I know it is invidious to pick out individuals but, as I was always told by my alma mater, Loretto School, Musselburgh, that one should "praise in person and curse in general" here goes ! Without David Pike the programme would not get off the ground, so my first bout of thanks should go to him for overseeing and producing such an excellent programme each 1st. team home game. It is a redoubtable effort as each programme is original. Secondly, to the committee, who have kept the ship of WRUFC on an even keel throughout the season and if I mention 4 or 5 it is because I come in contact with them more often than others and see the huge amount of work that they do for the club. Messrs. Scanlon, Fisher, Kersch, McKechnie, Hill, Williams and, not forgetting the Junior Chairman, Nick Evans, have all served the Club superbly and will, I am sure, continue on serving, hopefully for the next few years. The club and the membership is in good hands with them at the helm and they should be very proud of what they have achieved this season. My thanks to you all. If I missed anyone out , Mea Culpa and put it down to Anno Domini ! On the playing side ,we are all very proud of our excellent young players from all the teams (yes Ravens' youngsters too !) and especially our coaches, Giles Hegarty and Steve Swindells for all the excellent rugby they have produced throughout the season. All the teams are worth watching and this is due not least to them for the manner in which they encourage the teams to play their games. This is down to their vision of how rugby should be played and also to the excellent captains Messrs. Clifford, Medwell, Hamilton and Duggan for carrying it out. We mustn't forget also the superb efforts of Keith Booth and his team behind the bar. Keith puts in a huge effort for the Club - he and they have been magnificent all season and I am sure will be looking forward to a more restful period over the summer months. It is thanks to Keith, Fran and the team that WRUFC has become one of the most desirable venues for social events in the area. Keith will no doubt be cheered by the fact that his beloved Manchester United are in pole position in the Premiership and on course of being crowned Champions !! Finally can I mention all the referees who have been to Pownall Park this season - without them no game of rugby would be possible, so we should remember to thank them for their considerable efforts and remind all of the maxim...............The Referee Is Always Right ! Today we have pleasure in welcoming the Committee, Supporters and Players of New Brighton to the Memorial Ground. Over the years we have had some fantastic games against New Brighton and the names that spring to mind from my era are many. Cooper, Hart and Lander in the front row, Bullivant, Tompkins, Townsend, the Maxwell Brothers and the wonderfully gifted Bernard Wright who played at fullback for New Brighton for many years. They were a force to be reckoned with then and will be today, as they have much to play for, being in the relegation zone and one suspects they will be hungry for victory . For ourselves it would be nice if we could finish the last first team game at home on a winning note by playing some of the outstanding rugby of which we know we are capable. We know we can do it, witness Burnage a few weeks ago and I suspect it is all down to desire and concentration. It will be up to Mike Clifford and Rob Cowley ,our more experienced players, to get the young guns into the right frame of mind .

Wilmslow RUFC is an open community

based club, offering a game to anyone

coming through the gates from the age of six upwards - with no

upper age limit.

Nevertheless, subscriptions and bar receipts are just not

sufficient to maintain the wonderful sports field we have here.

We, therefore,

acknowledge and thank all those individuals and

organisations, who have supported the club, the teams and

the players this season either by

sponsorship, advertising or

donation. Without them we just would

not be here.

Last week, Geoff Knight reflected on Alan Hill and Dave Scanlon. This week he concludes his satirical review on club members upon whom his gaze had settled.

