Hood Adjustment
1. Front Grille Cover - Remove
2. Hood - Adjust
1. Slightly loosen the hood hinge mounting bolts (A, B) and the hood latch mounting bolts (C).
2. Adjust the hood (D) alignment in the following sequence:
Adjust the hood right and left, as well as forward and rearward, by using the elongated holes in the hood hinges (E).
Turn the hood edge cushions (F), in or out as necessary, to make the hood fit flush with the body at the front and sideedges.

3. Adjust the hood latch (G) to obtain the proper height at the forward edge, and move the latch right or left until the striker (H) iscentered in the latch.
4. Tighten each bolt to the specified torque.
5. Check that the hood opens properly and closes securely.
6. Apply the touch-up paint to the hinge mounting bolts and around the hinges, and let the paint dry.
7. Apply the multipurpose grease to the hood latch and thehood hinges as indicated by the arrows.

1. Slightly loosen the trunk lid hinge bolts (A) and the striker bolts (B).

2. Adjust the trunk lid (C) alignment in the following sequence:
Adjust the trunk lid hinges (D) right and left, as well as forward and rearward, by using the elongated holes. Take care notto hit the rear window when loosening the bolts.
Turn the trunk lid edge cushions (E), in or out as necessary, to make the trunk lid fit flush with the body at the rear andside edges.
Adjust the fit between the trunk lid and the trunk lid opening by moving the striker (F).
3. Tighten each bolt to the specified torque.
4. Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.

1. Check the trunk lid opener switch (A) according to the table.
NOTE:When an LED is located between terminals, check ifthe LED illuminates by connecting power and ground tothe LED.
Note this important operating characteristic; diode biascauses a diode to fully conduct electricity in onedirection (forward), while not at all in the oppositedirection (reverse).
2. If the result is not as specified, replace the trunk lid openerswitch.
3. All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

1. Trunk Light - Test
NOTE: When doing the trunk light test, make sure to install thebulb correctly.
1. Check the light according to the table.
NOTE: Note this important operating characteristic; diodebias causes a diode to fully conduct electricity in onedirection (forward), while not at all in the opposite direction(reverse).
2. If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or trunklight (A).

Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box Removal and Installation

NOTE: The under-hood fuse/relay box is a part of the engine compartment wire harness, and it cannot be replaced by itself.
1. PCM - Remove
2. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
3. Relay Circuit Board - Remove
4. Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box - Remove

1. Disconnect the cables (A).
2. Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box (B) from the bracket(C).
3. Cut the bands (D).
4. Remove the bottom covers (E) from the under-hoodfuse/relay box.
5. Remove the fuse(s) (F).
6. Carefully remove the relays using the relay puller tool.
NOTE: Do not use pliers. Pliers will damage the relays,which could cause the engine to stall, not start, or causeother functions to fail.
5. All Removed Parts - Install
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
