It consists of top-loading screws and hooks, transconnectors and 3.5 mm rods. Synapse is compatible with the Occipito-Cervical Fusion System which consists of occipital plates, clamps and pre-bent rods. Occipital fixation The 3.5 mm rod connects the screws in the cervical spine with the plate in the occiput to achieve a stable occipito-cervical fixation. Transition to thoracic spine Open parallel connectors or tapered rods can be used to connect the 3.5 mm rod with any 5.0 mm or 6.0 mm rod and thus extend the construct to the thoracic spine. Posterior cervical fixationSynapse is a top-loading implant system to stabilize the posteriorcervical spine. It consists of top-loading screws and hooks, transconnectors and 3.5 mm rods. Synapse is compatible withthe Occipito-Cervical Fusion System which consists of occipitalplates, clamps and pre-bent rods.

Occipital fixationThe 3.5 mm rod connects the screws in the cervical spine withthe plate in the occiput to achieve a stable occipito-cervical fixation.

Transition to thoracic spineOpen parallel connectors or tapered rods can be used to connectthe 3.5 mm rod with any 5.0 mm or 6.0 mm rod and thus extendthe construct to the thoracic spine.

Occipito-Cervical Fusion System.Implants and instruments designed tooptimize fixation to the occiput.

Synapse System. An enhanced set of instruments and implants for posteriorstabilization of the cervical and upperthoracic spine.

Polyaxial screws with up to 50° angulation in all directions– Enable advanced surgical techniques:

– Pedicle screw setting – C1/C2 fixation using Magerl Technique

– Simplify operation– Self-tapping for rapid insertion

Complete implant portfolio to accommodatepatient anatomy– Square threaded locking screw reduces

risk of cross-threading– Screws in three diameters– Shaft screws– Top-loading hooks– Transconnectors

Pre-bent rods– Pre-bent with 110° angulation– Stress-released to maintain strength

Occipital screws– 4.5 mm screws and 5.0 mm rescue screw

Best in class instruments– Non-sticking and non-toggling screwdriver

Flexible instruments – Tap and screwdriver with cardan-joint for ease of use

Versatile possibilities for occipital fixation
