    th e church here . E rnes t i nv i t e d him in and among th e ques t i on s t h a t he asked were :"Do you emphas i ze th e c ro s s ? Do you b ap t i z e by immer s ion? Do you s e rve communionevery Sunday?" By t he q u es ti on s we knew t h a t hehad some knowledge o f Ch r i s t i a n i t y , Then hesaid that his family were members of the Mormon r ii-i -v 1church but d ur in g h is r ecen t hosp i t a l i za t ion hehad read the Bible through and had come to the If' iconclusion that th e Mormon church was wrong and k 1he was looking for a church that was t ruer to mrjkthe Bible. Costs were reduced as Ernest and Neva enjoyed a fewdays of vacation a t the lake refinishing the inside windows and doors and paintingthe woodwork. Moiwashita and Tomakomai churches donated some equipment for the

    bu i l d i ng .Dedication for the camp s i te , called Toya Christ ian House, was on July 21 st w ithChristians from Higashi ku, Moiwashita, and Tomakomai churches of Ch ri st p re se nt .Also present were three gentlemen who were responsible for obtaining the s i te and thebuilding. Due to other commitments the contractor was not able to be present.Four different groups have used the site this summer with over 100 people

    involved , The Higashi ku Church is planning a fall retreat there on September 22 and23, a na t i ona l ho lid ay in Japan . We lookforward to greater usage next year. Upkeep ofthe building is paid for from fees charged tothe churches who use the camp s i te .Our summer schedule included VBS with 18 'Jchildren in attendance. This was held July 29-31 and resul ted in tw o neighborhood chi ld renenrolling in Sunday School.