Cave ab homine unius libri (Part 2) Beware of anyone who has just one book. And now to Kevin Nolan. I'm not convinced that he's ever been human. He plays on the wing for the Ravens and when he runs with ball in hand the casual onlooker is reminded of a spaghetti maker! Arms and legs all over the place like Kerry Katona on ice. Now don't get me wrong Kev’s a nice bloke and he has great big friendly jazz hands that could swat an Airbus but he surely is a made up character in an Alex Garland novel. I wouldn't say that he could be a closet serial killer but I may think it privately! Recommended read for Kevin - 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ by Douglas Adams – because he reminds me of Arthur Dent – I keep expecting him to turn up at the club in his jim-jams and dressing gown! The first team coach and enigma Giles Heagerty (my daughter has book with a witch in it called Heggarty but I digress!). He reminds me of Antonio Banderas in that Mexican film where he plays a hit man who strums a guitar all nice and fancy before he shoots people with Glock 7 in the face. I thought I was fairly cold blooded and calculating myself but he gives me the 'willys' like the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!! I watch him sometimes from the other side of the pitch talking in harsh tones to his 1st team baby boomers. I can’t hear the speech but sometimes make up fantasy voiceovers for him and mumble them to myself whilst watching. "Lollipops children, all free today or I will kill you all you Gringo bastards!" He circles them like a great White shark ready to devour any weak morsel. The funny thing is that when everyone grew moustaches for the 'prostrate' charity I was convinced he COULD in fact play Spanish guitar and I nearly asked about it then remembered that I had made it up in my head - he looked like one of the 118-118 men only angrier. If only he would relax and play Spanish guitar once in a while like Antonio, we would all be a lot happier - I know I would. (Especially if no shooting was involved during the encore). My recommended book for Giles would be – ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ by Hunter S Thompson or ‘Last Exit to Brooklyn’ by Hubert Selby - it was banned for a period of time as was Giles! That leads me nicely on to Mr Andy Duggan. Now there is so much I could say, he likes to be called 'Che' but I like to think of him more as ‘Wolfie’ from Citizen Smith. Andy's plans for World domination began when he was a small boy growing up in Rochdale. He was a junior member of the Royal Whippet Fanciers and Ferret club and was the founder member of the first joint UK Pigeon and Whippet union - The Whippet And Twitchers Society or T.W.A.T. for short. Yes, even when young our Andy was fighting against injustice and supporting the oppressed. To us he will always be the vocal Captain of the Ravens but deep down he will never forget his roots as a Rochdale T.W.A.T. The recommended read for Andy is either ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ by J.D Salinger which deals with alienation or maybe ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’ by Ernest Hemmingway which is about a man who keeps sending Emails! (ahem) People like him don't really exist do they - in fact I think every single person at the club is a figment of my imagination sometimes. I need to stop reading Descartes and start watching Eastenders - now that's reality, isn't it? "NURSE! where’s my medication??"

.

Saturday 2nd. April North 1 West Wilmslow 17 – 39 Altrincham Kersal For any neutral at The Memorial Ground on a pleasant spring afternoon last Saturday, this would have been a thoroughly entertaining game. But there wouldn’t have been many of those amongst the two hundred or so spectators. Kersal showed exactly why the league title will be theirs with a clinical performance against a spirited Wilmslow team, which threw everything it had in its armoury at them. Ultimately, it wasn’t enough and the bigger and more robust Kersal pack eventually wore the Wolves down, taking control in the final quarter to win comfortably. For sixty minutes though, it had been an exhilarating contest and with the score at 22-17 to the visitors at that point and the Wolves with their tails up, an upset had looked possible. The Kersal side remained calm though, their fly half Rob Holloway put in some telling long range kicks deep into Wolves territory and when the Wolves tried to counter attack from their own line, they soon offended and full back Sean Rogers kicked the goal to place them once again two scores ahead. The Wolves now had to chase the game but desperate passes went adrift and they just coughed up the ball too often in contact situations. Two late tries from centre Steve Davidson and substitute Simon Edwards then settled the matter. Throughout, it had been a mark of Kersal’s organisation and discipline, that they kept their shape in defence, hardly missed a tackle and allowed the Wolves speedy danger men, Elliot Brierley, Chris Lillie and Matthew King little or no space in which to operate. In possession, Kersal kept it simple. There always seemed to be a man on the shoulder of the ball carrier and unlike their frenetic opponents, they had the patience to wait for the openings to come. The Wolves started the game like a late March gale, harrying their opponents and for fully twenty minutes keeping them penned back in their own half. Elliot Brierley was tackled just a foot short of scoring and other good attacking positions came to nothing in the face of the resolute Kersal defence. If you don’t score when you have the upper hand, you tend to pay for it later on and so it proved. On the half hour, the Kersal forwards drove forwards in a scrum close to the Wolves line and as everyone had to stay firmly bound to prevent the pushover, scrum half, Peter Nichols, nipped through a gap to open the scoring. A Bob MacCallum penalty followed to get the Wolves on the scoreboard but a killer blow was delivered on the cusp of half time by Kersal winger John P Singleton. An unlikely looking pass was thrown to him in his own half and as he was about to be enveloped by MacCallum, who had anticipated the move, Singleton managed to break free and finding the way ahead clear simply turned on the gas for Kersal’s second try. It looked bad for the Wolves, when Sean Rogers added a penalty early in the second half and this was followed by a try from No. 8 Dean Harris after Holloway had initially set up the position with a telling kick ahead into space and the Wolves had tried to play their way out of defence instead of kicking for territory. ‘We had consciously decided beforehand that we had to play a fast high risk kind of a game if we were to upset them, said coach Giles Heagerty afterwards. If we had got it right, then the rewards would have come but we didn’t and were punished by an efficient and competent but not particularly expansive side.’ Eventually a flowing back move heralded something of a Wolves revival as skipper Mike Clifford dived over in the corner. Moments later, it was the same Clifford, who carrying ruck ball forwards caught the Kersal defence unaware before putting MacCallum in under the posts. For a few fleeting moments, Wilmslow supporters dared to hope but Kersal captain John Geddis, who was outstanding all afternoon, and player coach Dylan O’Grady rallied their men with a few hard words and for all their huffing and puffing, the Wolves never got another look in.

