Camp Programs Full-Day Camp: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm

Includes a Friday Field Trip every week! Half –Day Camp: Monday-Thursday 8am-1pm

Extended Day (4-5pm) is available!

Week 1: World Travelers June 27 - July 1 This week of jet-setting activities will include games and crafts from all over the world. Our interna-tional journey ends with a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo to see some of the planet’s most fascinating animals. Week 2: Adventure Camp July 5 – 8* Campers with an adventurous spirit will delight in tackling our ropes course, completing their wilder-ness training, decoding treasure maps and much more. *Camp will be closed on Monday 7/4. Full and Half-day campers will attend on Friday (no field trip). Week 3: Race to the Future July 11—15 Our campers will zoom into the future with games and activities inspired by our favorite science fic-tion stories as we end the week with some hands-on science at the Franklin Institute. Week 4: Camp Hollywood July 18 - 22 This week, campers will be transported to Hollywood as they are tasked with creating their own mov-ies! Between writing, directing, music, special effects and set and costume design, campers will also take a break from their productions with some movie trivia and games inspired by famous flicks! Af-ter our Summer Camp film festival, we’ll finish the week with a trip the movies. Week 5: Summer Olympics July 25 - 29 Our young athletes celebrate the wide world of sports with a weeklong competition featuring sports and games from all over the globe. After the closing ceremony, campers will take their Friday field trip to the Riverwinds Community Center for some wall climbing, water sliding, and more! Week 6: Wet N’ Wild August 1—5 As the summer heats up, campers will slip n’ slide their way to keeping cool. Water balloons will fly in a week full of wet n’ wild games, which will end with an underwater exploration at the Adventure Aquarium! Week 7: Outside the Box August 8 - 12 Campers will need to work together to come up with creative solutions to a wide array of puzzles and group challenges. After a week of teamwork, campers will get one last bonding opportunity with a trip to the bowling alley. Week 8: Dreamer’s Studio August 15 - 19 This camp will ask our campers to dream big as we spend the week drawing up our creations for an-other FSMH Summer Camp World’s Fair! At the week’s end, campers will get some more hands on creative experience with a trip to Wheaton Arts.

Clay Creations June 27– July 1 Ages 5 - 14 Limited to 10 campers Creative campers are once again invited to make colorful beads, bugs, and other designs out of clay with T. Ruthie.

Pre-K and K Camps .

The World of Eric Carle July 11-15 (Ages 4 - 6) Come and discover the exciting world of Eric Carle with T. Nancy. Campers will join the Very Hungry Caterpillar as he munches his way through the week; watch the Very Busy Spider as he spins his web, and listen to the Very Quiet Cricket sing.

Mother Goose August 1-5 (Ages 3 - 6) Young campers read, dance, and act out many of the old Mother Goose favorites with T. Nancy. Each morning your child will create a craft and a delicious snack to go along with one of these classic stories. Theater Camp with T. Sophie July 25-29 Ages 6 - 14 Learn the basics of acting on stage from FSMH famous theater director, T. Sophie. The camp will culminate with a live performance at FSMH!.

Computer Camps Jason Quattrone, FSMH’s Instructional Tech-nologist, is excited to offer two new comput-

er camps this summer:

Scratch Computer Programming July 5– 8 (Ages 9- 14) Interested in coding but not sure where to start? Scratch is a fun and easy way to learn the basics of programming by using drag-and-drop blocks. This camp will focus on the basic functionality of Scratch, as campers will develop a solid foundation for creating ani-mation and basic games. Minecraft Madness July 18– 22 (Ages 9- 14) Love Minecraft? This camp will explore a Minecraft programming tool called a red-stone circuit, which is a structure that can be built to activate or control mechanisms. The principles of using redstone are very similar to that of building real-life electronics cir-cuits. In this course, campers will learn how to incorporate redstone into your Minecraft world to make it more interactive. As an added bonus, they'll also be previewing com-puter programming for Minecraft.

American Girl Doll Digital Diary August 1– 5 (Ages 6 - 13) Limited to 12 campers Bring your American Girl doll to camp with you, and together, you can tell a story! Using iMovie, you will create a short video starring your AG doll(s)! Create a script, choose costumes, build scenery, shoot footage, edit your scenes, etc. Learn the basics of iMovie while having fun with your AG dolls.

Baseball Camp July 11-15 Ages 6-14 Develop skills in hitting, pitching, fielding, and base-running with Cam-den Catholic High School head coach Bob Bergholtz. After leading baseball camps across the area for players of all skill levels, Coach Bob knows all of the best games and drills to turn out great young ballplayers.

Cheerleading August 8-12 (Ages 4-14)

Once again led by T. Tara, a member of the U. of Dela-ware cheer squad, our young cheerleaders will learn some great new cheers!

Creative Confections August 15-19 (Ages 6 - 14)

Cookies and cupcakes are about to get a makeover as campers will experiment with creative toppings and designs and then make these ideas a reality, culminating in an ar-ray of beautiful (and deli-cious) des-serts for the whole family to enjoy.

Full Day (M-F, 8am-4pm) $2250 $300

Half Day (M-TH, 8am-1pm) $1500 $200

Extended Day (4pm-5pm) $200 $30

-Full Day and Half-Day campers all receive a swim lesson (Mon-Thurs)

-Siblings receive a $50 discount for each week.

-Half-day campers may sign up for the Friday field trip for an additional $50.

**Activities are subject to cancellation due to enrollment 2 weeks in advance.
