Apple Watchkit Release
FitWell was one of the first iOS 8 HealthKit compatible apps. It will also soon be compatiblewith Google Fit as well. Furthermore, FitWell is releasing its WatchKit extension along with theApple Watch that will start to sell to public on April 24th. The Watchkit release will enable amore personal and fulfilling coaching experience for their users. Users will be able to view theirdaily progress compared to their goals using Glances; track their activities, workouts, stepsand active calorie burned more effectively utilizing the many sensors on the watch even if theydon’t carry their phone all the time; be able to use the watch as a remote control while doingthe video workouts either on the phone or from the Apple TV and keep up with their daily goalswith actionable notifications.

FitWell received a seed investment back in July 2014 and secured a strategic alliance withTurkey’s biggest GSM operator, Turkcell. They are also about to close an angel round topower up their global expansion soon before the end of Q2 2015.
FitWell first launched in Turkish as a test market, in October 2014. It quickly became wildlypopular and became the number one health app in iOS download rankings in Turkey in just 5days and stayed there ever since. Available both in iOS AppStore and Google PlayStore,FitWell amassed more than 345,000 downloads and currently has 300,000 members. The app
is getting more than 1,000 new members every day. During this period, according to FitWell’spedometer, users have walked around the world more than 442 times; completed 152,000FitWell workouts, burned calories worth 4.4 million hamburgers and logged 4.7 million glassesof water.
Baris Ozaydinli says that they are bringing a unique perspective to mobile health and fitnessthat has never been done the same way before. All content and coaching advice are beingdeveloped by a team of elite trainers, nutritionists and coaches who are taking into accountrecent trends and developments in fitness as well as healthy nutrition.
