STEWARDSHIP NOTE “To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit.” (1 Corinthians 12:7) St. Paul tells us that God has blessed each of us for a reason. How has God blessed you? Are you using your gifts according to God’s plan? How are you helping to build God’s kingdom here on earth? Remember that if you don’t do the work God planned for you, no one else can do it. Live the life God has intended for you, feel His love, peace and joy!
CCD - RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School
Students of the 10th grade of our CCD program have made prayer cards with a special prayer to be offered for each student in the 2nd grade First Holy Communion Class. We kindly ask you to take one of the prayer cards with the name of a child and continue to pray for this child until the First Holy Communion day. The prayer cards are available at the entrance to the church.
WEDNESDAY - NOVENA to Our Lady of Perpetual Help will be said after evening Mass 6:30pm in Polish. Prayer requests in English or Polish, printed clearly may be placed in the box at the main entrance.
CONCERT OF CHRISTMAS CAROLS Thank you all for participation in the Concert of Christmas Carols last Sunday, January 13th. Choirs from Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in Boston, St. Joseph Basilica in Webster and our own choir performed beautiful Christams Carols, as we closed the Christmas Season in the liturgy. MASS INTENTIONS AND OFFERTORY PROCESSION
It is an act of faith and charity to request Mass intentions for our loved ones, living and deceased, or for ourselves. We would like to encourage those who have reserved the Weekend Masses to bring the ‘offertory gifts’ to the altar. It is preferred that you and / or your family bring up the gifts at the Mass. We understand that some are not comfortable doing this, may have some mobility issues, may not be in attendance, etc. so, we are asking that if you are in attendance and would like to bring the gifts forward, that you make yourself known to the priest, deacon or sacristan at least 10 minutes before the Mass in the sacristy. After the collectors pass your pew please make your way to the mid-section of the church to the offertory table where you will find the offertory gifts. An altar server(s) will come to you and escort you forward with the gifts. Thank you. “The Holy Mass transcends time and space, uniting the faithful in heaven, on earth and in purgatory into Holy Communion, and the Holy Eucharist Itself augments, (expands) our union with Christ, wipes away venial sins, and preserves us from future mortal sins (cf. Catechism, No. 1391-1396). Therefore, the offering of Mass and other prayers or sacrifices for the intentions of the faithful departed are good and holy acts. This practice is not new. The Catechism asserts, "From the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic
Sacrifice, so that, thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God" (No. 1032)”.
MEN OF ST. JOSEPH - MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Our parish is starting up an adult men’s group for Bible study, and small group conversations about their faith and the challenges facing Catholic men. The primary focus of the group will be to offer a relaxed open environment for men to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and take that influence back into their family and community. The group will follow a program based on the diocesan division of the Men of St. Joseph of Rhode Island. NEW PARISH LENDING LIBRARY Perhaps you have noticed the new bookcase located in the entryway of the church, just to the right of the choir loft stairway. Recently, a couple of parishioners donated a bookcase along with an assortment of new and gently used books on the Catholic Faith. These books have been made available to our parishioners to help us increase our knowledge of the Catholic Faith, thereby increasing our love of our Lord and practice of our Faith. Please take a minute to look over the selection. You are able to take a book, returning it when you have finished or keeping it to share with another to benefit from. If you have any books on our Catholic Faith that are collecting dust on your bookshelf at home, please consider adding them to this new lending library for others to learn from as well. Please take full advantage of this new opportunity for us all to grow in Faith and be sure to check the shelves frequently as our selection will have some turnover!
ADULT CONFIRMATION - Are you a baptized, catechized Roman Catholic adult (18 or older) who has never been confirmed? The Diocese of Worcester will celebrate a diocesan-wide adult Confirmation on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Cathedral of St. Paul, Worcester. A retreat to prepare for Confirmation will be offered on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Spiritual Renewal Center in Putnam, CT. If interested, please contact the pastor for more information.

