SERVICE CHAIRPERSONS - 2019
Vice-President’s Message for APRIL 2019
Sunshine Report
Jerry Dorville will be having a procedure soon. Prayers with him.
Dear Fellow Members,
As I glance out the living room window I see
my Model A pickup sitting there, just waiting for
another adventure! Off to the feed store for some
goat and chicken feed. Then return the log split-
ter to my neighbors. Wander through Kilroy’s to
find a car part. Run some parts to George’s and
assist him with his Model A.
Attend the Auburn Hill Climb, then to the fair-
grounds to the Blacksmith Meet, or maybe to Cal
Expo to the swap meet. I cannot forget the Mili-
tary Vehicle meet in Plymouth. So many adven-
tures to choose from and that truck sitting outside
calls me to go.
I am a little bored with one Model A truck. I
may convert it to a speedster. Then I can partici-
pate in the Hill Climb with a “racer”.
There are unlimited things to do with these
Model A’s; IN them and WITH them. Where is your
Model A leading you next?
Pleasant spring adventures,
Respectfully, Steve

Meeting Minutes from April 25 Meeting
Meeting was called to order by President Kay Harms at 7:05 PM.
No guests at the meeting. Since the club meeting on March 28th, Jack Corliss has joined our club
as a new member. Jack is in attendance tonight.
Members were asked if there were corrections to the minutes of the March 28th meeting as
printed in the club newsletter. Kay Harms noted under the treasurer’s report, it is stated “Kristi
Turnsk, Jan Elliott and Virginia Campbell did a review of the .........2019 budget.” A correction
needs to be made to indicate the review was for treasurer’s reports on file for 2018. Motion to
approve the minutes as corrected was made by Bobbie Whiting and seconded by Aaron Johnson.
Treasurer, Jan Elliott, was not present but she sent the current treasurer’s report to Kay Harms.
An overview of the report for March 27-April 24th was presented by Kay. Expenses included
rent to the Elks Lodge and the yearly fee for our club website. Income was received from several
business for advertising in our club news letter. No questions or discussion. Report will be put
in file for review at the end of the calendar year. In a letter received from Virginia Campbell (one
of those who did the 2018 year end review), she states “I consider the records to be complete and
accurate during my review.”

collection started, information about the pennys in general and answered questions from our group.
Officers’ Reports, (con’t)----
Tour Chairman Aaron Johnson asked Vern Harms for a report on the 1st Annual Club Swap
Meet held on April 20th. Some items sold at the swap meet were donated by former club
members Bob Pennington, Tim Fagan and Ardy Tobin. Money received from sale of those items
goes to the club treasury.
Aaron passed out the current tour schedule and specifically noted the April 27th FAST Hill Climb
tour, the May 4th Downtown Grass Valley Car Show and June 2nd Auburn Swap Meeting and the

Five ladies met at Kmart at 9:30 for a tour of a couple of garden shops. Our first stop was Prospector
Nursery in Nevada City.
A leisurely tour around the shop resulted in several purchases by a couple of us.
Next, we went to Wildflower Gift Shop and Nursery in Penn Valley. Checked out several interesting plants and pots.
Lunch was on the patio at Tofanelli’s. Good food and great company.
Thank you to those who attended----Vicky Straw, Kristi Turnsk, Virginia Campbell, and Sandy Yanko.
