Welcome Back Weekend! St. Margaret Mary Parish is celebrating our in-person return to church with a Welcome Back Weekend on September 25th & 26th. The celebration will be held at all Masses next weekend. Welcome Back cookies will be available after each Mass. Bring your families, bring your friends, bring your neighbors; all are welcome as we celebrate coming back together to worship with our parish community.
Knight of the Month - SEPTEMBER LLOYD DELVEAUX
Council 5514 would like to honor Lloyd Delveaux as the Knight of the Month for September 2021. Lloyd is a 4th degree Knight, joining in 1975, and recruited by Marv Spielbauer. Lloyd and his wife Judy have been married for 55 years and are members of St. Margaret Mary. He and Judy have two adult children: Michelle and Lloyd Jr. and 6 grandchildren.
At St. Margaret Mary, Lloyd served as an usher for many years and has participated in the funeral committee, team leader of the food stand at the St. Margaret Mary Parish Picnic, and lead chef at the porkie pancake breakfast. As a Knight, Lloyd has worked Packer games, brat fry’s, and double portions. As a 40+ year fourth degree night, he has been involved in the honor guard flight activities, Knights funerals, parades, steak nights, Knights of Columbus family picnics, and participated in the first degree installation team.
Family of the Month - SEPTEMBER JUSTIN & KARI KRUEGER
Justin and Kari Krueger have been selected as family of the month. They have been members at St. Margaret Mary for
7 years. Justin is the Director of Liturgy & Worship at St. Marga-ret Mary, and Kari is a principal in the Appleton Area School District. They have 2 children; Elliot and Elaina.
As one would expect, Justin’s work as the Director of Liturgy and Worship and his own family’s contribution to St. Margaret Mary parish go hand in hand. Justin also serves on the Diocesan Liturgical Commission, and teaches independent piano lessons from his home studio.
Kari shows the face of Christ to the children she comes in contact with every day as a principal in the Appleton Area School District. She is a friend to everyone she meets, and is loving mother to her two young children.

Stewardship Service Adopt-A-Highway Litter Pickup
It is time for St. Margaret Mary to participate in the fall pickup for the Winnebago County Adopt-A-Highway program. Our highway is the 1-mile stretch of County G, from Wood-
enshoe Road west to Hwy 76. We will pick up the litter at 10:00am on Saturday, Sept 25th. It is a rewarding activity, which takes approximately one hour, and it helps the parish, the community, and the environment.

Our Lord entrusted us with the fruits of all creation, that we might care for the earth and be nourished with its bounty. Let's pray together in gratitude for the harvest of food from the earth and those in our parish who distribute it.

Mark Your Calendar for Upcoming Pro-Life Opportunities
Tues., Sept. 21 - 5:45 p.m. Kickoff Mass for 40 Days for Life at St. Gabriel Parish, Neenah. Fr. Mark Mleziva, vocation
director for the Diocese and chaplain for St. Mary Catholic High School, will be the presider. After Mass, a speaker will discuss her experience biking from Green Bay to St. Louis this summer for Biking for Babies. A second speaker will share her story that involved abortion and how she found forgiveness and peace. Refreshments will be served. 40 Days for Life (Sept. 22-Oct. 31) is a peaceful, prayerful event that involves holding a sign and praying outside of Planned Parenthood on Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton.
Sept. 25-26 - After Masses, please stop by the SMM Parish Respect Life Committee information table in the gathering space. Consider how you might support 40 Days for Life by signing up to pray at the Appleton event or at home. You can also sign up for the event here: https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/appleton
Sat., Oct. 2 - March for Life in Madison, WI, 12-3 p.m. For more information or to sign up to ride a bus from Appleton for this first-time event, go to https://www.prolifewi.org/upcoming-events/2021/10/2/march-for-life-wisconsin. Bus ride cost: $20.
Sun., Oct. 3 - Life Chain will be held in Appleton from 1 to 3 p.m Come for a little while or the whole time. Pick up peaceful, prayerful sign at corners of W. Wisconsin Ave. and N. Alvin St. Pray and show your support for life.
Refrigerator Needed for Friendship Hall Kitchen
The large refrigerator that is used in the kitchen of Friendship Hall is no longer working. We are in great need of a replacement at this time. If you have a gently used refrigerator that was manufactured within the last 5 years and would consider donating it to St. Margaret Mary parish, please contact Juanita Harder at the parish office at 920-729-4560.
