World SLINKY Day Today (Monday 30th August) is World Slinky Day! If you have a slinky see if you can make it go down a full flight of stairs, or figure out how to get it to walk down a hill, or if you can get it to walk from the table down some various household things like chairs, books and end tables, to end up neatly coiled on the floor. Or for those extreme enthusiasts out there, see about breaking the Guinness Book of World Records distance for longest Slinky distance travelled. Maybe look into some of the science behind how the Slinky works, and exactly why the Slinky does what it does. Imagine you are a travel guide convincing people to visit the Northern Territory! What important facts could you include in your advertisement? Send your video to your classroom teacher!

Something Fun: Build a blanket cubby house. Draw up a plan for your cubbyhouse and create a list of the items you will need.

Draw your koala into an Australian landscape background. You might draw the koala into a gum tree! You can choose which medium you would like to use e.g. paint, crayons, pencils etc. Something Fun: Create a Joy Jar. Each day, write a sentence on a piece of paper about what made you joyful that day
