Queremos agradecer enormemente a Aida Seaton por todo el tiempo y dedicación que puso todo este tiempo en su trabajo y en todas las áreas en las que estuvo involucrada, tanto con en Liturgia, en Archivo y Récords, en el ingreso al Sistema de las colectas semanales, en la redacción del Boletín semanal, en el diseño de la página Web de nuestra Parroquia, en Anulamientos, en los retiros de Quinceañeras, en su trabajo de oficina y especialmente en el tiempo de Pandemia en el cual se tuvieron que trasmitir las misas en vivo a través de Facebook, tanto ella como su esposo

estuvieron ayudándonos fielmente. Ahora ella tiene otros proyectos y otras metas, nos entristece su partida, pero le deseamos mucho éxito y lo mejor para Ella y su familia y que Dios siga bendiciendo a tan hermosa familia.

We want to thank Aida Seaton enormously for all the time and dedication that she put all this time into her work and in all the areas in which she was involved. Such as Liturgy, in Archives and Records, in entering the Weekly Collections System, in the writing of the weekly Bulletin, in the design of the web page of our Parish, in Annulments, in the retreats of Quinceañeras, in her office work and especially in the time of Pandemic in which the masses had to be transmitted live through Facebook, both she and her husband were helping us faithfully. Now she has other projects and other goals, her departure saddens us, but we wish her much success and the best for her and her family and may God continue to bless such a beautiful family.

Hola, mi nombre es Adolfo Valdivia, tengo 5 anos, me diagnosticaron con Leucemia (Leukemia). Es una enfermedad dolorosa al igual que el tratamiento.

A mi gusta jugar con mi hermanito, ir a la escuela y bailar. Hay días buenos en que me siento bien, otros días son malos, otros días es fuerte el dolor, pero trato de sonreír. En estos momentos difíciles para mi y mi familia les pido sus oraciones y ayuda para mi. De antemano les doy las gracias y que Dios los bendiga.

VIVIR LA LITURGIA

¿Quiénes son los pequeños? Son los muchos y variados rostros de personas que ven esperanza en el mensaje de Jesús sobre el Reino de Dios. Han llegado a creer que hay un mundo diferente: un lugar donde todos tienen un hogar, todos tienen la misma oportunidad de compartir los abundantes dones y bendiciones de Dios, donde reina la justicia, la verdad preside y la paz llena los corazones. Los pequeños son aquellos que pueden haber dejado atrás sus puntos de vista anteriores, tal vez incluso sus vidas anteriores para seguir a Jesús y creer en las Bienaventuranzas como la visión del mundo de Dios. Son los pobres, los marginados, las mujeres y los hombres del pozo, los Zaqueos que buscan a Jesús desde un árbol, los ciegos que quieren ver y los cojos que quieren caminar. Son los leprosos a los que se les ha dicho que son inmundos, y los que han aprendido que el sufrimiento y la muerte no son nada que temer. Estos son todos los pequeños. Jesús los reúne y los protege como un pastor cuida a sus ovejas. Cualquiera que haga pecar a uno de estos pequeños merece la mayor ira. Preocúpate más por lo que hace la gente que por su procedencia. @LPi

MEDITACIÓN EVANGÉLICO Alentando el Entendimiento mas profundo de la Escritura 26

o Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario

Hoy encontramos en la Liturgia detalles específicos de la paciencia y pedagogía de Dios con su pueblo. La realidad que pasaba el pueblo en la vida del desierto, es algo muy parecido a la existencia humana de la sociedad de hoy. ¿Quién profetiza? ¿Quién tiene la autoridad para hablar del Señor? ¡Celo apostólico, o envidia! Josué pide a Moisés que Eldad y Medad no fueran catequistas, o evangelizadores por decirlo así. Pero el Espíritu de Dios estaba en ellos --- como lo está ahora en todo bautizado. La respuesta de Moisés fue la siguiente: “Ojalá que todo el pueblo de Yavé fuera profeta, que Yavé les diera a todos su espíritu” (Números 11:29). En una de sus tantas catequesis, el Papa Francisco lo explica así: “De buena fe, con celo, se quisiera proteger la autenticidad de una cierta experiencia, tutelando al fundador o al líder de falsos imitadores. Pero al mismo tiempo está como el temor de la competencia, que alguno pueda robar nuevos seguidores, y entonces no se logra apreciar el bien que los otros hacen; no va bien porque no es de los nuestros, se dice (9/30/2018). Por el otro lado, la respuesta de Jesús a Juan es similar a la de Josué y del Papa: “No se lo prohíban, ya que nadie puede hacer un milagro en mi nombre y luego hablar mal de mí. El que no está contra nosotros está con nosotros” (Marcos 9:39-40). Actuar, hacer todo en nombre de Jesús, implica solo una cosa: fidelidad a su mensaje de amor, paz y justicia. Todo lo que se ha hecho, en este tiempo de pandemia, por amor a los demás es ser generosos al estilo de Jesús. ©LPi

READINGS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 19, 2020

Have you ever experienced awe? Awe is commonly defined as a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder. A moment of awe has the ability to lift us up out of ourselves and immerse us into something that causes us to wonder about ourselves, the meaning of life, and truth. Awe is an experience of connection that links us to something that is beyond the normal happenings of life.

LIVE THE LITURGY - INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK

For us who believe that the resurrected Christ is present in all of life and the totality of the universe, being touched by awe can lead us to exclaim, “My Lord and my God!” Pondering the vast-ness of God’s presence also brings us to a profound sense of God’s mercy, which is the showering of His unconditional love on each of His daughters and sons. When we internalize this mys-tery, we may find ourselves standing in awe once again and feel-ing an intense sense of peace.

