I. EAA Basin Performance Overview

EAA Basin Runoff is a calculation of flows and phosphorus load leaving the EAA as a result of local EAA discharge

EAA Basin Compliance is based upon the entire EAA Basin runoff load vs. predicted runoff load • Base Period loading (WY80-WY88)

• Adjusted for rainfall

• Reduced by 25%

II. Farm Data and EAA Runoff (WY13)

The majority of discharges from farm structures do result in EAA Basin Runoff

Farm Discharge Loads that do not result in EAA Basin Runoff may be the result of: • Water may be recycled when drawn in as irrigation

• Phosphorus may be attenuated through natural processes within the EAA Canals

Farm Data will be used to determine secondary compliance if the EAA Basin does not meet (primary) compliance

Levels and trends help indicate effectiveness of BMP implementation on an individual farm

III. Farm Data Processing

Processing of Farm Data is time intensive

QA/QC of Farm Data for WY13 before the Farm Scale Model Results were published was more Successful than previous years because…..

All of the Data Providers Submitted their Data on-time this year!!!!

Conclusion

The EAA has been in compliance for 18 years and has had a 55% reduction over that period

The farm data serves as a complement to the EAA Basin level data and runoff results

Submitting data in a timely manner throughout the year will lead to less errors
