Spring has sprung! Thanks to those that attended our
March luncheon where we heard the outstanding efforts
from Jameson Elementary on how they incorporate
engineering into all aspects of learning. Our chapter
does a nice job of getting involved with our Pinellas
County schools but we need to do more. We ask you to
consider becoming a mentor or becoming involved in
one of the many outreach programs throughout the year.
We have our Spring golf tournament coming up April 26
at the Eagles Golf Club. Fred Dargahi and I recently
“sampled” the course conditions and they were fantastic.
Get your info on foursomes and sponsorships to Fred for
this great fundraising event. Our two annual golf
tournaments are the major fundraisers for our
scholarship program, so please participate.
For those considering future involvement as a Chapter
office, please join us for one of our monthly Board of
Directors Meetings. Our next BOD is Friday, April 19,
7:30 am at the Village Inn on Gulf to Bay. First breakfast
is on me! You’ll see that being an officer is quite
“painless” and a great way to get more involved in your
chapter and enhance your networking. Hope to see you
there.
All the best,
David
