Not only do they enrich someones general knowledge, but an artist also manages to create a new way of living. More precisely, artists work for feeding souls and the well-being that cannot be found in other fields. Artists are able to fructify the beauty of the world and to interpret it in numerous ways. For instance, if you have had a bad day, perhaps an aria from Beethoven will give you enough strenght and patience to start over.Consequently, it is absolutely compulsory to seize the benefits of the contribution of artists.On the other hand, there is no argue against the fact that scientists are considered to have an even greater impact on our society. Just imagine a life without todays facilites, a life without electricity or Internet. Would life be as easy as it is today? Perhaps,the right answer is NO. Scientists have been playing an important role in our lives for decades. Peolples lives have been saved, talking to someone from a different continent has become a matter of seconds and going from one country to another with your own car has become an ordinary thing. Moreover, scientists have definitely contributed to todayss evolving economy. Companies and businesses would not have been so complex, if scientists had not developed plenty of digital gadgets.These are just a few examples of how our sosciety has developed through years and how scientists work has been prooved. Therefore, the contribution of scientists continues to improve our lives in so many ways.In my country, it appears to me that the contribution of scientists is more present. We have so many talented Romanians that have developed extremely intelligent applications for gadgets, they even found unbeliavable treatments for uncurable diseases and there are so many other examples. Today,my society tends to appreciate more the scientists work even if a few centuries ago the contribution of artists was more valued.Summing up, I consider that both contributions have major roles in our societies. It is a matter of perspective if we value one more than the other. However, peoples lives would not be complete without both of them.

Essay no. 2A university plans to develop a new research center in your country. Some people want a center for business research. Other people want a center for research in agriculture (farming). Which of these two kinds of research centers do you recommend for your country?

Nowadays there is a hot topic upon the subject of devoloping research centers for a wide range of fields. Both business and agriculture research centers seem appropriate to my country. Even so, according to my countrys characteristics and needs right now, an agriculture research center would have a greater impact on its development.Firstly, one cannot deny that Romania is an extremely rich country in most of its sectors, agriculture being one of them. Having a temperate climate with four seasons and having its soil so rich in nutrients, Romania can definitely be categorized as an agriculture country. It is well-known from early times that Romania once provided grain for the entire european continent. Therefore, it is important to change our perspective upon agricultural tehniques. A wise man once said that We cannot go towards if we continue looking backwards. Thus, it is visible that the tehniques our ancestors used are not convenient for these times, anymore. Consequently, an agriculture research center would enable scientists to develop other innovations in order to make Romania again the main source of agricultural products.Secondly, there is no argue against the fact that developing such a research center would attract the development of other centers, too. Agriculture is just one part of Romanias complex functioning system and it cannot succed if other parts are missing. Thus, revitalizing the romanian agriculture implies also the development of other businesess. People will eventually start to focus their attention on what makes profit at the present moment. As a matter of fact, more and more people are likely to start new businesses if the they are ensured with the constant evolution ,in this case, of the agricultural system. People will start to invest and companies will rise at every corner.Therefore, there is no doubt that a business research center will inevitably be constructed in order to fulfill the societys needs.However, some people might claim that agriculture is losing its importance these days. Thus, there is no need to invest money in field that would sooner or later be replaced by scientific innovations. A vast majority of people states that the following generations will focus their attention only on digital developments and agriculture will end up just as a chapter in their history electronic book.Summing up, I would totally recommend the development of an agricultural research center for my country as it will inevitabily become the starting point of the expansion of many other research centers.

Integrated Task no. 1The reading passage presents the benefits and the purpose of a win-win negotiation. It says that in case of a win-win negotiation both parties are more likely to discuss and be receptive to ideas from both parts. The reading states that a win-win negotation takes in account concerns of the both parties,managing to make a convenient profit not only for one party, but for both of them. The reading cites the example of a failing negotiation if one of the parties does not provide a price suitable for the profit of the other party. In addition, the reading passage mentions the fact that a win-win negotiation creates a relationship that can provide future collaborations between the two parties.However, the lecture does not contradict what the reading claims, but it supports its idea with a reliable example. The proffesor cites the example of a game programmer who designed a computer game with a huge potential. The programmer presented its idea to a software company whose proposal for financing the game was lower than what the man had expected. Therefore, the man decided to accept the 12.000$ as advance money, but eventually gain a ratio of40% of the total income. The company was doing a 1 mil investment in the game, so it came up with an offer of 30% of the total profit. Finally, the programmer accepted the offer, thus being able to quit his previous job and support his family with the money gained. Overall, both parties managed to minimize the risks of losing a negotiation by making a convenient divison of the incoming profits.

