The circle is the geometric figure par excellence: perfect, complete. It represents the union, the aggregation, with no chance of breakage. It’s the traditional emblem of something which has no beginning and no end, formed by a single line whose ends are reunited again and again, to vanish into one another. "The Circle" is an indie-pop band, born in 2012 from an idea by Federico Norcia (vocals) and Marco Marzolla (drums), two students with a deep passion for music, who met by chance among the University benches. In 2013, the entry into the group of Giuseppe Gamarra, Alessandro Strumia (guitars) and Lorenzo Bevacqua (bass), gave life to the final line-up. In 2014 the band released for Hot-Studio Records their debut album, "Life in a motion-picture soundtrack", produced in collaboration with Omid Jazi, live-keyboardist of the italian band “Verdena” during the "Wow" tour. In the first weeks of sale to the public, the album reached the second position of the iTunes’ "alternative" chart, also becoming part of the top-100 best-selling albums in Italy and attracting the attention of national newspapers like “Internazionale” and “La Repubblica", which defines the "The Circle" as "The band that challenges Coldplay". In October 2014 the band released the video of "Green Like Soul (Part I)", first single taken from "Life in a motion-picture soundtrack", winning the "artist of the week" award for Mtv New Generation. The 2014-2015 season, began with the sold-out concert at Astoria (Turin, IT) on the occasion of the album release-party, saw the "The Circle" engaged in a tour that took them to perform in many of the top Italian clubs and festivals . The November 27th, 2015 officially closed the lucky year of "Life in a motion-picture soundtrack”. During the same month the band joined the roster of "Costello's", also announcing the start of the recording of a new album, "How To Control The Clouds", out now via Prismopaco Records.

Il Cerchio è la figura geometrica per eccellenza: perfetta, compiuta. Rappresenta l’unione, l’aggregazione, senza alcuna possibilità di rottura. E’ l’emblema tradizionale di ciò che non ha un inizio né una fine, formato da una linea unica le cui estremità si ricongiungono infinite volte, per annullarsi l’una nell’altra. Ancora e ancora. I “The Circle” nascono nel 2012, da un’idea di Federico Norcia (voce) e Marco Marzolla (batteria), due studenti con una passione viscerale per la musica, che il caso ha fatto incontrare tra i banchi dell’Università di Torino. Nel 2013, l’ingresso nel gruppo di Giuseppe Gamarra, Alessandro Strumia (chitarre) e Lorenzo Bevacqua (basso), dà vita alla line-up definitiva. Nel 2014 la band pubblica per Hot-Studio Records il suo album d’esordio, “Life in a motion-picture soundtrack”, prodotto in collaborazione con Omid Jazi, tastierista live dei Verdena durante il tour di “Wow”. Nelle prime settimane di vendita al pubblico, l'album raggiunge la seconda posizione della classifica "alternative" di iTunes, entrando anche a far parte della top-100 degli album più venduti in Italia e suscitando l'attenzione di quotidiani nazionali del calibro di "Internazionale" e "La Repubblica", che definisce i “The Circle” come “I cinque torinesi che sfidano i Coldplay". Nell'ottobre 2014 esce il videoclip di "Green Like Soul (Part I)", primo singolo estratto da "Life in a Motion-Picture Soundtrack", grazie al quale la band viene selezionata da MTV New Generation come "artista Just Discovered della settimana". La stagione 2014-2015, iniziata con il sold-out all’Astoria di Torino in occasione della release-party del disco, vede i “The Circle” impegnati in un che tour li porterà ad esibirsi in molti dei principali club e festival italiani. Il 27 Novembre 2015 si chiude ufficialmente la fortunata annata di “Life in a motion-picture soundtrack” e la band entra a far parte del roster di “Costello’s”, annunciando l’inizio delle registrazioni del un nuovo album, "How To Control The Clouds", prodotto, mixato e registrato da Simone Sproccati al Crono Sound Factory di Milano, uscito il 25 Ottobre 2016 per Prismopaco Records.