Niech będzie pochwalony Jezus Chrystus! 2 NIEDZIELA ZWYKŁA
„Zróbcie wszystko, cokolwiek wam powie”. (J 2,5)
W dzisiejszej Ewangelii, widzimy Chrystusa i Jego Matkę na weselu w Kanie Galilejskiej. Wydarzenie to ukazuje nam dwa bardzo ważne aspekty naszej wiary: objawienie się Jezusa jako Syna Bożego (poprzez ukazanie mocy czynienia cudów) oraz objawienie się Maryi jako Wspomożycielki i Orędowniczki (przez wstawiennictwo w obliczu nieszczęścia człowieka). Je-zus, czyniąc swój pierwszy, publiczny cud, ukazuje moc Bożą, która jest w Nim, a przez to utwierdza swoich uczniów w prze-konaniu, że jest Tym, na którego czekały pokolenia. Apostoło-wie potrzebowali tego znaku, aby w pełni zawierzyć swojemu Nauczycielowi, dla którego pozostawili wszystko i za którym poszli. Spoglądając na to wydarzenie, możemy zauważyć, że dla Jezusa nie ma rzeczy niemożliwych, a każdy, kto poświęci wszystko dla Niego, uzyska obfite błogosławieństwo. Ważną rolę w tym wydarzeniu odgrywa Matka Jezusa. To na Jej proś-bę Chrystus przemienił wodę w wino, pomimo tego, że „nie nadeszła Jego godzina”. Maryja jawi się jako Ta, która dostrze-ga ludzką biedę i stara się jej zaradzić. Staje się Wspomoży-cielką i Orędowniczką w trudnych chwilach życia. Ona wska-zuje, co mamy czynić: „Zróbcie wszystko, cokolwiek wam powie”. A Jezus pragnie od nas tylko jednego: byśmy się wza-jemnie miłowali, jak On nas umiłował. Wpatrując się w scenę z Kany, przyjmijmy Jezusa do naszego życia jako jedynego Pana i prośmy Maryję, naszą najlepszą Matkę, by wypraszała nam cud przemiany naszych serc.
CCD - LEKCJE RELIGII W poniedziałek obchodzimy dzień Martina Lutera Kinga - dzień wolny od zajęć szkolnych
Uczniowie 10 klasy CCD przygotowali obrazki z modlitwą za każde dziecko z 2 klasy przygotowujące się do Sakramentu Pierwszej Komunii Świętej w naszej parafii. Wszystkich chęt-nych prosimy o zabranie jednego obrazka z imieniem dziecka i modlitwą oraz o kontynuację modlitwy za to konkretne dziec-ko do dnia Pierwszej Komunii. Modlitwy przygotowane są w języku polskim i angielskim na dwóch tablicach umieszczonych przy wejściu do kościoła.
ŚRODA – 6:30 PM – Msza św. i Nowenna do Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy i św. Jana Pawła II w j. polskim. Prośby i podziękowania za wstawiennictwem Matki Bożej i św. Jana Pawła II można wrzucać do skrzynki przy głównym wejściu do kościoła.
PIĄTEK - 6:30 PM - Msza św. i Koronka do Miłosierdzia Bożego
DZIĘKUJEMY Szkole języka Polskiego za przygotowanie Jasełek Bożonarodzeniowych i wystawienie ich w naszym ko-ściele w ostatnią niedzielę. KONCERT KOLĘD - W ostatnią niedzielę, o godz. 3:00 po południu w naszym kościele odbył się Koncert Kolęd w wyko-naniu chórów z parafii polonijnych z Bostonu, Webster oraz naszej parafii.
Było to piękne przeżycie i okazja, aby na zakończenie Okresu Bożego Narodzenia posłuchać, a także zaśpiewać piękne, pol-skie kolędy. Bóg zapłać wszystkim parafianom i gościom za obecność! DOM SAMOTNEJ MATKI (Visitation House) przy End-cott St. składa podziękowanie wszystkim parafianom, którzy wzięli udział w Baby Bottle Drive Butelka dla niemowlaka). Nasi parafianie uzbierali łącznie $2,434. To duża pomoc dla matek i ich dzieci. Bóg Zapłać!
