Location The site comprises an irregular shaped area extending to 5.21

acres (or thereabouts) situated adjacent to the A5 Grendon Roundabout at its junction with Spon Lane, Grendon,

Atherstone. Situated just 1 mile north of Atherstone Town

Centre, the site is readily accessible to Nuneaton (5 miles), Tamworth (5 miles), Birmingham (15 miles) and Coventry (15

miles).

Description

The main part of the site comprises the former Sparrowdale School which was closed down circa 10 years ago. It has

extensive road frontage to Spon Lane, which has direct access

off the A5 directly off the Grendon roundabout.

At its apex is a former County Council depot and household

waste recycling centre which might be suitable for commercial use (subject to planning).

The site is generally level and existing access to the former

school is via a drive between numbers 47 and 49 on the original Spon Lane, although there is extensive frontage to

the realigned Spon Lane connecting directly to the A5 Watling Street at the Grendon roundabout. The former household

waste recycling centre has separate access from the realigned

Spon Lane.
