DESCRIPTION
Presentation at Learning Technologies Conference 2009, Mooloolaba, Australia. Moodle is an open-source course management system designed using sound pedagogical principles, to help educators create effective learning communities. The software can be freely downloaded and can scale from a single educator site to a university with many thousands of users. Moodle has a large and diverse community with over 700k registered users on moodle.org speaking 78 languages in 211 countries. Through a school case study illustrating a successful implementation, learn about the benefits of Moodle's social constructivist approach to education using blogs, chat, forums, tags, wikis and the integration of web 2.0 services such as flickr, twitter and youtube.
