Seaside Day Camp Counselor in TrainingThe Seaside Day Camp Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.) Program allows Seaside alumni and interested youth, ages 13 to 16 years, exclusive training and increased responsibilities, such as actively assisting with program implementation, supervision and development. Weekly fees include special C.I.T. shirts, a daily snack, and two field trips per week. Requirements include: application and references and/or letters of recommendation, applicant interview, C.I.T. training and minimum 2.5 GPA. Call the Parks and Recreation office at (760) 633-2740 for an application and further info. Application deadline is May 9. 2011; space is limited.

Seaside Day Camp - S2 (Leo Mullen Sports Park)To accommodate increased participation in the Seaside Day Camp program and to offer ½ day (AM or PM) extended services to support other specialty and sports camps, the Seaside Day Camp program will branch out at Leo Mullen Sports Park in a fully- equipped, portable facility for the summer. Program will include all the regular Seaside activities like crafts, sports, indoor/outdoor games, and fun, with the exception of field trips.

Junior Lifeguards AideIf you are interested in becoming a Junior Lifeguard Assistant for the summer of 2011, you must be between the ages of 14-17 years old and have prior experience in the Junior Lifeguard program (at least one year). To apply for a position, you will need to register and send a letter of intent (via email: [email protected]) to the Junior Lifeguard Coordinator. The letter needs to include:• Name and contact information (including an email address).• Why you are interested in being an assistant.• Background and Experience.• Minimum of one reference.• Which sessions you are available to volunteer for.• You must register on the city website (www.encinitasrecreg.com)