First Reading: They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. GOSPEL MEDITATION Encourage Deeper Understanding of Scripture A person was going through a very dark time, questioning the meaning of life, not feeling very purposeful or worthwhile, and feeling disconnected and unappreciated. Suddenly, they gazed up at the night sky, found themselves in awe of all the stars and constellations, and exclaimed, “I am here on purpose and I am loved!” Having been brought by God to this moment of intense connection and awareness, his life changed from that moment on. If we are always preoccupied with the challenges, obligations, and stuff of daily life, we can easily miss the wonderful opportunities when the resurrected Christ is knocking at our door. If we open ourselves to the fullness of experience, we will find ourselves listening and embracing all that is around us, being caught up in the magnificence of creation’s grandeur and knowing in our heart and soul that God is and I am. While that sounds like a simple, tell-me-something-I don’t-know kind of revelation, it is life changing when it takes root in the depth of a person’s soul. Stumbling upon this awesome truth and internalizing it doesn’t require an assent of the mind. It beckons for a claim on our soul. We find ourselves knowing something profound that cannot be explained or reasoned, but purely is. When we are caught up in an experience and encounter the truth, it doesn’t matter how all of the pieces got put together. Truth is simply truth. The “my Lord and my God” responses we utter are not evoked because all of the pieces of faith and life make reasonable sense. The “my Lord and my God” affirmations come when we are lifted up out of our preoccupations and silliness and are in the presence of mystery and mercy. God is mystery, one who is beyond our grasp but at the same time within our reach, knowable yet unknowable. And when in the presence of mystery, there comes an intense experience of mercy. We know deep within the essence of ourselves — and in the very life of creation — this beating, unconditionally accepting, life-sustaining, profound, mysterious yet familiar presence of love. We have found our peace. “Peace be with you.” Breathe in and breathe out. Peace.

Requisitos para Bautizos:

1. Acta de Nacimiento 2. Comprobante de Matrimonio Religioso de los Padrinos 3. Niños mayores de 7 años, tienen que ir a la formación del CCD 4. Pláticas de bautismo o comprobante 5. No niños en las pláticas. 6. Llegar puntual. Si alguien llega tarde al sacramento, se recorre para la siguiente semana. 7. Tenemos que tener todos los requisitos mínimo 2 semanas antes de la fecha que aparto. Sin documentos no podemos registrar. Requisitos para Primera Comunión:

1. Tener su comprobante de Bautizo 2. Debe tener al menos 6 años cumplido o estar en el grado 1 de la escuela.

Requisitos para Confirmación:

1. Tener su comprobante de Bautizo y Primera Comunión. 2. Deben tener al menos 14 anos o estar en grado 9 de la escuela

Requisitos para Quinceañeras:

1. Tener los Sacramentos de Bautizo, Primera Comunión y estar inscrita en el programa de Confirmación. 2. Separar la fecha al menos 6 meses de anticipación.

Proceso y requisitos para tramite de Bodas:

Documentos con fecha reciente, no mas de un año

1. Acta de Bautismo. 2. Acta de Confirmación. 3. Los que ya están casados por lo civil traer copia del acta de la boda. 4. Los que no están casados por lo civil ir a la corte 20 días antes de la boda y pedir una licencia de matrimonio y traerla a la oficina. 5. Pedir cita con el Sacerdote, mínimo 6 meses antes de separar la fecha. 6. Reunión con el Sacerdote donde se fijara el día de la Boda, se pedirán los documentos y se definirá la ceremonia que quiera la pareja. 7. Nueva cita con el Padre para traer los documentos y llenar las formas. 8. La oficina les llamara para la cita para el ensayo. 9. Una semana antes los contrayentes tienen que confesarse para que puedan recibir la comunión el día de su boda. 10. Para el día de la misa, necesitara Coro, que será responsabilidad de la pareja buscar el adecuado a sus deseos. Unción de los enfermos 1. Llamar al Sacerdote cuando la persona este en peligro de muerte.

Baptism Requirements:

1. Child’s Birth Certificate

2. Sponsors: Church Marriage Certificate

3. Children older than 7 years, have to attend to CCD

4. Parents and Sponsors have to take a baptismal class

5. No children allowed in the baptismal class

6. If someone arrives late on the baptism date, it will be scheduled for the next Saturday.

7. We have to have all the requirements at least 2 weeks before the date. Without documents we cannot register.

First Communion Requirements:

1. Have proof of Baptism 2. Must be at least 6 years old or be in grade 1 of the school.

Confirmation Requirements:

1. Have your proof of Baptism and First Communion. 2. Must be at least 14 years old or in grade 9 of school

Quinceañeras Requirements

1. Have the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and be enrolled in the Confirmation program. 2. Set the date at least 6 months in advance.

Wedding Requirements:

Recent documents, no more than one year

1. Baptism Certificate

2. Confirmation Certificate

3. Those who are already civilly married bring a copy of the wedding certificate.

4. Those who are not civilly married go to court 20 days before the wedding and ask for a marriage license and bring it to the office.

5. 6 months in advance of the wedding, request an Appointment with the Priest.

6. Meeting with the Priest where the wedding day will be fixed, the documents will be requested and the ceremony that the couple wants will be defined.

7. New appointment with the Father to bring the documents and fill out the forms.

8. The office will call you to schedule the appointment for the rehearsal.

9. A week before the contracting parties have to confess so that they can receive communion on their wedding day.

10. For the day of mass, you will need a Choir, which will be the responsibility of the couple to find the right one for their wishes.
