Please join the New Mexico Conference of Churches in sponsoring Circo for Community and Justice, 5:30 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Albuquerque. This fourth annual event brings together the churches to build community and to raise money for the work of four organizations doing good in our state! We will experience Zuni Traditional Dancers, a Southwest-Lenten-Vegetarian meal, and learn about four ministries that will benefit from this event: Hozho Wellness Center —Episcopal Church in Navajoland The Wellness Center will offer Navajo women a supportive environment to counter generational trauma. It will house a teaching kitchen for healthy food preparation, art, classrooms, counseling rooms, and a cozy family room for women and their children – as they gather to share their stories. Just as women have always gathered “at the well” for the nourishment of water, our center will nourish our Navajo women into wholeness and health. Santa Fe Faith Network for Immigrant Justice SFNIJ is a grassroots collaborative of people of faith working to reduce the harm caused by our current immigration system. Founded at the request of immigrant rights groups we help organize people of faith and other volunteers to walk alongside directly-impacted people through the immigration process. Ecumenical Institute for Ministry – New Mexico The Ecumenical Institute for Ministry (EIM) offers educational opportunities that encourage people to grow in their faith and understanding of discipleship. Classes bridge differences between Christians, allowing for stimulating dialogue in a safe environment. EIM courses are led by professors who are gifted academics and who demonstrate spiritual maturity coupled with solid scholarship in their chosen fields. We will experience Zuni Traditional Dancers, a Southwest-Lenten-Vegetarian meal, and learn about four ministries that will benefit from this event:

Hozho Wellness Center—Episcopal Church in Navajoland The Wellness Center will offer Navajo women a supportive environment to counter generational trauma.

Santa Fe Faith Network for Immigrant JusticeSFNIJ is a grassroots collaborative of people of faith working to reduce the harm caused by our current immigration system.

New Mexico Conference of Churches We build relationships among denominations, partners in ministry and interfaith networks. The fruit of these relationships is collaboration in responding to the needs of the peoples and environment of New Mexico. Our current initiative is the NM Awareness Project – Doctrine of Discovery, aimed at building the church’s understanding and responsiveness to indigenous communities.

When you become a sponsor of the NMCC Circo for the Community, you will join in underwriting the event costs – enabling all funds from ticket sales and specific donations to benefit these organization.

Please consider sponsoring at one of these levels: Ringmaster $1,000 and up (includes one table of 8); Magician $500 and up (includes 4 tickets) or Acrobat $100 and up (includes 2 tickets).

Your gift will establish a foundation to assist these organizations’ balancing acts of compassion and justice within the circus of our contemporary world! Please register your intention with the enclosed Sponsor Reply Card.
