Festive Food & Drink 2019
With Christmas just around the corner, our development teams have been busy in the Sainsbury’s kitchen preparing some exciting treats to delight over the festive period. We’ve carefully crafted a brilliant selection of products and we’re confident that our offering will impress customers and ensure they have a truly magnificent Christmas.
Festive traditions play an important part for our customers and we know many look forward to enjoying classic Christmas flavours on their table. Our extensive range of delicious poultry and joints deliver on traditional taste, with our by Sainsbury’s Slow Cooked Seasoned Turkey Crown making for a moist and succulent centrepiece. Cooked in under one hour, it’s perfect for those who want to take the hassle out of hosting without having to compromise on fantastic flavour – this will definitely be on my shopping list this year!
Feasts with family and friends are an essential part of December for many and we’ve worked hard to make sure that we’ve got an extra special offering for every lifestyle. From our Taste the Difference No Beef Wellington to our by Sainsbury’s Pups in Blankets, we’ve transported some our most loved family favourites and made them vegan-friendly too – although we’re expecting the whole table to tuck in.
We also know that festive entertaining extends beyond the week of Christmas, with many going the extra mile to make hosting at home a special occasion to share with loved ones. Our party food collection has been inspired by flavours from around the world, from our luxurious Taste the Difference Ultimate BBQ Pork Belly Squares to our Taste the Difference Asian Festive Selection.
Finally, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without showing our loved ones just how much we care, and we’ve created a range of gorgeous gifts to choose from at great value. Our Taste the Difference Unsmoked Dry Cure Gammon with Clementine Marmalade Glaze is a singular muscle gammon, hand cured with a traditional dry cure blend, and topped with zesty marmalade and candied orange. A UK supermarket first, our by Sainsbury’s Slow Cooked Seasoned Turkey Crown is brined and slow cooked for three and a half hours, giving it its moist and succulent texture that we know can be so tricky to achieve. What’s more, we’ve taken the hassle out of the cooking this Christmas, meaning the bird can be cooked and served on the table in under an hour! Best served with all the traditional trimmings, crispy roasted potatoes, roasted parsnips, carrots, pigs in blankets, stuffing, broccoli, sprouts and red cabbage… delicious.
