Our project is based on positive and negative space in a sculpture.

We will build a sculpture and form it into an abstract form.

AbstractArt which includes painting, sculpture, and graphic art, that does not represent recognizable objects.

You have to use your imagination to figure it out.

How do you plan for an abstract piece of artwork?

First you have to think about your materials.

In this case, it is Wood, Hangers, Glue, Gesso, and Paint.

Next draw some things you might want your piece to represent. I have taught students who have made animals, plants, faces, trees, hands, birds, academy awards, etc…..

Your imagination goes wild on this project.
