The theme for Day 1 was “What‟s it made of?”. Students gave a melodious and educational performance explaining the various aspects of the assigned theme. The day began with the French musical choir, followed by entertaining and colorful skits in which toddlers shared their knowledge about different conductors and insulators of electricity like plastic, wood, human body, copper wire, and much more. They also described the the- ory of float and sink in the same skit. In another in- formative skit, they took us back in time and depicted life as it used to be when paper was yet to be invented. They enacted how people used to write messages in the pre-paper period and what medi- ums were used to send them from one place to an- other. It was exciting to see the toddlers walk the ramp on the theme “paper”. The Fashion Show was followed by an entertaining and curvaceous belly dance. Then, the next few performances were fo- cused on afforestation, the 3 R‟s - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, initi- ated by our PM, Shri Narendra Modi ji. The theme for day 2 was “Let‟s Celebrate!” As the theme makes it quite clear, this day was a celebra- tion of celebrations. After the inceptive French musi- cal choir, and the school song, toddlers performed a skit, explaining to us the meaning of celebration and why we celebrate our successes and simple events in life. Another wonderful skit explained the way to plan, organize and execute a party, the importance of a „theme‟ in a party, and how to review it later. Kids also performed on a regional dance form, Bhan- gra, while celebrating the festival of new harvest, locally known as Lohri. They also gave a brilliant performance on a religious festival, Durga Puja. Then came the celebrations for the national dance and the national festival, full of goosebumps. Before conclusion of the 2 day culmination for Grade 1, an international French carnival festival was also cele- brated on the raised platform. Parents loved the 2-day culmination, and the enlightening gallery walk. The smiles on their faces didn‟t vanish for a moment in the excitement to see their kids perform on the stage. The efforts of the facilitators and the staff were well appreciated by the Education Director Ms Geeta Varshney, and parents sitting in the audience. IPC Culmination by Grade - I

Khaitan Public School recently celebrated 2 day IPC Culmination for Grade 1. The theme for Day 1 was

“What‟s it made of?”. Students gave a melodious

and educational performance explaining the various aspects of the assigned theme. The day began with

the French musical choir, followed by entertaining and colorful skits in which toddlers shared their

knowledge about different conductors and insulators

of electricity like plastic, wood, human body, copper wire, and much more. They also described the the-

ory of float and sink in the same skit. In another in-formative skit, they took us back in time and

depicted life as it used to be when paper was yet to

be invented. They enacted how people used to write messages in the pre-paper period and what medi-

ums were used to send them from one place to an-other. It was exciting to see the toddlers walk the

ramp on the theme “paper”. The Fashion Show was

followed by an entertaining and curvaceous belly dance. Then, the next few performances were fo-

cused on afforestation, the 3 R‟s - Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, initi-

ated by our PM, Shri Narendra Modi ji.

The theme for day 2 was “Let‟s Celebrate!” As the

theme makes it quite clear, this day was a celebra-

tion of celebrations. After the inceptive French musi-cal choir, and the school song, toddlers performed a

skit, explaining to us the meaning of celebration and why we celebrate our successes and simple events in

life. Another wonderful skit explained the way to

plan, organize and execute a party, the importance of a „theme‟ in a party, and how to review it later.

Kids also performed on a regional dance form, Bhan-gra, while celebrating the festival of new harvest,

locally known as Lohri. They also gave a brilliant

performance on a religious festival, Durga Puja. Then came the celebrations for the national dance

and the national festival, full of goosebumps. Before conclusion of the 2 day culmination for Grade 1, an

Khaitan Public School ensures that young minds blossom and bloom. To exhibit the true colours of learning, students of Class II presented an enrapturing IPC culmination on the theme „Live and Let Live - Asmi”. The big idea behind this theme was “What do living things

such as animals and plants need in order to survive and grow? Do humans have the same needs? What is the difference between a liv-ing thing and something that has never been alive?” The presentation started with a dance portraying “The 5 elements of life” - Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Sky and highlighting their presence in all living beings around us. It was followed by an enactment on 7 signs of life i.e., Feeding, Moving, Growing, Reproducing, Breathing , Responding, and Removing waste. The enthusiastic students then depicted the “Life Cycle of a Butterfly” in the form of a skit. They showed the sequence of life-stages that an

organism undergoes from birth to reproduction ending with the gen-eration of the offspring. They also highlighted the fact that all species on this earth go through this cycle, but sorrowfully told us that some of these species are now endangered due to several reasons. Furthermore, Students threw light on different types of pollution and ways to save our environment through a Nukkad Natak. The exhila-rating performance won the hearts of the audience. Lastly, a Tandav Dance, to portray the revenge by our Mother Earth, was performed leading to the western dance on elements of life. The

entire performance by talents students depicted anger and destruc-tion, and a pledge was taken to act wisely, to use resources carefully, and to take care of our mother nature. All the performances were applauded by the teachers and the parents alike. The Education Director, Ms. Geeta Varshneya, Head of „New Initiatives and Global Connections‟, Ms. Namrita Rathee and Head Mistress, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur were present to encourage the young performers. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the

Junior Wing Head Girl- Samridhi followed by the National Song.

Parent Walk in It was indeed a pleasure to have parents walking in the school arena. They visited areas like ID

room, Edusports, Library, and Art room. They were accompanied by teachers who briefed

them about various details and addressed their queries. It gave parents an opportunity to see

how we at KPS, provide high quality education to our children. This walk-in activity gave them

clarity about various things.

This initiative for parent participation was taken by Ms. Namrita Rathee and has been

successfully implemented by Ms. Gagandeep Kaur and the teachers of pre-primary.

This open door policy of parent walk-in shows faith & pride that our school has in its

transparent functioning. The recent walk-ins have also cleared the doubts that arose

before the beginning of the program.

This was a successful activity & we are looking forward for more parent walk-ins, as this will

help us to strengthen the parent-school bond and will also provide everybody a plat-

form to share their thoughts with each other.

You are a role model for your child

Are you a role model for your child? Parenting can be tough, but one of the most basic ways we can

raise our children is simply by being a good role model for them.

Home is the child‟s first school and parents his first and most influential teachers.

Every time you say something, take an action or have a reaction to someone or something, your

child is observing your behavior. As infants, this is how children gain language skills and eventually

learn to talk. A child inherits not only genes from parents but also their opinions, behavior, lan-

guage, beliefs , values, and attitude .

By addressing their concerns, sharing their lives, and maintaining a constructive perspective, par-

ents can contribute to their children's personal growth and development. Children observe and

emulate their parents consciously and sub consciously which forms the base of their personality.

Ways to Become the parent -- and Role Model -- that your kids really need:

. Be your best - When it comes to your kids, role-modeling is everything. Your children pay

attention to everything you say and do, and they imitate your words and actions. Keep in

mind how easily they are influenced. Be your best.

Be loyal - Never lie in front of your child. Never misbehave with anyone. Make your children

unselfish, compassionate human beings by setting an example.

Start now- The habits that children develop at an early age tend to stick with them as they

grow older. Since bad habits are tough to break, one of the best things you can do for

your children, from day one, is to model behavior which positively shapes their character

and values, and equips them to live responsible, and productive lives.

Role model for life skills – Let your child imbibe confidence, communication skills, and posi-

tive attitude from you. Leave footprints of right upbringing; he will find his own way.

Enforce consequences when your kid does something wrong - So many parents are hesitant

to enforce consequences when a kid breaks a rule, but consistency is essential.
