Preparation:Sand entire piece until smooth. Wipe clean and with the 1”Glaze Wash, apply DecoArt MultiPur-pose Sealer to the entire piece. Let dry. Sand a second time. Wipe clean. Your piece is now ready to paint!

Painting Instructions:Use appropriate color transfer paper as needed.Trace the lines for the awning on both the top and cover. Tape off the lines and with the size 20 Shader, base the green with Wasabi and then the light area with Bleached Sand. Using the 5/8˝ stencil brush, dry brush the green stripes with Bleached Sand down the center and on the small area of the front of the awning. Base the inside of the lid, inside the box and the bottom piece (where the pegs go) in Bleached Sand using the 1˝ Glaze Wash. The box part is based in Pebble using the 1˝ Glaze Wash. The pegs; thin edge & back are Pebble. Trace windows, door, door step, planters and lights.Tape off the window glass, and using the 1˝ Glaze Wash, base them with Graphite.

Left windowTrace the table and pots.Base the table in Milk Chocolate using the size 3 Round. Dry brush slightly with Fawn using the ¼˝ stencil brush. Pots are Neutral Grey using the size 3 Round. Shade the left sides with Graph-ite using the size 4 Shader, and highlight the right sides with Grey Sky. Using the 1/4˝ Deerfoot, pounce in the foliage with Light Avocado, then repeat lightly with Jade and add bits of Bleached Sand. Keeping a dirty brush, pick up some Primary Red and add some very light bits for fl owers. Individual petals are Poodleskirt Pink using the 18/0 Script Liner.

Right WindowUsing the ¼˝ Deerfoot, pounce in the foliage with Light Avocado, then repeat lightly with Jade and add bits of Bleached Sand. Using the 18/0 Script Liner, add in faint stems with Light Avocado. Blooms are Poodleskirt Pink, Winter Blue and Golden Straw using the tip of the 18/0 Script Liner.

The rod is lined with the 10/0 Script Liner and Glorious Gold. Trace in the top of the curtain hem. With Titanium White and the 18/0 Script Liner, paint in the fl ower petals. Using the size 4 Shader, highlight down the ruffl e part and shade against it with Graphite. Line the top of the curtain with Titanium White using the 10/0 Script Liner. With the 18/0 Script Liner, line in the hooks with Glori-ous Gold. Tape outside edges of both windows and add a very light wash of Bleached Sand. Trace the trim and tape inside of windows when dry, and outside of trim. Using the size 4 Shader, base trim in Bleached Sand. Shade edges where shown with Fawn. Trace lettering and paint with Titanium White using the 10/0 Script Liner. Add a few lines to create the look of glass with Tita-nium White and the 18/0 Script Liner. Tape the door and base with Napa Red using the size 20 Shader Line the center with Lamp Black using the 10/0 Script Liner. Using the size 12 Shader, shade the sides with Liquid Shadow. Door trim is painted in the same manner as the windows, using the size 6 Shader. Step is Neutral Grey using the size 6 Shader. Shade the left side with Graphite using the size 4 Shader. Highlight down the right side and along the top also with the size 4 Shader. Door handles are Grey Sky using the 10/0 Script Liner, dot bottoms using the stylus.

Flower boxesBase in Blue Mist using the size 12 Shader, switching over to the size 6 for the feet. Shade along the left side and above the feet, under the box with Liquid Shadow using the size 6 Shader.

Box fl owersUsing the 1/2˝ Deerfoot, pounce in the foliage with Light Avocado, then repeat lightly with Jade and add bits of Bleached Sand. Switch over to the 1/4˝ Deerfoot, pounce in bits of Primary Red. Using the size 2 Filbert, double load with Poodlskirt Pink and Napa Red to paint in the fl ower pet-als. Double load the size 2 Filbert with Jade and Bleached Sand and paint in the leaves.

LightsPaint the base with Neutral Grey using the size 3 Round. Shade the left sides with Graphite using the size 4 Shader and highlight the right side with Grey Sky. Globes are Buttermilk using the size 3 Round. Shade the left sides with Burnt Sienna using the size 6 Shader and highlight the right sides with Titanium White. Wires connecting the pieces are lined in with Grey Sky using the 10/0 Script Liner. Add a Titanium White highlight down each right side of the globe.

Swags on and above the doorUsing the 10/0 Script Liner, line in twigs with Milk Chocolate. Add some needles in Plantation Pine with the 10/0 Script Liner. Double load the size 2 Filbert with Light Avocado and Bleached Sand, and paint in the leaves. Berries are Napa Red with the stylus, and a tiny dot of Bleached Sand over top. Using the size 10 Shader, shade with Liquid Shadow around the left side of windows and the tops, around the left side and top of door, over the left side of the greenery in the fl ower boxes and un-der the fl ower boxes. MarseilleUsing the Café Paris stencil and the 5/8˝ stencil brush, paint in with Soft Black. If you don’t have the stencil, trace the lettering and using the size 3 Round and 10/0 Script Liner, paint in with Soft Black. Paint in twigs with Milk Chocolate using the 10/0 Script Liner, adding light lines of Fawn with the 18/0 Script Liner. Load the size 2 Filbert with Plantation Pine and Jade, and paint in the leaves. Add Napa Red berries with the stylus and a tiny dot of Bleached Sand over top. Wet entire area (over top of Marseille) with clean water and wash in Fawn. Use the size 1˝ Maxine Mop and mop up by softly patting the area. 3

Fleurs and No 1Using the French Living stencil and the 5/8˝ stencil brush, paint in with Soft Black. If you don’t have the stencil, trace the lettering and using the size 2 Shader and 10/0 Script Liner and Soft Black, paint in the letters.

Finishing:Sign and fi nish with DecoArt DuraClear Varnish - Satin.