It has been, for everyone, a very long season. Once again the weather has taken a heavy toll on all clubs and we are still to be playing on Easter weekend. Perhaps the RFU should provide all with undersoil heating, or maybe just a 3g pitch!

I do believe that this could be the way forward for rugby in the northern hemisphere. Saracens will be playing on a 3g next season, with Newcastle in the planning process right now. Traditionalists out there will balk at the ideal of the attritional battle up front being removed but ultimately rugby at the top end is about entertainment leading to bums on seats. As is shown in the Super 15s, hard tracks lead to high scoring games and their average crowds are well over 20000 a game. Many of you will know that my philosophy is to try and play attacking rugby; in recent weeks I have gone as far as to ban kicking because we are so dangerous when we play at pace. Has this been our undoing at 1st XV level this season? Perhaps. Certainly the top 5 sides in the league seem only interested in using 10 men to play the game. They do it well as their league position demonstrates but does it leave the supporters and more importantly the players satisfied at the end of a game? I doubt it. Christian Lillie, whom I believe to be the best winger in the league, gets frustrated at getting the ball only a dozen times a game. I would be interested to know how the wingers at other clubs above us feel! The reality though is that razor sharp backs cannot score points without the ball. For the most part, we have just been a little light weight upfront. Losing Alex Donaldson for 4 months and Dan Wright for 3 months was tough and Ryan Parkinson's departure to Macclesfield also took some of our sting. We have relied on young men, some even still boys to go against some fairly robust competition and for the most part we have delivered above and beyond the call. Alex Taylor, Adam Hewitt, Lewis McKay, Tom Hall, Danny Kennedy and Sam Pacey are all under 20 and have bright futures in the game. We have also had our fair share of International call ups this year. The sublime Matt King has played for Cyprus, Danny Kennedy will play for Scotland 18s this next week and I have my fingers crossed that Elliot Brierley will be called into the England Counties Under 20s squad after his performance for the North on Wednesday night last. Not bad going really. Further more, as a club we have consistently turned out four teams each week (despite the efforts of certain individuals), the Ravens have cemented themselves in their first year in league rugby, we have our Development Squad pushing for promotion once again and a highly competitive Vikings side. This all done in the face of an economic down turn, playing effectively semi-professional sides and at some stages not having a single fit prop in the club! Have we achieved all we should have this season? Off the field we have superb new facilities with more on the way and are looking good. On the field? At first glance the answer would most likely be no. But, look deeper and I think we have done a bloody good job. If nothing else, this season has opened some eyes as to what it will take to achieve our ultimate aim and become a National League side. I said this time last year that this would be painful and now it is time to front up. We've played some outstanding rugby at times. I've been immensely proud of the boys and the way they have conducted themselves this season. I'd love to say that there will be some down time once the season finishes but there is recruitment to finalise amongst other things. Believe me when I say that the squad will be bigger and better next season. I began by talking about the entertainment factor in rugby. I've no intention of changing the way we play. True, every time we take to the field I age a decade, but we do entertain....

Our first home game against New Brighton was in November 1958, a 19-3 win for Wilmslow. I

note from the programme that the referee that day was a certain H.M.(Bif) Smith, later to be President of the Referees’ Society and Wilmslow

but I am sure he would have been his usual impartial self.

