Rights are needed to be authorised by a legitimate company and this is the stage where your screenplay is written and the storyline is good and polished. Preproduction – At this stage, you are gathering your cast and creating your movie set to be able to shoot the movie. This is an important stage as these factors can affect your movie for the better or for the worst. So it is important that the right people are selected for roles being pursued in the movie, and the setting is perfect to suit the feel of the movie. Production – This is where the film is actually being filmed and created. A budget would have been set from the media institution that the film was granted off, and you will have to shoot the film in a desired time as the set would have been hired out and would cost a lot of money for the more days it takes to film it. Post production – These are the final elements that are needed to be added to the film to make it the best it can be. This would typically include adding soundtrack and editing the clips to the cinematographers’ wants so it creates the best effect for the movie. Stages of film production

Casting director – This job requires someone who selects the actors and crew set that is going to be involved in the movie. It is their job to try and find the best people that suit the roles within a film.

Director – This involves someone is organises the Mise en scene, sound, lighting, art and design, wardrobe and the filming process of making the film. This is a key role in making the movie be a success.

Film finance – Film finance is an element of film production that happens during the development stage before pre-production, and is concerned with determining the value of a proposed film. The value of a film is typically based on a forecast of revenues.

Camera operator – A camera operator is part of a film crew consisting of the director of photography and one or more camera assistants. These film the tape and make sure that it is tracked well and it is filmed to a high quality.

Editor – An editor organises the cutting and arranging of shots filmed at the production of the film

Production designer – Production designers are responsible for the visual concepts of a film. They make sure the Mise en scene and camera work are all to a good standard.

Marketing – This involves establishing the film on the movie market. This is gained through all different techniques such as social, posters, trailers, billboards, busses, premieres and promotions.

Exhibition – This is how the film is promoted. Mainly through the use of screening it in a cinema which is mostly what exhibition consists of. What the exhibitor sells is the whole experience of the film. Form eating popcorn to watching the movie. They are important in making sales of the film and making sure their customers have the best experience possible.
