Evolution of markrting Production oriented age(1930): At that time there were no marketing department. There were sales department to control sales and sales cost. It was basically sales for management or sales management. There were technical advances and innovtion with new product. But shortage was the main feature of this stage. Production or supplying was was the main guidecne for achievement of goals of marketing sales. Sales orintation age(1950): The period mostly specified between great depression and world war 2 in these the main peoblem was not product but problem is how to sell it. The firm with best sale personnel and wide distribution system were mostly successful. The sales oriented stage was characterised by hard selling by promotional activity. Marketing orientation age(1960): Marketing orientation till date the firm starting marketing, the production rather than selling product, the production of product was based on customers needs.
