stains to fore edges of pages. New endpapers to volumes three and four.
Bindings very solid. Gold fore edges a little aged. Areas of foxing and
spotting scattered internally, plus the occasional toning to page edges. Private
bookplates of Sir George Nugent to inside covers of first two volumes. $1500

original boards. The boards are a gold-embossed red leather with wear to
extremities and some light discolouration from age. Leather endpapers a little
toned around edges, with a personalised ex-libris embossed stamp to ffep
dated 1899. Toning and foxing to fore edges. Some light spotting to prelims.
Pages very clean. Binding very tight. $400