INTENCJE MSZALNE I DARY OFIARNE Intencje mszy świętych, ofiarowane za naszych bliskich, ży-wych lub zmarłych, są znakiem naszej wiary w obecność Boga w Eucharystii i naszym życiu, a także są skuteczną pomocą dla tych, za których się modlimy. Tradycją i przywilejem jest, że rodzina lub osoba, która prosi o Mszę, może uczestniczyć w procesji i przynieść dary ofiarne (chleb i wino) do ołtarza. W związku z tym mamy prośbę, aby chętni do przyniesienia darów do ołtarza, przyszli do zakrystii i powiadomili o tym księdza, diakona lub zakrystianina co najmniej 10 minut przed Mszą św. Następnie, podczas kolekty, prosimy o udanie się do stolika na środku kościoła, gdzie będą przygotowane dary. Bóg zapłać! Kościół od początku czcił pamięć zmarłych i ofiarował im po-moce, a w szczególności Ofiarę Eucharystyczną, by po oczysz-czeniu mogli dojść do uszczęśliwiającej wizji Boga. Kościół zaleca także jałmużnę, odpusty i dzieła pokutne za zmarłych: „Nieśmy im pomoc i pamiętajmy o nich. Jeśli synowie Hioba zostali oczyszczeni przez ofiarę ich ojca, dlaczego mielibyśmy wątpić, że nasze ofiary za zmarłych przynoszą im jakąś pocie-chę? Nie wahajmy się nieść pomocy tym, którzy odeszli, i ofiarujmy za nich nasze modlitwy.” (św. Jan Chryzostom).
MĘŻCZYŹNI ŚW. JÓZEFA - ZAPROSZENIE
Z radością pragniemy poinformować o tworzącej się w naszej parafii grupie dla mężczyzn w ramach międzynarodowej orga-nizacji: Mężczyźni św. Józefa. Będzie to grupa, która poprzez wspólne miesięczne spotkania, modlitwę, rozważanie Słowa Bożego i podejmowanie ważnych z punktu widzenia mężczyzn i ich roli w rodzinie i społeczeństwie tematów, będzie służyć i pomagać mężczyznom w wypełnianiu ich powołania. Pierwsze spotkanie, połączone z projekcją filmu, odbędzie się w Sobotę, 9 lutego, o godz. 5:30. Zapraszamy wszystkich chętnych mężczyzn! Na spotkaniu będzie też można uzyskać więcej informacji. DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE LEGAL PROTECTION
OF UNBORN CHILDREN - TUESDAY, JANUARY 22nd This week we will be remembering the tragic anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that lega-lized abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy for vir-tually any reason. Over 60 million unborn children have lost their lives through legalized abortion in the last 46 years in the United States alone. Please consider joining us this Tuesday, January 22nd as we gather to pray for an end to this evil which affects every aspect of our society. Our day will begin with the celebration of Holy Mass at 6:30am followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sa-crament in the side Chapel. We will pray together, on each hour, a Pro-Life Rosary as well as other prayers for the protec-tion of all human life, throughout the hour. There will be time to pray silently in front of Jesus in the Eucharist. The Blessed Sacrament will be reposed at 12:00 noon. You may join us for the full 5 1/2 hours or stop in for prayer anytime throughout the morning. Abortion is an incredible blight on our world as well as a direct offense against our Lord’s Commandment “Thou shalt not murder”. Prayer is the most powerful tool we have in this fight for the protection of the amazing gift from God, human life.
PARISH PRO-LIFE MINISTRY MEETING
If the Holy Spirit has placed on your heart a desire to work and pray for the protection of human life from conception to natural death, please join with fellow parishioners on Monday, Febru-ary 11th from 7:00 - 8:30pm. We will meet in the side Chapel to pray the Rosary together and then discuss Pro-Life ideas and projects we would like to bring to and support in our parish. We are looking for people who have any amount of time to
give, who speak English, Polish or both, who have never been involved in the Pro-Life Ministry and those who have a lot of experience - as long as you have a desire to do the Will of God, we need you to join us. If you have any questions or would like to discuss any ideas prior to the meeting, feel free to contact Julie Koss-Stephany at 508-320-2965. Thank you for consider-ing joining us in February.
FROM VISITATION HOUSE We have received a thank you letter from Visitation House. „I’m writing to thank you for your continued support of Visita-tion House. (…) Our Lady of Czestochowa raised $2,434.00, which represented one of the top 6 Parishes that participated. (..) Baby bottles, as a fundraiser, represents 25-35% of our total income revenue in a fiscal year. Please share this information with your generous parishioners and with the team who organized this fundraiser on behalf of Visitation House. This coming year will be particularly meaningful for Visitation House.—We will be starting our 15th. year since opening. Vi-sitation House has changed the way we serve pregnant women so much over this time period. And yet, our goal of providing a safe haven, education, food, clothing and a Christian home re-mains a constant. It’s the change part that drives our passion to keep pursuing a real transformation for our moms and babies. Without Parishes like Our Lady of Czestochowa, we would cease to exist and wouldn't that be a great loss. We cannot continue to serve this population without your continued support.
