ANSWERS TOQ. What are your extended care hours?A. Extended care runs from dismissal timeuntil 6:00 p.m. each school day.

Q. How do I register for extended care?A. You can register for extended care throughyour UltraCamp account. This includes daily,weekly, monthly and yearly options. If you donot have an UltraCamp account, please createone at http://bit.do/ultracamp. Please notethat your UltraCamp account, login andpassword are unique to ParishEXTEND and arenot the same as your general Parish portallogin.

Q. How do I add additional extended caredays?A. Extended Care by the Day or by the Monthis a single session to select, followed byoptions of specific days or months. When yousign up initially the session is easy to find.However, when you return later to add moredays or months, the session does not appearwith the other options. To add additional careplease edit your Extended Care enrollmentsession listed under your Current Reservationsand add the new days or months you need,then proceed to payment and completion.

Q. What is the late fee policy?A. If a child is picked up after 6:00 p.m., a $1per minute per child late fee will be charged toyour account. Repeated or excessive latearrivals will result in the implementation of anaccelerated fee structure.

Q. Do you offer payment plans?A. We offer payment plans through UltraCamp.Follow the prompts in the system to set up yourplan. New this year, we've added discounts forstudents taking multiple dance classes. Thesewill automatically apply to your cart duringcheckout.

Q. What is your refund policy?A. Payment obligation is based on commitment,not attendance. We want you to be happy andwill allow you one class change without penalty.

Q. Who do I contact with schedule changes?A. Please email [email protected],and we will make sure the change gets to theright person.

Q. How do I add an authorized pick up?A. You can add someone to your authorizedpick up list through your UltraCamp account.We will check their driver's license.

Students who are in explorations and/orextended care can be signed out at the LowerSchool library by an authorized pick upperson. Open to all skill levels. Students will beimmersed in the world of chess accompaniedby a Master teacher. Players will score theirgames, play without a chess board (lookingahead), learn chess talk, execute tacticsincluding endgame play, attack and defensestrategies. The use of chess clocks will also beintroduced. Players will study great masters aswell as the history of international chesstournaments and chess traditions.

This class provides a fun, healthy week ofexercise, games, nutrition and sports activities. Anew sport is introduced each class, teachingchildren the skills and drills associated with thatsport. Robot Garage is a multi-course curriculum inrobotics where each student tracks his/herprogress in order to develop the skills thatengineers, designers and roboticists use tosolve real world problems. Students will gain anunderstanding and hands-on experience inbasic to intermediate programming, mechanicaldesign, data driven decision making, and howmotors, circuits and sensors work. Kids willtackle an exciting project at the end of the fallwhich will challenge them to integrate andapply the skills they have learned.

PROJECT BASED LEARNINGBIRD BRAINSGrades: 1-2 Instructor: The Project Camp

In this project students will work asenvironmental engineers to explore varioustypes of birds, their habitat preferences, andhow they can potentially attract more birds tovisit gardens at home and at the ParishHillcrest campus. They will design and actuallybuild elements they deem successful forattracting birds. Project based learning is ahands-on, inquiry-based learning opportunitythat allows students to make real-worldconnections. Students will play the role of anengineer, while creating their own design tosolve a problem through trial and error,reflection and revision. Laptops and tablets willbe utilized for research and as a tool for thestudents to create final products.

This is a traditional Karate program emphasizingstrikes, kicks, joint locks and take downs. It isgeared towards effective self-defense andfitness. Kenpo Karate incorporates the 3-Steps toa Great Kid program, which is a characterdevelopment curriculum specifically designed tofit within a martial arts program. This beginner level choir teaches thefundamentals of performing music as a team.Children learn classic choral singingtechniques while preparing anthems to singas an ensemble. Grades: Primer-2 Instructor: Kidokinetics

Jump Rope includes traditional and Chinesejump rope in addition to jump rope relays,workouts and games. Jump rope is a greatway to improve stamina, build heart strengthand improve coordination, agility and balance.This camp is designed to provide kids with afun and invigorating approach to fitness. Jumprope games such as “jump the river”,“helicopter” and “water splash” keep kidsengaged and demonstrate the fun side ofphysical activity and fitness. Coaches utilizemultiple styles of jump rope depending on theactivity and will match each child to theappropriate size.

Q. What does my child need to wear to dance?A. Dance attire varies by class and by age group. Those in PreK and Kindergarten will wear aParish t-shirt with their school skort or shorts. Craig Savage is Parish’s head soccer coach and has over20 years’ experience coaching high school, club andOlympic Development soccer in Atlanta and Dallas. Manyof Coach Savage’s former players have gone on to playin college, and a few of his Olympic Development playershave advanced to the professional ranks. All of themhave improved under his tutelage. After winning statetitles and becoming the all-time winningest coach at HolyInnocents’ Episcopal in Atlanta, Coach Savage moved toDallas, where his Parish Panthers have never failed tomake the playoffs.

Juan Martinez is the founder and coaching director of theDallas Kicks Soccer Club. He has worked with dozens ofyouth soccer teams helping them achieve manychampionship titles including the Vegas Cup, State Cup,Region 3 Championship, USYSA National LeagueChampionship, the U90 Super Copa and the Surf CupChampionship. He joined Parish as an assistant coach tothe varsity girls soccer team in 2015, and in 2016, he wasnamed the NTX Girls Competitive Coach of the Year. Hestrives to provide a great training environment whereplayers can learn and be challenged.

Coach Kevin Rock is a native of Trinidad and Tobago andplayed on multiple youth national teams and select travelteams. Before Parish he served as the Middle SchoolSoccer Coach for Alapattah Middle School in Miami andthe Middle and Elementary Soccer Coach at FellowshipChristian Academy in Dallas. He is currently the MiddleSchool coach at Parish and teaches 7th grade scienceand assists with 5th – 6th grade Robotics. Since comingto Parish Coach Rock's Middle School teams haveconsistently made the playoffs and won their firstChampionship in 2016.
