Family Involvement
Parents are encouraged to become
actively involved in what their
child is learning, to assist in school
activities, and to lend spiritual
guidance to their children on a
daily basis. Parent participation
contributes to and enhances
student success.
A parent is a child’s first and most
important teacher
Teaching Staff
Our teaching staff is kind, caring,
and professional. Each year the
staff receives training to ensure
best teaching practices are being
used and taught. Our small class
sizes allow teachers to focus on
and serve the individual student.
Elementary School Hours
8:00 am - 3:00 pm
TeacherEase
TeacherEase is a web-based
communication tool connecting
families with the school. It includes
an E-Gradebook for parents to
access their child’s grades online and
messaging services so the school can
contact all its members with
pertinent information or reminders.
Lunch
Students may bring lunch and a drink
from home daily or purchase lunch
from our menu. Honey From the
Rock Café provides the menu items
for the Academy lunch menu.
School Calendar
We will observe the same spring
break and some of the major
holidays set by the Richmond County
School Calendar. The Academy may
deviate from the county or observe
holidays on a day of the ministry’s
choice, depending on circumstances.
WLCA will follow Richmond County
for weather closures.