Until that day, we had only lost five games; to Old Birkonian (long since defunct), Vale of Lune, Manchester University, Wolverhampton and Rochdale. Only Vale are still on our fixture list, but I notice that Rochdale, promoted only two seasons ago, will be back with us next season, having won one game out of twenty three this season in National 3 North. In 1971, a 14-6 win to Wilmslow (and the last fixture for several years) the two teams provided over two thirds of the Cheshire team – this when the County Championship was still a major stepping stone to International rugby for the players – and one International in Stuart Maxwell. The New Brighton team featured second row David Pope, who had played for us until moving to the Wirral, and wing-forward, Frank Walmsley, a friend of mine now living in Wilmslow. The editor has asked for my best and worst memories of the season so far. Best must be the home win, 23-9, against Burnage, who had beaten us 42-18 on their own ground and a sterling performance away against Altrincham/Kersal, a 32-33 loss. Our fine win against Sale in a pre-season Cheshire Vase match, 73-0, was put into perspective by their run of

losses during the season. They are now third from the bottom in the league below us, but seem to have found some late form and will probably survive. Being docked 20 points for fielding an under-age player didn’t help their cause. Worst memory is probably the away loss, 23-26, at Kirby Lonsdale where, despite having

several chances to score, failed with them all through bad passing, not-passing or knocking-on. We also had a perfectly good try by Christian Lillie disallowed for a forward pass, with the referee many yards behind the play. Generally, though, I have really enjoyed the games. We have played attractive rugby and we have visited clubs whom we have played over many years, thus meeting old opponents and friends and I look forward to more of the same next season.

PS. I have received several comments on how splendidly sartorial Barry looks in his new hat. Barry comments

that it is very trendy and he is extremely flattered by these observations but that it will only be worn on days

when there is no wind.

Wishes the Wolves

every success in 2010-11

The last chance of any of our junior teams (13s—16s) winning any

silverware this season was comprehensively shattered by Macclesfield last Sunday morning, when they thrashed Wilmslow’s

U14 side up on the Jim Evison Field, scoring eight tries without reply.

Apart from the opening five minutes, the whole of the game was conducted in the Wilmslow half of the field. Only once did Wilmslow fleetingly cross the halfway line in the second half. The well coached

Macc side were vastly superior in every aspect of their play- scrummaging, lineout, ruck and maul and in the backs, they had a

scrum half with a quick classy pass and consequently their backs ran and passed the ball sweetly. Tries were scored at regular intervals and

to add to Wilmslow’s misery, Macc possessed a goal kicker who showed he could land anything from all parts of the field.

Denied of any possession, it turned into an extended tackling session for the home side and when they did get their hands on the ball, they

were swiftly driven backwards by their opponents.

All credit to Macc. They looked a thoroughly decent rugby side.

It’s been a difficult season for this age group at Wilmslow but they should take solace from resurrecting their team and securing a series of wins from January onwards as they approached this match. They shouldn’t allow themselves to become dispirited. Many sides before

them have had to take good beatings on the way and the test of character is to learn from the experience and to work hard at

developing the same skill levels as the best sides in their age group.

Finally, congratulations to Dan Sheperd from the U14s and to the U13 contingent of Jonny Evans, Ryan Beale, Lawrence Webber, Alex

Hamilton, Matthew Currie (all Manchester Grammar School), Conor Steele (Altrincham College of Arts),William Lewin (Terra Nova) and

Bertie Nicholson (Wilmslow HS), on being invited to join the Cheshire U13/U14 Development squad, which will be holding a county training

session here at Wilmslow on 18th. April.

The aim of the programme is to follow the core curriculum in the development of potentially high performing players. Exceptionally

talented boys are also nominated to join the Cheshire RFU School of Rugby.

ON PARADE WITH THE U10s

This seasons’ Cheshire Champions at U10 will provide

today’s pre match curtain raiser together with showing off

their trophy. Let’s all celebrate their success.

The recent good run of our

supporting sides came to an abrupt

end last weekend. A weakened

Vikings side paid the price at Kendal.

A misunderstanding in strange

circumstances led to the

Developmental’s match at Crewe &

Nantwich being cancelled and

effectively put paid to any remaining

hopes that Yip Yap had of securing

promotion for the second successive

season. This was followed by the

Ravens league match against

Stockport also going the same way.

