NEWS FROM THE DIRECTOR As we settle back into the swing of things for the Spring term, there’s a number of new
efforts afoot. Phil’s group recently announced a key $800,000 multiyear project, we’re
starting work with a Canadian firm, and a batch of NCTR projects are being initiated.
We’re very much looking forward to getting the Dean’s search process going forward and
Cheryl’s helped us start up some exciting new social activities. We had the opportunity to
film an extended piece for Motorweek last month that should be airing soon and CUTR was
also featured in some College and campus news stories.
Engineering Expo towards the end of the month will bring thousands of young minds to
campus and we’re still hopeful that we might be able to get some sidewalk installed via a
donation at that event.
At the end of the month, we’ll celebrate the long career of our founding Director Gary
Brosch – without whom none of this would be possible. I sure hope that you can join us to
recognize his career. Have a terrific February. — Jason
