DescriptionVOTED NEW HAMPSHIRE'S FAVORITESTATE PARK BY NEW HAMPSHIRE RESIDENTS!Franconia Notch State Park is located in the heart of the popular White Mountain National Forest. Franconia Notch is a spectacularmountain pass traversed by a unique interstate, which extends from the Flume Gorge at the south end to Echo Lake Beach at the northend. For eight miles, Interstate 93 is located between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges.
Major Park AttractionsThe major attractions in Franconia Notch State Park are the Flume Gorge, the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramwayand the Old Man of the Mountain Memorial Park.
The Flume Gorge is a two-mile self-guided nature walk that includes an 800' long gorge with sheer 70'–90' rock walls. Other attractions are the pool, glacial boulders and covered bridges.
The Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway is an 80-passenger tram, whichmakes a quick ascent 2,080 vertical feet to the 4,080' summit. On cleardays, visitors to the summit can see views of four states and Canada.
Whether seeking leisurely or strenuous activity, reflective pursuits orfamily outings, visitors to the Old Man of the Mountain Memorial Parkcan enjoy stunning views, alpine and Notch by-ways and trails, as well asmultiple interactive opportunities. Central to the Park are the magificentOld Man stone works, spread out along the pathway from the base ofCannon Mountain to the shore of Profile Lake. At the water’s edge,visitors can line up the profiler’s irregular edges to capture the outline ofthe famous Old Man profile to his former perch. You can also browsethrough the new Old Man Museum and Tramway Country Store. You’llfind the convenience of group friendly bathrooms at this location.
Franconia Notch State Park is also home to the Basin, Boise Rock,Lafayette Campground, Echo Lake Beach and the New EnglandSki Museum.
2015 Hours and Dates of OperationFranconia Notch State Park is open year round.
The Flume Gorge is open from early May into late October (weather permitting).
The Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway will be open from mid-Mayto mid-October, and from late Novemberto mid-April (snow dependent).

Group rates are based on20+ people, with no charge for the driver and escort. Payment is dueupon arrival. No deposits required and there are no other fees to enterthe Park or park busses. All major credit cards, company checks orcash are accepted at all locations.
Bus Tour Dining OptionsThere are many dining options in the State Park. Cannon Mountaincan provide anything from a corn roast at the base of the Tramway tofull catered meals at the summit. At the Flume Gorge, your group canenjoy a meal on our outside deck or inside the Visitor Center. Both theFlume and the Tramway can also provide box lunches to go. Please askabout other group dining options not listed.
