Orientation Days www.elte.hu/en/orientatione Orientation Days are organized for international students at ELTE at the begin-ning of each semester to introduce students to the university, staff, and organizations.
Mentor system (ESN ELTE) www.elte.hu/en/mentorsESN ELTE is here so that students won’t feel all alone: besides organizingsocial activities, the most direct help ESN ELTE provides is through the men-tor system. ESN ELTE mentors are enthusiastic, open-minded and helpfulHungarian ELTE students. ey help incoming international students witheveryday problems and they guide them through their international experience.

Summer and winter programs at ELTE are goodoccasions to meet students and teachers on cam-pus and get familiar with the city and Hungarianculture.
REGULARLY ORGANIZED PROGRAMS
Hungarian Summer University in the Carpathian BasinTime: First week of July2 ECTS credits
This one-week event at ELTE allows Hungarian studentsliving in the Carpathian Basin outside Hungary to furthereducate themselves in four sessions (humanities, informat-ics, law, and science). A satellite event of the summer uni-versity is the Forum for Hungarian Institutions of theHungarian diaspora in the Carpathian Basin, which is anexecutive meeting of the leaders of ELTE and partner in-stitutions in the Carpathian Basin. The forum facilitatesthe development of bilateral research and educational rela-tions in higher education and the increase of the numberof double degrees in the Higher Education Region in theCarpathian Basin.
Summer University of Hungarian Language and CultureTime: End July-August5 ECTS credits
is four-week event brings together interested individualsfrom diverse geographical, cultural, and academic back-grounds for an intensive course on Hungarian language andculture and offers various cultural activities in Budapest.
Heidelberg University – ELTE Joint Summer UniversityTime: End August-beginning September3 ECTS credits
is two-week program is offered to students from Heidel-berg University and ELTE, each year discussing a main themefrom multidisciplinary perspectives.
Faculty summer/winter programsere are further summer and winter programs (e.g., Com-puter Science, Health Technology Assessment, Mathemat-ics) organized regularly at the faculties of ELTE.
