been postponed until Sunday June 23rd . The cur-rent 240 Club session ends on May 12th and the new

FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

“The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.” (Acts

13:52) The disciples heard Our Lord’s call and were able to spread the Gospel message with strength and vitality. We, too, can experience that same joy if we make room for the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts. When we use our gifts in the way that God intends, He fills us with supernatural joy, a joy that others notice and to which others are attracted.

FIRST CONFESSIONS AND FIRST COMMUNION This week the second-grade students, from our CCD Program will partake for the first time in the Sacrament of Penance on Thursday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m., and First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 19th at a 1:30 PM Mass. Children have been preparing for these important moments under the guidance of their catechist Mrs. Hiester, assisted by Olivia Szydlik and their parents. Let us remember them and their families in our prayers on these important days. We want these sacraments of First Confession and the First Holy Communion to be the beginning of a regular encounter with Jesus for these children. We hope their parents, godparents and family will help them with that by their example. We also thank everyone who prayed for these children and their families as part of the prayer adoption.

FATIMA DEVOTION As we know, in Fatima in 1917, Mary appeared to three children, Lucia, Francis and Jacinta, on the 13th of the month from May through October. In rememberance of this, on Monday following the Holy Mass at 6.30 pm we will go in procession (weather permitting) to the parking lot with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, praying the rosary and singing songs. LITANY OF LORETO The month of May, when everything comes to life and flourishes, is a month especially dedicated to the Mother of God. She is the spiritual ornament of heaven and earth. To honor her, after each Mass we will recite the Litany of Loreto. TUESDAY May 14th - OLC Women’s Guild member meeting at 5:30 PM - BINGO

WEDNESDAY - 6:30 PM (Polish) - Mass and Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. John Paul II. Prayer requests printed clearly in English or Polish may be placed in the box at the main entrance to the church. BOOSTER MONTHLY MEETING - Thursday May 23rd St. Mary’s Boosters will have a Mass at 6:00PM for all deceased Boosters, followed by the end of year meeting and social. Please note the change of date and time.

MOTHER’S DAY ROSE DRIVE The OLC Pro-Life Ministry will be conducting the annual

Mother's Day Rose Drive after each of the Masses this weekend. The donations received from this event will help Problem Pregnancy, a crisis pregnancy center in Worcester, support women who are contemplating abortion to choose life for their child. In the last two months (since the 40 Days for Life Spring Campaign) this all-volunteer organization was able to help eight abortion minded women choose life for their unborn children. Through the support of generous financial donors, they were able to pay one woman’s auto insurance and another’s first and last month’s rent. Some women are not in need of financial assistance but need the personal support and encouragement that the volunteer staff provides such as helping to break the news of an unplanned pregnancy to the mother’s family. Problem Pregnancy could not exist without your prayerful and financial support. This annual Mother’s Day Rose Drive provides much needed support, so please be generous. We are requesting a $2.00 minimum donation for each fresh, red rose but will gladly accept your generous donations. Thank you for supporting the gift of life! "In this month dedicated to Our Lady, the greatest expression of the "feminine genius ", let us turn to Mary and ask her to intercede for all women. May we cherish our vocation as guardians of life and nurturers of peace. May we step out as unapologetic prophets of a more human culture where each person is seen as the child of God they were created to be and those who are weakest receive the greatest share of our love. SUNDAY EVENING MASS SUSPENTION

Beginning with Memorial Day Weekend, May 26, we will suspend the Sunday Evening Mass at 5:00 PM until further notice. During the summer our priests will be taking some vacation time and visiting their families in Poland. We understand that this may be a hardship for some, but we hope you will be able to attend the Saturday vigil or one of the Sunday morning Masses instead. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

JOHN PAUL II FOUNDATION

Saturday, May 18, 2019 is the 99th anniversary of St. John Paul II’s birthday. To commemorate this important date in the life of Polonia, a Solemn Mass in Polish will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at St. Joseph Basilica, Webster, MA by his Eminence Cardinal Ryłko of Rome, Chairman of the John Paul II Foundation. Following the Mass, lunch will be served for those traveling from outside the area. After the 4:00 p.m. Stearns Vespers, a banquet will be held at the new parish center for all members and friends of the JP II Foundation of New England, including representatives of various Chapters from the United States and Canada. This event is being sponsored by the JP II Foundation of New England. 4 NIEDZIELA WIELKANOCNA

“Uczniowie zostali napełnieni radością i Duchem Świętym” (Dz 13,52) Uczniowie usłyszawszy wezwanie Jezusa głosili Ewangelię z wielką mocą i przekonaniem. My także możemy doświadczyć podobnego entuzjazmu, jeśli zrobimy miejsce w naszych sercach dla Ducha Świętego. Kiedy używamy swoich darów w taki sposób, w jaki Bóg zamierzył, to On napełnia nas nadprzyrodzoną radością, którą inni mogą zauważyć i zostać pociągnięci.

NABOŻEŃSTWA MAJOWE Maj jest jednym z tych miesięcy, w którym chcemy oddawać cześć Maryi. Dlatego po każdej wieczornej Eucharystii będziemy się modlić Litanią Loretańską, w niedzielę uczynimy to po Mszy św. o godz. 11:00. NABOŻEŃSTWO FATIMSKIE Jak wiemy Maryja w 1917 roku ukazywała się trójce dzieci w portugalskiej Fatimie: Łucji, Hiacyncie i Franciszkowi od maja do październka każdego 13 dnia miesiąca. Prosiła szczególnie o pokutę i modlitwę różańcową. W nawiązaniu do tego w poniedziałek po wieczornej Mszy Świętej przejdziemy w procesji na parking przykościelny śpiewając pieśni i modląc się na różańcu. W tym dniu przypada także 38 rocznica zamachu na Jana Pawła II i jego cudownego ocalenia, które papież jak sam odczytał, zawdzięczał Fatimskiej Pani.

