As of November 30, more than $50 million has been pledged to the Cathedral Campus Campaign by 17,000 plus families. Several parishes in Blocks 1 and 2 of the Campaign are continuing their work in reaching their respective goals. In January, St. Michael the Archangel Church in Cary, St. Ann Church in Clayton, Holy Redeemer by the Sea and Holy Trinity by the Sea at the Outer Banks will be conducting combined piggyback campaigns. The December issue of the NC Catho-lics magazine contains a look at several of the 40 stained glass windows that have been purchased from a Pennsylvania church that closed this year. The windows, once restored, will be used for the new Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral. The story tells of their unique his-tory and the two artists who designed them. The excitement of the new Cathedral is being demonstrated among children in the Diocese’s parishes and schools. Many of them are eagerly taking part in learning about the purpose of a cathedral and under-taking a variety of projects related to the Ca-thedral and its design. Updates on the Cathedral Campus pro-ject, testimonials from Catholics in the Dio-cese and activities undertaken by students are available at www.holynamecathedralnc.org.
