Mason County Family & Consumer Science Newsletter
September 2017
Family & Consumer Science
From Your FCS Agent
September is here and fall is just around the corner! Hopefully you all are looking forward to cooler days and nights as much as I am.
During August, I worked Floral Hall at the Germantown Fair. We held a safe driving course through AARP. Our district held a paraprofessional day for FCS agents and their program assistants. I attended the Chamber of Commerce meeting. I had the chance to judge Cloverville entries at the Kentucky State Fair. I traveled to Bath County to teach a class on manners, etiquette, and interview skills with Mandi from Lewis County. Cooking Through The Calendar attendees got to sample Italian Shrimp Pasta. Mason County had 20 homemaker leaders attend the Area Leadership Day in Montgomery County. A group of homemakers took a trip to the Kentucky State Fair and spent the day there. To end the month, Mason County Homemakers had a leadership day for all county and club officers and chairmen. It was a busy month, but you all make it so much fun!
