     HOW CAN I ACCESSMOODLE THROUGH MOODLE MOBILE APP?          ONCE MOODLE MOBILE APP HASBEEN INSTALLED ON YOUR DEVICE,CONFIGURATION CAN BECOMPLETED IN TWO FOLLOWINGSTEPS:

FIRST STEP:LAUNCHING, MOODLE MOBILE APP WILL ASK YOU TOENTER THE URL OF YOUR MOODLESITE. OUR SITE ADDRESS ISHTTPS://LMS.PSU.EDU.SAONCE YOU’VE ENTERED THE SITE ADDRESS, CLICK  “CONNECT!”.

    SECOND STEP:ONCE CONNECTED TO OUR SITE ADDRESS, MOODLE MOBILE WILL ASK YOU FOR YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD.THIS IS THE SAME USERNAME AND PASSWORD THAT YOU ENTER WHEN ACCESSING MOODLE ON A DESKTOP.

First, confirm that you have

registered the missing course by

checking your Edugate system or visit

Registration office. Once you have

confirmed that all your registered

courses available in the Edugate,

confirm that you are enrolled in the

course in Moodle contacting your

instructor to ensure the course is turned

on for studentviewing. If you still can’t

WHEN I SIGN INTOMOODLE, I AM MISSING ACOURSE. WHAT CAN I DO?

First, get formal approve from your

course instructor to change your section.

Ask your instructor to send an email to

ELC team (E-Learning@psu.edu.sa)

requesting this change and provide us

withyour correct section number.

WHEN I SIGN INTOMOODLE, I AM IN THEWRONG COURSE SECTION. I WANT CHANGE MY SECTION?

First, contact your course instructor to enrol

you into the newly registered course, once

confirming the course details inyour

Edugate system. To remove dropped

course from your Moodle dashboard,please

contact ELC team (E-Learning@psu.edu.sa).

I DROPPED A COURSE ANDNEWLY REGISTERED A NEWCOURSE. IN MY MOODLEDASHBOARD IT STILL NOTUPDATED. WHAT SHOULD IDO?

This is either because:       

- The assignment has now closed byyour instructor.    

- The assignment is not yet open byyour instructor.

-You already uploaded somethingand the settings of the assignmentprevent resubmissions.

   WHY IS THERE NOUPLOAD BOX FOR MYONLINE ASSIGNMENT?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCEBETWEEN A FORUM AND ANONLINE ASSIGNMENT?

A discussion forum is public; whatever isposted is visible to the entire class. Thisis where you will respond to questionsposed by yourinstructor and/orcomment on the posts made by yourclassmates. If you everwish to send aprivate message to your instructor orany of your classmates, donot post it ona public forum! (Please see: MESSAGES)Please use professional discretionaboutwhat you post and where.An assignment, on the contrary, isprivate; the content remains betweenyou and your instructor only. This iswhere you will submityour work byclicking an assignment link just as youwould hand in a paper inclass.Depending on how the assignment is setup by the instructor, you may beaskedeither to upload a file or type your workdirectly into a text-box.

When you successfullysubmit an assignment intoMoodle, you willsee “Submitted forgrading”:

You will be asked to attach fileinto a submission box, but it could notbe uploaded onto Turnitin. Note: If your instructor is asking you toupload a file, they should inform youwhat file format you should submit (eg.,.pdf, .doc, .pptx or .docx). If you are typing your assignment onPage file using your Mac tool, don’tforget to save your file as mentionedby your instructor.

WHY I CAN’T SUBMIT MYTURNITIN ASSIGNMENT INMOODLE?

 CAN I SEND MESSAGES TOMY INSTRUCTOR IN MOODLEPLATFORM?

YOU CAN SEND MESSAGES TO YOURINSTRUCTOR OR YOUR CLASSMATESTHROUGH MOODLE. TO ENTERMOODLE’S MESSENGER,CLICK ON THE ICON NEXT TO YOURNAME ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNEROFTHE PAGE. SELECT NEW MESSAGE ANDTYPE THE NAME OF THE PERSON YOUWISH TOMESSAGE IN THE “SEARCH FORA USER OR COURSE” BOX.

Click on the Grades link. From there,you canclick on the name of any assignmentcompleted in Moodle and review yourattempts, grades and/or feedbackcomments. If the Grades link doesnot appear, your instructor may notbe using the gradebook.

 HOW DO I CHECK MYGRADES?

Your instructor may ask you to postyour opinion on a given topic,respond to a course reading, orintroduce yourself to the class.Forums will probably be the mostinteractive aspect of your course onMoodle so you should participate inthem regularly. Some forumdiscussions occur all on one screen,while others function as threadeddiscussions with posts appearing onvarious threads.Depending on how the discussionforum was set up by your instructor,you can either start a new threadyourself or enter an existing one andreply to previous statements.

Yes! It is always a good habit tokeep copies of your work. Make sure yousave all your work on your owncomputer in addition to entering orsubmitting it on Moodle. You may alsoneed to workon it off-line, so it’s alwaysa good idea to complete your work onyour ownhard drive and then submit it toMoodle.

IF YOUR PROBLEM IS NOTSOLVED YET, YOU CANCONTACT IT THROUGH ITC_CW@PSU.EDU.SA FORFEMALE STUDENTS AND ITC@PSU.EDU.SA FOR MALE STUDENTSTHEY WILL PROVIDE YOUWITH THE REQUIREDSUPPORT.

The size limit for uploading files is 250MB, if your file size is larger than thissize, you can zip it before uploading itinto Moodle.

     UPLOAD/SUBMIT MYFILES/DOCUMENTS ONMOODLE, BUT THE SIZEREQUIRED IS VERY SMALL(10KB) COMPAREDTO MINE (UP TO 300KB)WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Please note that Moodle does notaccept files in Arabic i.e. ملف.doc[JZ1] however, it could be acceptable if thecontents is written in Arabic language. Youshould transform the file name into Englishin order to do the submission successfullyi.e. File.doc. 

 DOES MOODLE ACCEPT FILEASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION INARABICNAMING?

The acceptable formats that Turnitin

accepts are:   

 

- Microsoft Word (DOC and DOCX)

- Corel Word Perfect HTML.

- Adobe PostScript

- Plain text (TXT)

- Rich Text Format (RTF)

- Portable Document Format (PDF).

WHY TURNITIN INMOODLE DOESNOT ACCEPT MYASSIGNMENTSUBMISSION?
