Message Ashoka Institute of Engineering & Technology was

established in 2009 by Ashok Sailaja Educational

Society (Non-Profit) in 30 acre lush green campus

at Malkapur, Hyderabad. It is approved by AICTE,

affiliated to JNTU-Hyderabad & accredited by NAAC

Apart from B. Tech courses in CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil

and Mechanical Engineering; M. Tech in Machine

Design, VLSI & Structural Engineering; Diploma in

EEE, Civil & Mechanical Engineering the institute

also offers MS-Electrical & Computer Engineering

in collaboration with University of Massachusetts

Amherst (UMass) where students can study first

year here, second year at USA & get a degree from

UMass. It also offers IAS / IES coaching which is

powered Innovation Center & e-Yantra supported

Robotics Lab by IIT-Bombay are operational in the

IETE, CSI and ICI to support student chapters.

We are also going to organize an international

conference with keynote speakers from University

of Maryland, USA & Kumamoto University, Japan.

Foreword

Ashoka Innovazi is Technology Business Incubator

of Ashoka Group of Institutions, Hyderabad that

fosters an entrepreneurial ecosystem among the

students and faculty in the region. It is registered

as Section-8 Company (Non-Profit) under Ministry

of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India.

Institution’s Innovation Council under the Ministry

of Human Resource Development (MHRD) was

established by MHRD Innovation Cell (MIC) here.

Students & Faculty have attended the Leadership

Talk Series regularly and also participated in the

Smart India Hackathon conducted by MIC.

Three Days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp

was organized by Entrepreneurship Development

Institute of India (EDII) under scheme of National

Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Devel-

opment Board (NSTEDB), Ministry of Science and

Technology, Government of India. Dr. Sanjeev

Chaturvedi, Director–National Institute of Ministry

of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME),

Government of India inaugurated the camp in the

presence of officials from Atal Incubation Centers,

NITI-Aayog, DLRL-DRDO, DSIR-CSIR, etc.

Ashoka Innovazi Inc. signed a Memorandum of

Understanding (MOU) with Sindoz Turtle Startup

Incubator, subsidiary of Turtle Holdings Ltd. China

and initiated the Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Competition for Overseas Talents which attracted

participants from IIM-Ahmadabad, IIT-Bombay,

IIT-Madras, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Roorkee, etc.

After taking charge as CEO, Data Security

Council of India (DSCI–NASSCOM) he is

Workshop on Ethical Hacking and Cyber

Security during 08 - 09 February 2019 and

Advocacy on Digital Safety on 03rd August

2019 were organized respectively by Dept.

step forward in this direction.

eastern University, Boston and the Andhra

Pradesh State Skill Development Corpora-

tion, Government of Andhra Pradesh was

invited as Chief Guest for the inauguration

of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell

(E-Cell) at Ashoka Institute of Engineering

and Technology on 20th September 2018.

Mr. Vijay Kumar Makyam, IP Attorney and

CEO, i-Win IP Services gave a seminar on

“Intellectual Property Rights Management”

on 08th September 2018. He explained the

importance of Patents, Copyrights, Designs

Trademarks, etc. with special focus on the

Start-ups. He also spoke about support

extended by Start-up India

Mr. Ebenezer Okorie, Co–Founder of Hapni

Camp, NIGERIA who is doing his Master of

Business Administration (MBA) from Guru

Nanak Institutions, Hyderabad delivered a

leadership talk on 01 April 2019 at Ashoka

Institute of Engineering and Technology.

He inspired the students with his expertise

and experience in being an Evangelist,

Entrepreneur, Life Coach, Career Coach,

and Motivational Speaker at Nigeria.

He inaugurated the E-Cell in presence of

was elected as President who took oath of

Technology (IIIT - Hyderabad) on February

15, 2019. Ms. Aisheetha Gudala, Commu-

nity Manager at T-Hub welcomed students

and facilitated them with enthusiasm

Mr. ISV Satya Kedar during his final year of

B. Tech in EEE identified that Telangana

state is recorded as highest in fatalities

caused due to electrical accidents & most

of the victims are farmers and their cattle

in rural areas. He started his research and

developed electrical safety equipment that

is used on daily basis for the agricultural

activity. He started Social Enterprise called

NITI-Aayog was the Guest-of-Honour along

the Invited Talks on Entrepreneurship.

Professor Ramesh Loganathan, Head - CIE,

IIIT-Hyderabad and former Chief Innovation

Officer, Telangana State Innovation Cell

addressed the students & motivated them

to come-up with new and innovative ideas

that can lead to entrepreneurship. He also

introduced some of the Deep-Tech Startup

companies incubated at CIE, IIITH under

his mentorship. He also agreed to visit the

college soon to listen to the student ideas.

Kaanthi to conduct awareness camps at

villages and educate the farmers on safety.

He was supported by IEEE Special Interest

Group for Humanitarian Technology; Bala

Vikasa International Center; Fellowship

program of Kanthari; & was awarded with

Commonwealth Youth Excellence Award.

He inspired the students with achievements

that he got in such a young age.

Director of SAATRA Capital Advisory and

Investment Committee member at Kalinga

Institute of Industrial Technology (KIITS)

introduced the various investment options

Mr. Amit Kapoor, Associate Director, Cigniti

Technologies Ltd. spoke on importance of

Marketing, Strategy, Branding, etc. in the

Entrepreneurship. He also explained that

communication skills play major role.

Two final year students Mr. S. S. Saandeep

and Mr. T. Sitaram who are enthusiastic in

niche technologies like Machine Learning,

Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet-of-Things,

Robotics, Space Science, etc. started their

company called Robogyan to train school

teachers so that they in turn can teach the

students. Their Startup got recognized by

Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences and

also received financial support from NATS

(North America Telugu Society) in order to

implement the Government programs.

Innovation Centers at all the departments

are established to focus on specific areas

of technology and enable maker - spaces

for the students. Computer Science and

Engineering department is using SAP 360°

Civil and Mechanical Engineering depts. are

using 3D Printer, Multi – Axis Robots, CNC

machine, etc. respectively; Electrical and

Electronics Engineering & Electronics and

Communication Engineering departments

are using PCB design, Raspberry Pi, etc.

The student committee members of the

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (E-Cell)

conducted auditions on 9th August 2019 in

order to elect the next student committee.

The 2nd and 3rd year students from all the

branches with interest towards innovation

and entrepreneurship were invited for the

selection process and based on their per-

formance students were nominated to

lead the E-Cell for the next academic year.

The present committee will hand over their

responsibilities after their successful com-

pletion of one year and the results will be

announced on 30th August 2019 during

the inauguration of the A-Hub Hackathon.
