In VLSC home page:
• Select Administration in main navigation bar
• Select Add New User
• Enter new user details• Select the Agreement you want to add
roles to• Click on Online Services Manager
A new attribute has been added to the OLS role called “Manage Reservation” which allows user access to the VLSC pages that make Online Services reservations

1. Click Licenses and Make

3. Select an eligible
Licensing ID row and click Continue
Select the date from the
calendar icon and continue. NOTE: The usage date is the date from which you will be
invoiced.
Now get a list of product family names to make reservations against. Click on the down arrow.
1. From Action drop
down menu select New License, enter number of licenses in the
Licenses field and the Usage Country from
the drop down
2. To change the usage
date click this calendar icon (date from which you will be invoiced).

2. If satisfied, click on Submitto proceed with the
reservation
Ensure all the details are correct! If you don’t correct it now
you only have 72 hours from the usage date to cancel the reservation
Confirmation email is sent to the user, once reservation is
submitted, refer to Appendix.

reservation, the error message will explain the next course of

If a user changes the Usage Date after making some step-up line item actions (but
before submitting the reservation) then the tool will evaluate if the change in Usage Date changes the step-up opportunities. If it does the red warning message will be displayed.

In the Action drop down menu,
select Step-Up License
In the License Reservation Page,
select a license ID and usage date
Now select the Step-Up Source. The
Available quantity will then be populated (6100 are available). Select Usage Country.
Now type in the number of Licenses required. Once this field is populated, the number of
available licences will decrease by the number of licenses you wish to reserve (the number of licenses cannot be greater than the number available i.e. 6100 or less).
1. Plan E2 is the
service the user wants to reserve.
2. Plan E1 is the
service the user want to pull resources
from.
3. 4100 is the number of
licenses you wish to reserve.
There were 6100 licenses available. If
4100 are used for Step-Up, then 2000 are now available for the source product
Plan E2 has 4100
licenses reserved. Click on Continue to
proceed.
Can do multiple step ups at the one time. For example you can do the same for Plan E3
step-up from E2. Refer to appendix for details
Reservation Confirmation
shows the multiple online services that make up this
one reservation. Click
Submit Reservation
Ensure all the details are correct! Only
have 72 hours from the usage date to cancel the reservation
Confirmation email is sent to the user, once reservation is
submitted, refer to Appendix.
Service History link is always
available and displays previous reservations. It can also be exported from the Manage Reservations page.
If there are no previous reservations, then an
information message is displayed.
Reservation ID is the
identifier generated after submission. This also
equates to the PO number
for the reservation in MSL
Can also select the various views and then
drill down. Refer to appendix.
Cancel button indicates that the reservation can be cancelled within 72 hours of usage date.
Can cancel a reservation by clicking Cancel in Reservation History, or License ID or in Manage Reservation views
Displays cancelled reservation or pending Cancellation in this case
