Most Colleagues begin in the Front Office as a Guest Agent responsible forregistering Guests, processing future room reservations, liaising with Guest Servicesand Housekeeping, and providing information about the hotel and its surrounding community to Guests. Royal Service

Royal Service Colleagues deliver attentive, empathetic and prompt responses to any Guest request. As the central communication source where all Guest calls areanswered, Royal Service Colleagues ensure that Guest requests (such as additionalpillows or in-room audio-visual equipment) are met.

Fairmont Gold is an exclusive “hotel within a hotel” dedicated to a high quality of 

personalized service designed to meet the needs and expectations of businessexecutives and leisure travelers.

Fairmont Gold Concierges will have significant previous Front Desk and/orConcierge experience and the ability to manage all aspects of the operations of ahotel within a hotel. Guest Services

 Valet Parking Attendants  Valet Parking Attendants park Guest and visitor automobiles. Their personalattention and the security of the valet parking service they represent is considered aluxury and a convenience to our Guests.

Door AttendantsDoor Attendants create memorable first and last impressions of their hotel by 

 warmly welcoming its Guests and by bidding a fond farewell upon departure. They open hotel doors and assist Guests upon arrival, escort Guests to the hotelregistration area, control vehicle traffic flow (ensuring safety at the hotel entrance),and hail taxis upon request. Fairmont’s Door Attendants are renowned forremembering our Guests’ names, and are well informed about their hotels andcommunities.

Bell Staff Bell Staff have the unique opportunity to make our Guests feel welcome from the  very moment they arrive – by introducing hotel facilities, services, safety features,Guestrooms, and in-room amenities. In addition to delivering and retrieving luggagefrom Guestrooms, Bell Staff distribute mail, packages, messages and special

amenities.

ConciergesConcierges have the reputation of being very resourceful… after all, it’s not what youknow but who you know! Responsibilities of the Fairmont Concierge include making dinner reservations, securing tickets, arranging for transportation and providing information to our Guests. Concierges must know their cities extremely well and

Housekeeping

Colleagues typically enter the Housekeeping department as a Room Attendantresponsible for maintaining quality cleaning efforts, anticipating the needs of our

Guests, and communicating with other Colleagues and departments to enhance theGuest experience. The role of Room Attendant physically demanding and requiresthat candidates possess strong organizational skills and a passion for equating quality  with cleanliness.

Engineering & Maintenance

Engineering & Maintenance Colleagues are responsible for the upkeep of their hotel

building’s exterior and its interior finishes. Additional responsibilities include themaintenance of all boilers, chillers, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchenequipment, as well as the operation of the building’s fire, life and safety systems. Thedepartment also interacts with the corporate department of Design & Constructionduring major renovation and expansion projects.

Distribution

Falling under the Distribution umbrella are the Global Reservation Centre andRevenue Management divisions.

Our Distribution team provides direction and support to our hotels on pricing, yieldmanagement and channel strategy as well as supporting and educating our hotels ontopics such as intelligence tools and forecasting.

CORPORATE OPPORTUNITIES – CORPORATE SERVICES

 The Corporate Services Team at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts provides direction, counsel andprofessional advice to our internal and external customers in support of the Company’smany diverse business initiatives.

Business Development & Strategy

 The Business Development & Strategy department creates and implements growthinitiatives that support Fairmont’s continued globalization. These initiatives includenew ventures (such as Willow Stream The Spas at Fairmont), as well as

complementary business lines (such as Retail and Golf). The team is also responsiblefor developing the company’s long-term corporate strategy.

Corporate Accounting

Colleagues in Corporate Accounting produce timely and accurate financial reports,provide accounting services to Corporate Office (including payroll, expense reports,supplier statements, invoices, and chargebacks to properties), and consolidatebusiness plans.

Corporate Accounting positions may include Accounts Payable or AccountsReceivable Clerk; preferred candidates will have accounting work experience.

More senior level positions (including Director of Corporate Accounting or Directorof Group Accounting) are typically held by Colleagues with their CA, CMA or CGAdesignation and considerable accounting work experience, often in a public company environment.

Investor Relations

Investor Relations is a combination of Finance, Accounting, and Communications.

Investor Relations Colleagues act as a liaison between senior management and theinvestment community.

Investor Relations Colleagues either focus on analyzing models, researching competitive performance, producing annual reports - or - building relationships withshareholders and analysts.

Law 

  The Law department provides in-house legal services which include the review,negotiation and drafting of contracts; advising on corporate and commercial issues

and employee matters; and the management of external counsel services, litigation,and intellectual property. In addition, the department is also responsible for variouscorporate governance, compliance matters and shareholder services.

Real Estate and Development

 Asset Management  The Asset Management Team is responsible for managing Fairmont’s ownershipinterest in hotel real estate to maximize the level of return on investment.

 Acquisitions & Development The Acquisitions & Development Team actively pursues opportunities for hotel andmanagement contract acquisitions. Colleagues in this team play a key role in the duediligence and closure of all new deals and, once to the deals are signed, support new hotel integration into the Fairmont family.

Individuals generally enter Acquisitions & Development in a Research or Administrative role. Preferred candidates will possess post-secondary education andhave excellent organizational, project management, and computer application skills.Experience in the hospitality industry or as a hotel transitional team member is adefinite asset.

 Treasury & Finance

  The Treasury & Finance department is responsible for managing and controlling cash flows to facilitate Fairmont’s near- and long-term financial transactions andinvestments. This includes arranging and monitoring project and corporate leveldebt, developing financial structures, and liaising with operational and corporateColleagues as well as external bankers, lenders and advisors.

CORPORATE OPPORTUNITIES – OPERATIONAL SUPPORTSERVICES

  The Operational Support Services network at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is primarily inplace to support the related departments in our hotels. The team provides direction, counseland professional advice in support of Fairmont’s business operations.

Operations Accounting

 The Operations Accounting department’s responsibilities include financial recording,controlling and safeguarding Company assets, management analysis and cashmanagement, tax planning and compliance, and both capitol and operationalbudgeting.

Design & Construction

 The Design & Construction department provides technical and project managementservices for the maintenance, capital improvement and expansion of existing facilitiesand for the development of new properties.

Interior Design is an integral part of the Design & Construction group whose primary responsibility is to ensure and maintain the integrity of our brand’s interior designstandards. Interior Design Colleagues successfully see projects through from conceptto completion by providing direction to and coordinating with interior designers,

architects, hotel operators and purchasing agents.

Food & Beverage

 The Corporate Food & Beverage department’s vision is to be the foremost employerof creative, knowledgeable Food & Beverage people who are passionate about theirbusiness.

Colleagues in this department provide support to Fairmont properties to maximizetheir revenue and profits while enhancing the Guest experience. Corporate Food &Beverage Colleagues are also involved in creating standards, forming policies,
