WHAT CONDITIONS MAY EXOSOMES HELP?

Cells releasing EVs (Exosomes & Microvesicles)

EVs are secretions released from all cells in all bodily luids: •Saliva, blood, urine, milk, semen, sweat, tears, etc.EVs include:•Apoptotic Bodies or Blebs (ABs): Large cell fragments from cells undergoing apoptosis•Intraluminal Vesicles (ILVs): early endosomes invaginate within cell•Multivesicular Body (MVB): Derived when endosomes invaginate to ILVs•Microvesicles or Ectosomes: Larger particles 50-300 µm•Exosomes (Ex): Derived as biological vesicles originate as ILVs in MVBs. Releasedoutside as EVs when MVB fuses with plasma membrane

(bioactive chemicals released by human cells)

EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES (EVs)

•Ex are nanoparticles measuring only 30-150 nm•Ex are secreted by all cells including mesenchymal stem cells (MSC-Ex)•MSC-Ex carry Packets of Information including lipids, proteins, enzymes, micro &messenger RNA, & even DNA out of cells•MSC-Ex have multiple benefits including cell-to-cell communications, surveillance &immune functions•MSC mediate their inluence on distal tissues through paracrine secretions ofmultiple factors & messenger
