Important decisions being made about faith formation at St. Tim’s—and we need your input Lifelong faith formation is very important here at St. Tim’s. Teaching our children the ways of the faith, and preparing them to receive their sacraments is a foundational part of our church, and so is enhancing the spiritual growth of all our parishioners no matter where they are in life and in their faith journey. We are making some important decisions regarding the future of faith formation here and we need input from as many people as possible, those utilizing our faith formation programs now, and those who don’t. To allow you to help guide our decisions we have formulated a brief survey and we are asking all who are interested to complete it by Friday, February 21. This survey can be found both on our website, and also paper copies are available on the tables by the church doors and in the parish office. The survey is anonymous—we are not collecting your name, we are not we collecting your email address. There are just eight multiple answer questions on the survey and one open ended question for your to write out additional thoughts. We are asking for just five to ten minutes of your time—to make an impact that will be felt far into the future. Here is a direct link to the survey—just type this in to the address bar of your internet browser: http://tiny.cc/sttimsffsurvey. We sincerely thank you in advance for your thoughtful participation in this survey, we value your input greatly.

Bringing God’s breath into the world You are invited to join Father Joe Whalen as he explores how the Church understands sacred scripture, its use in liturgy, prayer, and spirituality, through the teachings of Pope Francis. These adult faith formation sessions, focusing on the Bible, will be held on Saturdays, February 8 and 22 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the parish center. “The Word brings God's breath into the world, it infuses the heart with the warmth of the Lord.” Pope Francis Council of Women meeting The next Council of Women meeting, open to all women of the parish, will be held on Thursday, February 6, beginning with the rosary at 6:30 p.m. and followed by the meeting in room 224 of the parish center. The evening will include a baby shower for The Amazing Grace Home, which is a structured program for pregnant women who are motivated to plan for their future. The residential program focuses on financial stability, spiritual well-being, step-by-step future planning, and parenting plans and education. Items needed are diapers, wipes, car seat, Pack & Play, maternity clothes, formula, blankets, strollers, etc. Also at the meeting we will be playing a dice game so please also bring a wrapped white elephant gift, valued at about $5, (regifting is fine!) which we will use for prizes. Refreshments will be provided, and all women of the parish are invited. Volunteer to read to children Over 400 children call Mary’s Place home. Many of these children are behind one grade level and they are trying desperately to catch up. Mary’s Place is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to work one-on-one with these children to encourage them in their education. You will be helping with reading and with other homework. For more information please call 612.596.8418 and ask for the person in charge of the tutoring program.

Bishop DeGrood will be the celebrant with all clergy and lay faithful of the Archdiocese invited and encouraged to attend. Do you shop on Amazon?