PIERWSZA SPOWIEDŹ I KOMUNIA ŚWIĘTA W tym tygodniu dzieci z klasy drugiej przystąpią po raz pierwszy do sakramentu pokuty i pojednania (we czwartek 16 maja, godz. 6:00 wieczorem) oraz będą w pełni uczestniczyć w Eucharystii w niedzielę 19 maja o 1:30 po południu. Dzieci przygotowywały się do tej ważnej chwili pod kierunkiem swojej katechetki Marianny Hiester, której pomagała Oliwia Szydlik. Pamiętajmy w modlitwie o dzieciach, by wsparte przykładem swoich rodziców, chrzestnych, rodzin i środowisk, w których wzrastają, wiernie kontynuowały sakramentalne spotkania z Jezusem w kolejnych latach. Bowiem pierwsza spowiedź i Komunia to początek a nie osobny sakrament. Dziękujemy także za modlitwę w ramach modlitwy za konkretne dziecko i jego rodzinę jaką niektórzy podjęli kilkanaście tygodni wcześniej.

MATKI W MODLITWIE

Co środę w bocznej kaplicy po wieczornym nabożeństwie na modlitwie za swoje dzieci zarówno te dorastajęce jak i usamodzielnione spotykają się rodzice pragnący je wspierać w ten sposób oraz wymienieć się doświadczeniami między sobą.

intencji dzieci nienarodzonych przed kliniką aborcyjną.

WTOREK - OLC Women’s Guild zebranie członkiń 14-ego

maja o 17:30 - BINGO

ŚRODA - 6:30 PM - Msza Św. a po niej Nowenna do Matki Boskiej Nieustającej Pomocy i św. Jana Pawła II połączona z Nabożeństwem Majowym. Skrzynka na podziękowania i prośby umieszczona jest przy wejściu głównym. Podczas Nowenny polecamy też intencje, które są przesyłane drogą mailową lub smsową do tzw. Pogotowia Modlitewnego, które wyłoniło się we wspólnocie Metanoia a którego działalność koordynuje Pani Dorota Bączek.

DZIEŃ MATKI 12 maja w Ameryce obchodzony jest Dzień Matki. Z tej okazji uczniowie Sobotniej Szkoły Języka Polskiego przygotowali krótki program z życzeniami, który przedstawią podczas Mszy św. o godz. 11:00. Mamom życzymy radości i wytrwałości w realizacji swego zaszczytnego powołania, którem je Bóg obdarzył.

RÓŻE NA DZIEŃ MATKI Jak co roku, członkowie Ruchu Obrońców Życia zachęcają do wzięcia udziału w akcji dobroczynnej: „Róże na Dzień Matki”. Będą oni oferować róże prawdziwe (w cenie minimum $2) i sztuczne (w cenie minimum $1). Dochód jest przeznaczony na pomoc ośrodkowi „Problem Pregnancy” w Worcester. Jest to miejsce, w którym kobiety mogą uzyskać wszechstronną pomoc dla siebie i dziecka. Ośrodek ten utrzymuje się wyłącznie z pomocy ludzi woli i pracy wolontariuszy. Zachęcamy do włączenia się i okazania serca potrzebującym.

SPOTKANIE BIBLIJNE Po wieczornej Mszy Świętej o godzinie 6 jak w co drugi wtorek miesiąca jest otwarte dla wszyskich spotkanie w dolnej sali na plebanii, na którym można zaznajamiać się z Pismem świętym i tym w jaki sposób Bóg przez nie mówi do nas. Tym razem przedmiotem refleksji zostannie poddana niezwykle ważna i bogata, ale nie do końca doceniana i odkryta Księga Psalmów, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Psalmów Hallelu.

PARTNERS IN CHARITY Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy dotychczas złożyli ofiary na Partners in Charity. Otrzymaliśmy do tej pory $28,476. Bardzo prosimy wszystkich o włączenie się w miarę swoich możliwości, abyśmy mogli uzyskać na parafialny cel: $46,500. Koperty można znaleźć w ławkach albo przy wejściu do kościoła. Ofiary można też składać za pośrednictwem strony internetowej: www.partners-charity.net. Bóg zapłać za każdą ofiarę.

WIECZORNA MSZA O 5 PM W NIEDZIELĘ Pragniemy poinformować, że wraz z Memorial Day Weekend, 26 maja, zawieszamy Mszę św. w niedzielę wieczorem do odwołania. Podjęliśmy tę decyzję mając na uwadze wakacyjne wyjazdy księży i parafian oraz niezbyt liczną obecność wiernych. Mamy nadzieję, że ci, którzy zwykle w tej Mszy uczestniczyli, będą mogli uczestniczyć we Mszy św. w sobotę wieczorem lub w niedzielę rano.

FUNDACJA JANA PAWŁA II ZAPRASZA W Sobotę, 18 maja 2019 przypada 99 rocznica urodzin św. Jana Pawła II. Z tej okazji, w niedzielę 19 maja o godzinie 11:00 w Bazylice św. Józefa w Webster, będzie sprawowana uroczysta Msza św. w j. polskim, której przewodniczyć będzie Jego Eminencja ks. Kardynał Stanisław Ryłko, przewodniczący Fundacji w Rzymie. Po Mszy św. dla przybyłych gości będzie serwowany lunch. O godzinie 16:00 zapraszamy na uroczyste nieszpory łacińskie, po których odbędzie się bankiet w nowo otwartym centrum parafialnym, w którym uczestniczyć będą przedstawiciele kół Fundacji z USA i Kanady. Cały „Polski Dzień” jest organizowany przez Fundację Jana Pawła II w Nowej Anglii.
