LED Lighting Overview• LEDs are solid light bulbs which are extremely energy-

efficient.• Manufacturers have expanded the application of LEDs by

"clustering" the small bulbs. LED bulbs are made using as many as 180 bulbs per cluster, and encased in diffuser lenses which spread the light in wider beams.

Energy Efficiency of LEDs • Compared to traditional lighting

sources, LED lighting is extremely efficient, using between 40% and 70% less electricity. This translates into a significant reduction in annual energy costs

• LED light bulbs use only 2-17 watts of electricity (1/3rd to 1/30th of incandescent, fluorescent tube, or CFL). LED bulbs used in fixtures save electricity, remain cool and save money on replacement costs since LED bulbs last so long.

Quality of Light• Color: LEDs can emit light of an intended color without

using any color filters as traditional lighting methods need. This is more efficient and can lower initial costs.

• The color rendering index (CRI) is a quantitative measure, on a scale from one to 100, of the ability of a light source to reproduce the colors of various objects faithfully in comparison with an ideal or natural light source.

• Our LED’s light quality is excellent. Our bulbs have a CRI rating of at least 80—many are rated 90 and above—while typical fluorescent lights have a CRI rating in the 50s and 60s.
