Customization through use cases and definitions.

• The Learner must have obtained all the competencies associated with all the job profiles

within the group

Create a Job Profile Group

Administrator System

Use case begins when administrator starts

to create a new Competency Object

System presents administrator

competency objects that can be created

Administrator selects Job Profile Group System presents administrator with a

form

Administrator enters Reference Code*,

Name*, Job Profile Catalog, Activation, and

Description (* indicates required fields)

System creates new group and the use

Award a Job Profile Group Certificate

System

Use case begins when the daily task is started

For every job profile group that has been assigned a certificate, the system will check learner

records and award the certificate if the user has obtained all the competencies associated with all

the job profiles in the job profile group and has not been awarded the certificate already. Use case

ends

Creating a Job Profile Group

A Job Profile Group can be created in the Competency Editor just like a Competency Group.

Once the group has been created, job profiles can be added.

Assigning a Job Profile to a Learner Job Profiles are configured to allow reviewer assignment by default. Reviewers can navigate to a

learner’s Career Development Center and assign a Job Profile under the Job Profiles tab.

Self Assigning Job Profiles

The job profile must be configured to allow self-assignment using the check box on the edit job

profile page.

Viewing Learning Path

All Job Profiles that are assigned to a user will be viewable in their career development center. Only

assign job profiles that have associated competencies that are yet to be obtained by the learner will

be displayed in the learner’s learning path.

Auto Awarding of Job Profile Group Certificates

Certificates are currently auto awarded when the daily task is run, this can be started on demand at

Manage > System Administration Manager >System Utilities >Run Scheduled Tasks.

The daily task will now also award any job profile group certificates to learners who have obtained

all the competencies for all the necessary job profiles in each job profile group.

System Requirements

• EKP 5.6.0.95 or above

System Configuration

• To configure learning paths to hide completed job profiles, enable the check box at Manage

> System Administration Manager > System Configuration > System Configuration >

[General]

Test Cases

Create a Job Profile Group

Basic Test Case: 1. Go to Manage > Competency Manager > Competency Editor and click Create.

2. Click Create Job Profile Group.

3. Enter “Roman Jobs” as Name and click OK .

Desired Results: The “Roman Jobs” group is created and can be seen in the left panel of the Competency Editor.

Assign Cert to Job Profile Group

Basic Test Case: 1. Go to Competency Manager > Certification Editor and click Create Certification.

2. Create “Roman Jobs Cert” Certification.

3. Open Roman Jobs group and click Edit.

4. Select “Roman Jobs Cert” and click OK.

Desired Results: Certificate should now be assigned to the job profile group.

Add a Job Profile to a Job Profile Group

Basic Test Case: 1. Create Job Profile “Job Profile I”, set to Active .

2. Open Job Profile Group “Roman Jobs”.

3. Click Add Job Profile to Group.

4. Click Add Job Profiles …

5. Select Job Profile I and click OK.

Desired Results: Job Profile I should be successfully added to the group.

Assign a Job Profile to Learner

Basic Test Case: 1. Create User X .

2. Go to Review >Organization Review and select User X for participant review.

3. Go to Career Development > Job Profiles for participant and click Assign Job Profile.

4. Select Job Profile I.

Desired Results: Job Profile I should be successfully assigned to User X and viewable in their Job Profiles tab.

Assign a Job Profile to Self

Basic Test Case: 1. Create Job Profile “Job Profile II”, set to Active, enable the Self-Assignment check box.

2. Log in as User X.

3. Go to Career Development > Job Profiles and click Assign Job Profile.

4. Select Job Profile II

Desired Results: Job Profile II should be successfully assigned to User X and viewable in their Job Profiles tab.

View Learning Path

Basic Test Case: 1. Create Competency “Competency for Job Profile I”, set to Active.

2. Open Job Profile I for editing and assign “Competency for Job Profile I” to profile.

3. Assign Competency for Job Profile I to User X.

4. Log in as User X and go to Learning Path.

Desired Results: Job Profile I should not be displayed in the learning path.

Award a Job Profile Group Certificate

Basic Test Case: 1. Run daily task.

Desired Results: User X should now have the Roman Jobs Cert, viewable in Career Development » Certifications.