In both cases the points were

awarded against the Wilmslow sides.

The Ravens then played Stockport in

a friendly. Confused? Something to

do with having to forfeit the match

because of the Developmentals.

New Brighton Football Club

(R.U.) The last three meetings with New Brighton have all been closely fought affairs, all going the way of our visitors. Six weeks ago, New Brighton were very close to the relegation zone but they held on to beat the Wolves in what turned out to be a very close encounter at the finish. The Wolves were without a recognised fly half that day and it showed in their tactical play and general organisation. New Brighton though increasingly dictated the pace of the game and scored three second half tries. By the time,

the Wolves started to string a few bits and pieces together it was just too little too late. New Brighton’s correspondent picked out Paea Liku and Kati Topulute for their work in the pack and scoring a try each, both arising from poorly defended catch and drive situations. In the centre, Mafi Simione became increasingly influential and it was his run that set up their opening score by winger Gaz Simpson. This has been followed by wins at West Park and home wins against Broughton Park and Wigton to lift them close to safety. Their match against Wigton seemed a real dog fight between two sides desperately trying to stave off their relegation fears and it was only a Mafi try which eventually clawed them to a 22-19 win. With five successive wins, they will now no doubt feel confident of doing well again today, especially in the light of Wilmslow’s recent record, not only in the league but also against them, and if both Leigh and Wigton, who have awkward looking fixtures against Kersal and Northwich, were both to lose, today could be the day when they become mathematically safe from the drop. Certainly, New Brighton have everything to play for this afternoon. On their last visit to The Memorial Ground in September 09, they edged a thriller by a single point 17-16. The aforesaid Mafi was on the score sheet with a try after just two minutes and their full back that day, Nick Alderley, scored twice in quick succession before half time. For the Wolves, Mike Clifford had a try and there

were two penalties for Bob MacCallum. The second half produced no scores until the final minutes when the home side finally finished off a catch and drive but new Brighton defended obstinately and held out as the Wolves battered at the line for a winning try.

Wilmslow’s second largest sporting event of the year gets underway over two days next weekend. The older

sides will play their tournament from 1.00pm on the Saturday and the younger ones from 11.00am on the

Sunday. The festival was first run in 1974 and has taken place every year since. Twenty five years ago the

junior and mini section with 150 players was just half the size of what it is today.

Notable visitors include the regular huge contingent from Greystones, no doubt, intent on ensuring continued

Irish success against English competitors. ‘Bring them on boys, will be the chant, rugby, cricket, racing,

drinking, any ould game will do!’ They are expected to congregate en masse in the clubhouse on Saturday

night. So the craic should be pretty good—at least until the Guinness runs out. Hopefully, Keith will have got

his stocks right for the weekend.

From Cheltenham, there are Old Patesians and Guernsey RFC

are making an appearance for the first time with an U10 side.

In all over 70 teams will be participating. That amounts to

around 700 players. Is that slightly fewer than last year? Did

last year’s bad weather detract from the occasion and deter

some of the usual entrants, I wonder?

No matter, there will be the usual BBQs, music from Johnners,

the smoky gaucho beer and burger bar, a grand raffle and no

doubt all the other usual side attractions. If the sun shines, it’ll

be a marvellous day and if it doesn’t it’ll still be a great event.

STIGS BARBER’S SHOP IN CHAPEL LANE IS

NOW OPEN

The premises has been refurbished and we look

forward to welcoming all Keith’s former customers and

Wilmslow Rugby Club members

Todays Referee Our experience of exchange referees this season

from Durham, Portugal and Poland thus far has

been very satisfactory so we are pleased to

welcome Mr. Karuga from the Kenya Rugby

Referee’s Society to Wilmslow today. As far as

I’m aware this is the first time we have had an

official from Nairobi, Kenya in charge of a

match here but it’s not the first time that we have

had a visiting referee from Africa. Zululand

officials having been here on several occasions

in recent years.

These days, of course, you can track down

information on just about anybody or anything

on the net from where I discovered on ‘Linked

In’ that he is an insurance broker by profession

and a graduate of Leicester University, where he

earned a masters degree in marketing between

2004—07.

