The NC West Powered Shell Data Center is in a secure location in the western North Carolina market that offers regional access to Atlanta, Georgia; Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee; Asheville and Charlotte, North Carolina; and Greenville, South Carolina.

Certification status was approved as of February 8, 2013. Recent TransactionsTowards the end of 2012, multiple Best Data Sites Certified™data center properties transacted in the marketplace. In November, Bed Bath & Beyond purchased a 50,000 SF BDS Certified™ data center shell in Catawba County, North Carolina. DataChambers also purchased a certified data center in October in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina.

Climate and Low Natural Disaster RisksCherokee County, North Carolina is located in an area known for its extremely low risk of natural disasters. The area benefits greatly from an equitable climate with moderate year-round temperatures. Over the past 30 years, the county has had an average daily temperature of 65 degrees, 261 days of each year.
Access to Major Metropolitan AreasThe data center has access to a highly educated workforce from Atlanta, Georgia; Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee; Asheville, North Carolina; and Greenville, South Carolina. The extended area also includes Charlotte, North Carolina.
