The company was founded by Serafim Ribeiro (a) in 1960. Iniatially, the activity was developed on the premises of a friend who he latter offered society to in the manufacturing of TV antennas.

In 1967 already in his own facilities at lugar da granja Maia, the company starts to manufacture outdoor antenna TV. At this point the creation of a brand is needed and thus appears SERI, resulting from the initials of his name.

With the fall of the market of traditional TV antennas began the manufacture of TV stands. The word stylu is added, given that the company acquires a design element. Metalúrgica Ribeiro had to be extinguished.

SERI STYLU is founded in 2006 by current partners Pedro Manuel Vilarinho Ribeiro and Rui Manuel Vilarinho Ribeiro. The brand SERI STYLU comes from the initials of the name Serafim Ribeiro associated with the Latin word STYLU which means a different way of doing.

Seri Stylu is a family business, Serafim Mendes de Oliveira Ribeiro (a), grandfather of the current partners, began the activity on his own as outsourcer of spinned parts in iron, brass and aluminum plate. Examples of these products are the funnels for the grinding coffee machines, parabolic reflectors for electric heaters and tops for fire extinguishers.

A Seri Stylu é uma empresa familiar, Serafim Mendes de Oliveira Ribeiro (a), avô dos actuais sócios, iniciou a actividade por conta própria como subcontratante de peças repuxadas em chapa de ferro, latão e alumínio. Exemplos destes produtos são: os funis para as máquinas de moer café, reflectores parabólicos para aquecedores eléctricos e tampos para extintores.

A empresa foi fundada por Serafim Ribeiro (a) em 1960. Inicialmente, a atividade era desenvolvida nas instalações de um amigo que mais tarde veio a propor sociedade no fabrico de antenas de tele-visão.

No ano de 1967, já em instalações próprias no lugar da granja Maia, inicia o fabrico de antenas para TV de exteriores. É neste momento que surge a neces-sidade de criação de uma marca, e assim nasce a SERI.

Com a queda das antenas TV tradicionais iniciou-se o fabrico dos suportes TV. Com este novo ramo de negocio, a marca modifica-se, adicionando-se a palavra Stylu. Face aos avanços da tecnologia que levam á obsolescência das antenas de televisão a empresa Metalúrgica Ribeiro fecha.

Em 2006 os atuais sócios, Pedro Manuel Vilarinho Ribeiro e Rui Manuel Vilarinho Ribeiro, criam a em-presa SERI STYLU. A marca SERI STYLU provém das iniciais do nome do avô dos atuais sócios, associada à palavra latina STYLU, que significa um modo dif-erente de fazer.
