The Omnia-Set discs with their swivelable spreading vanes can be set to provide a precise spread pattern. With the aid of the setting scale the spreading vanes can be set accurately and without any mistake. The gently tapering spread pattern makes it very insensitive to any side wind effect or from the different spreading characteristics of fertilisers. For late top dressing the swivel tips then simply snap up without tools.

The heavy duty agitators feed the fertiliser evenly out onto the “Omnia-Set” discs. The fertiliser is being gently and evenly delivered to the discharge openings and at the end of a hopper full ensures that the hopper tips are well emptied. For prolonged periods of one side spreading, or where a highly pressure sensitive material is to be spread, removing the lynch pin quickly stops the agitator drive.

The new AMAZONE ZA-X Perfect is the result of more than 40 years of development in twin disc spreading systems incorporating the latest ideas from both our design department and agrono-mists and needless to say, that this machine meets the latest environmental requirements. And when the cost of the fertiliser spread per year is considered and what yield increase is achieved to use such an accurate and yet great value for money fertiliser broadcaster it is an easy choice to make.

AMAZONE-spreading discsmade from stainless steel to be indestructible

Rate setting (w.o.ill. for ZA-X 902 + 1402)is via two independent setting levers placed on the back of the machine. Locating the setting levers in this position keep them clean by preventing them from becoming contami-nated by mud off the tractor wheels or ferti-liser dust from the discs and gives simple access for the operator. The levers are set against a large, easy to read scale so that the different rate settings such as reduction for border spreading can be clearly made.

• Low discc speed of 720 R.P.M to prevent fertiliser damage.

The oil immersed, indestructible gearbox is at the heart of this AMAZONE twin disc broadcaster having shearbolt overload protection and double seals. The AMAZONE gearboxes have been proven by hundred of thousands and are maintenance free.

The twin hopper design allows for a visual check of the fl ow of fertiliser to each disc. If one side empties quicker than the other it can immediately be checked whether a foreign obstacle is blocking the opening or whether the levers are evenly positioned on the thumb bolts. The twin hopper design gives a steeper hopper wall which guaran-tees – unlike single tip hoppers – constant fertiliser fl ow, even on slopes and with very little fertiliser left.

The standard hydraulic independent shutter control for both the right hand and left hand side enables the fl exible operation of the spreader. One side shut off means half side spreading, e. g. with non-square fi elds or half side border spreading using the border spread defl ector. For tractors with only one hydraulic valve a two way control unit is available as an option.

An incredibly strong frame construction thanks to years of experience. The result is a spreader that is robust, strong yet light and compact with the ideal dimensions.

Ingenious agitation

For normal fertiliser the agitator ensures an even fl ow of fertiliser to the discs but when spreading pressure sensitive mate-rials the large, hard faced agitator fi nger can be removed via the ‘R’ clip and the reduced agitation still ensures an even and reliable fl ow. Also when half side spreading with pressure sensitive fertiliser the entire agitator head can be externally disengaged without tools on the stainless steel lynch pin, a system which has been proven to be effective in practice.

The standard Tele-Quick vane forborder spreading is removed from its storage pocket and replaces for the normal long spreading vane without using tools. What could be simpler and quicker?

Border spread defl ector (special option) for accurate spreading directly on the bor-der where additionally one discharge open-ing has to be closed. For normal spreading the border spread defl ector is just folded up by hand. This useful AMAZONE option is also made from stainless steel.

Precise, ecologically sensitive border spreading

The proven rolling device (option) eases the process of attaching to the tractor and manoeuvring in the yard. The device is quickly removed.

You can make attachment even easier by choosing the “Tele-Space” pto shaft (option).

The foldable sieve against foreign parti-cles (option) is particularly recommended where fertiliser is stored and loaded in bulk, e. g. with a front loader. This ensures that stones and clods of earth are sorted out.

The ZA-X Perfect 902 can simply be increased by 800 litres using the L 800 extension. This wide hopper allows the easy fi lling via front and telescopic loader shovels.

A calibration device for a spread rate check (special option) is available as a very convenient and accurate determi-nation of the required spread rate. The amount of fertiliser collected over a set distance is weighed and then using the clear ladder scale the shutter position for the desired spread rate is then accu-rately determined.

The folding hopper cover (option) is simply folded up before fi lling the spreader and keeps the spreading material dry in wet weather.

A value for money traffi c light kit with warning plates can be supplied as an option.

The narrow total width of the spreader of only 1 m prevents tendril damage in vineyards.

The ideal fertiliser broadcaster when attached with the adjustable row-spreading device for orchards and hop culture.

The easy to set 2 row spreading device for orchards and hop cultivation allows the spreading of fertiliser in a strip approx. 1 m wide around the plant. This results in a considerable saving of fertiliser. Working width between 2 and 5 m.

The comprehensive setting chart contains settings for all common fertilisers and gives details of vane settings, working widths, forward speed, and rate setting. It is easy to set the spreader for the desired optimum spread rate.

Our goal is for our customers to be able to apply their fertiliser for the optimum crop benefi t without harming the environment. Therefore we do not only produce high qual-ity machinery but also make available the services of the AMAZONE Fertiliser Service Centre.This helps in diffi cult cases:· e.g. for imported, value for money,

one-off delivered fertiliser which is not mentioned yet in the setting chart, or

· if the material, e.g. urea, cannot be identifi ed.

Then the Fertiliser Service Centre provides you with setting recommendations with the aid of our PC-guided data base.

In the Test Hall all AMAZONE spreaders are tested to perfection. The various series of tests provides information for the benefi t of agriculture. Besides measurements taken for the comprehensive AMAZONE setting charts we can provide you with competent advice in the case of critical fertilisers types.

This device, available as an option is used when the fi rst tramline has been placed out at half the working width of the fertiliser broadcaster (border spreading with full working width). It is used for eco-bound-ary spreading and normal side spreading. The decisive point is:There is no stopping, no interruption of operation and no leaving the tractor cab. A strong tubular frame contains the “lamella block” entirely made from high grade stain-less steel. This tubular frame also helps prevent an uninten-tional step into the operational range of the spreading discs.

The “lamella block” can be swivelled over a large dimen-sioned area and in this way the “Limiter X” is set on the desired function (working width, kind of fertiliser, eco border spreading or normal border spreading,). You will fi nd the necessary advice in the setting chart whereas the stuck on setting chart eases the setting. When not in use, the “lamella block” is simply raised by a hydraulic ram and the device does not need an additional control unit on the tractor.

The “lamella block” changes the direction of part of the fertiliser fl ow. This way an optimum spread fan at the border is achieved. An automatic spread rate reduction when eco-border spreading is also possible.

Simply perfect in its classDirect loading from a tipping trailer or from a silo is easy thanks to the low fi lling height.

By simply adding a stable 350 litre extension it is possible to increase the capacity of the ZA-X Perfect 902 to 1250 litres and the and ZA-X Perfect 1402 to 1750 litres. The extension can be retrofi tted at any time.