As a rugby referee over the last ten years, he has

officiated in Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia,

Zimbabwe and Dubai. In his playing days, he

was listed as a prop for the Kenyan club, Impala.

We hope that he enjoys his visit to The

Memorial Ground this afternoon.

Finally, just in case anyone from the MDRURS

reads this, it would be helpful if they were to

include the society an exchange referee comes

from on their appointments page. Every club at

our level in the MADREF jursidiction has

someone producing a match programme of

some kind with team lists and referee details

and we will all go to their appointments page to

find out who the referee it is to be. It’s just

b——- irritating when you see ’(EXCH)’ but

no other details provided because it’s not

everyone who will be prepared to dig around

the net to find out for themselves.

THIS LIST INCLUDES PLAYERS ONLY FROM THOSE CLUBS WHICH UPDATE THE RUGBY ROUNDUP SITE. REGRETTABLY AT LEAST FIVE

CAN’T BE BOTHERED TO DO SO. SHAME REALLY.

Cheshire and North

County Championship Fixtures are 7th. May v Yorkshire at Sheffield, 14th May v Warwickshire at Coventry and 21st. May v Lancashire at Macclesfield.

U15s Tomorrow afternoon Cheshire U15s play Yorkshire at

Bowden.

Four Wilmslow players, Rory Hill, Sam Lawton, Jake Dickinson and Tom Fairclough are in the squad. The other

players are drawn from ten clubs but interestingly six of the players selected are not listed as having any club affiliation and Rory Hill is the only one selected from Wilmslow HS.

North U20 Congratulations to Elliot Briefly, vice captain, and Lewis

McKay on being selected for the North at U20. The first squad training session was at Pontefract, where they teamed up with a further 28 players. They include Broughton Park’s Jamie Harrison, former Wilmslow colt now at Stockport, Rory

Bell, and two other Cheshire players, Sam Mullarkey and Eddie Stobbart, the last of whom, I believe, takes his name from the family firm. Backs coach is Giles Heagerty.

Their first match was against the Midlands last Wednesday at Morley and was won by 41-34. The North backs, according to coach Heagerty, were much better than the Midlanders but the forwards didn’t shine. Elliot played the whole game, Lewis McKay came on for thirty minutes and Rory Bell played

for thirty minutes before getting injured.

Another former Wilmslow colt, Hamish Watson, was capped by Scotland in February at U20 and appeared in all their six

nation matches, regrettably on the losing side every time. He is now listed as being with Leicester Tigers.

MOSTYN WILLIAMS’ PREDICTIONS Broughton Park v Kirkby Lonsdale You’d think that Broughton Park would end their poor run against lowly Kirkby Lonsdale but they’re not yet mathematically doomed for relegation yet so they’ll be motivated for this one. With only one away win all season at neighbours Wigton, I can’t see it though. Leigh v Altrincham Kersal It’s bad luck on Leigh that AK should be turning up at Round Ash Pk., needing just one win to secure their league title. After seeing AK here last weekend, I don’t see them slipping up against Leigh, who by their standards have been a poor side this season. Vale of Lune v Burnage Vale have only lost twice at home this season and I fancy them to pinch this one, especially as the large Vale pitch may not suit Burnage’s game. West Park (St. Helens) v Sandbach This will be Sandbach’s chance to leap into sixth place should Wilmslow and Wirral both lose. Hard to see anything but an away win. West Park will have to rebuild next season. Wigton v Northwich Northwich are the form side in the league and whilst they still have an outside chance of making second place, it’s hard to see them losing at Wigton with only a 50% home success rate. They have to win to still have a chance of avoiding the drop but I don’t think they will. Wilmslow v New Brighton It’s a good thing for Wilmslow that they won plenty of matches before Christmas because as their playing resources have become increasingly stretched, they have struggled. Earlier in the season, you would have confidently put this down as a home win but you wouldn’t be so sure now. The visitors meanwhile have five wins on the trot to their credit and one more would ensure their survival in this league. Nevertheless, Wilmslow should be able to get a result today thus reversing a poor performance at Leasowe a few weeks ago. Wirral v Liverpool St. Helens Wirral have shown themselves to be worthy of a place in this league and are quite capable of upsetting LSH if they’re not in the right frame of mind. If LSH are up for it, then they should be able to see of f any challenge that Wirral can mount. The top sides have clearly been better than the rest this season so an away win here.
