According to Mary O’Hara Deveraux’s Third Law of the Future, the global phenomena that today take us by storm, began being little pulses. How to systematically perceive, record, analyze and interpret these pulses? How to study possible and probable futures? How to identify visions of the future? These are some of the questions this program sets out to decipher.

Professionalized since the 20th century, futures studies today are having a new boom.

In the Foresight Program

Those interested in developing knowledge, abilities, and skills to study probable, possible and desirable futures, as well as the images of the future; as well as contribute to the implementation of desirable futures through social intelligence exercises. In short, the course is aimed at professionals interested in understanding change to make strategic decisions - both individual and organizational.

This program trains specialists in: signal and trend analysis, scenario design, prototyping and implementation of possible, probable and/or preferable futures; image analysis from the future; design of strategic actions based on possible future scenarios; creative communication of specific future scenarios.

Process of admission

Characteristicsof the program

• 100% of higher education credits• Degree option for CENTRO graduates.• Advanced English.• Letter of intent and interview with the Program Management.• Short preparation course

Duration 2 semesters. Credits 48 credits. Start August. Dedication Part time. Complementary activities subject

to programming. Hours Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.

to 2 p.m. plus complementary activities.

Futures RetreatEvery year, the generation of students who graduate designs, under the guidance of Jake Dunagan, a workshop for experiential futures with which he receives the new generation that will start the specialty. This workshop takes place in the context of a retreat that students, teachers and mentors carry out together.To date, the INAOE Large Millimeter Telescope has been visited, the East Emission Tunnel of the deep drainage, the archaeological zone of Malinalco and the municipality of Amanalco.