Integrated Task no.2The reading passage discusesses about the educational system present in Europe, a system that has been adopted in the United States, too. This schooling system in structured on 3 main types of grades: primary grades, intermediate grades and secondary grades. This way, students are sent to certain academics levels taking into account their age. As a matter of fact, kids usually start the first grade at the age of six and finish school after graduating twelve grades, thus being eligible to access higher education. However, there are cases in which students must retake certain school years due to poor academic results.The lecturer challenges what the reading states, providing information about several problems that often occour to this educational system. Firstly, the professor points out that there is a big difference between girls and boys in terms of social, mental or even physical maturity. Their readyiness for precise academic levels is so diverse but they are still put together in the same class judged by their age criteria. Secondly, the lecturer observes that the promotion system should be changed,too. For certain students, repeating a whole school year may lead to boredom and low self-esteem. Consequently, the result would definitely be an even higher rate of droppouts. Finally, the teacher claims that the standartized tests do more harm than good. These tests tend to evaluate the entire group and not the individual, as each student learns in a different manner. Some might need more time memorize the information, while others just have to wait for the others to catch up.Overall the lecture casts doubt on the information provided by the reading passage.

Over the centuries, the human being has developed numerous ways of entertainment such as television, theaters, museums, exhibitions, but none of these mentioned has ever surpassed movies popularity towards the evolving society. I am inclined to believ that there are several reasons for which films have gained peoples attention for so many years.Firstly, it cannot be denied the fact that movies actually provide a source of well-being to the society. People usually take advantage of a new movie in order to invite their friends to watch it together and thus they get to spend a cheerful night surrounded by people they love. As a matter of fact, it can be said that movies tend to strenghten the connection between friends as they get to know each other even better in a friendly environment. Therefore, films are a starting point for socialization, making it easier for people to start new conversations or discussions upon a certain gender of movies, for instance.Secondly, there is no argue agains the fact that movies are a reliable teacher when starting to learn a new language. French movies, spanish movies, american movies, they are all a helpful tool for begginners in a new language. Films can help you improve your pronunciation, your vocabulary or even your grammar if you pay enough attention. For instance, when I was trying to prepare for my DELF exam, I used to spend hours watching TV5Monde which eventually helped me to get an unexpected high score in my listening section. Consequently, movies are a cheap way to get to a higher level of proficency in a certain language at the cost of a few hours spent in front of your TV screen.In addition, movies are considered to be also a veritable source of enriching your knowledge about cultures, countries, customs or traditions. These days, there are plenty of directors who choose to present the cultural richness of a state through movies, thus creating a film both intersting and captivating. These little details when creating a new movie actually make a big difference in peoples perspective towards ranking films as the main source of entertaining. As a result, the society can gain a lot of considerable information about various topics just enjoying themselves with the newest release of Steven Spielberg, for example. However, some might claim that movies have become too violent and agressive and most films do not catch the publics attention, anymore. Films are said to create a false impression of the real world, making it seem even worse and threating to the society. People are often confused by many of the facts presented in movies, not knowing if they are based on real stories or not. As a consequence, a vast majority of people states that movies actually have a bad impact on the population.Summing up, I consider that movies are and will continue being peoples first choice when it comes to ways of entertainment. Not only do they expand the publics boundaries, but they also manage to make a difference in their everyday lives.

Essay no. 4 Is it better to enjoy your money when you earn it or is it better to save your money for some time in the future?

Nowadays there is a hot topic upon the subject of dealing with money in terms of personal fullfilment at the present moment or put it aside for darker times. Some people choose the live the moment without taking into account the day of tomorrow, while others postpone their life-long desires for a matter of days, months or even years. There are various opinions regarding how we should manage our money, but I am inclined to believe that this simly rests as a personal choice.Firstly, one cannot deny that through life there are often times when our financial situation does not shine at all. There are times when we have to borrow money from friends or even from our own parents in order to survive. People cross such periods in life quite regulaly if they do not know how to manage their incomes. Therefore, it is necessary to be able to seize the difference between things we actually need and things that just spoil us as human beings. For instance, in order to be in the trend ,I once bought a smartphone that turned out to be just as good as my previous mobile phone, but at a tremendously higher price. Consequently, when I needed money to pay for my DELF exam, I had to postpone my entire work of nearly 2 years.Secondly, one cannot deny that saving money enables us to spend it more wisely in the future. Putting aside a small ratio of our monthly income, gives us the chance to save enough money in matter of a few years in order to buy our dream house or the car we have always seen in magazines. Thus, we also learn to appreciate more the things we have while working for the things we want. Moreover, saving money also puts us in the positions of having a lot more choices when wanting to choose a college, a vacation abroad or a pair of Louboutin shoes, for example. As a consequence, if your financial situation does not thrives at the moment ,I think, it is better to postpone a while fulfilling your actual wishes while saving money for your life-long desires.However, there is a vast majority of people which claims that us as human beings must spoil ourselves regulary in order to live a happy life. Some people claim that buying certain goods to ourselves from time to time, enhances our motivation, moral and willingness to achieve a higher level of our lives. Not only do we feel more satisfied, but we are also becoming aware that we have to work even harder to be able to spend money without any restriction.Summing up, I consider that having a balance between spending money and saving it would count considerably in our everyday lives. It is in our nature to desire things that we do not have, buying them with money we do not own and this is what makes our situation more difficult. As a result, I am totally confident that as long as we keep an eye on both ways of managing money, the future follows its route just the way we design it to.
