SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSMufflerThe muffler is designed to give the lowestpossible noise level and to direct the en-gine’s exhaust fumes away from the opera-tor. Mufflers fitted with catalytic convertersare also designed to reduce harmful ex-haust components.

Safety equipment

The blower is equipped with a number ofsafety devices and guards for the preven-tion of accidents. These are described inthe general description of the blower.The safety devices and guards also requireregular inspection and maintenance. Thesemeasures and the interval at which theyshould be carried out are specified in theMaintenance section.

Safety while operating theblowerS Do not allow bystanders or animals to be

in the work area, i.e. 50 feet (15 meters)from the operator.

S The blower may throw objects at highvelocity that can ricochet and hit the opera-tor. This may cause serious eye damage.

S Never point the blower nozzle towardpeople or animals.

S Stop the engine before fitting or disman-tling accessories or other components.

S Never operate the blower if any of theguards are missing.

S Never operate the blower in poorly venti-lated spaces where exhaust fumes mightotherwise be inhaled.

S Stop the engine before refueling. Movethe unit at least 10 feet (3 meters) fromfueling site before attempting to start.

S The catalytic muffler is extremely hotwhile the blower is running and after ithas stopped. The same applies when theblower is running at idling speed. Beaware of the danger of fire, especiallywhile operating the blower near flam-mable materials and/or where flammablefumes are present.

Personal safetyThe following instructions apply to personsoperating the blower:S The operator shall have read and under-

stood the contents of this manual.S Do not wear loose clothing, scarves or

neckchains or let long hair hang loose,since these can be drawn into rotatingparts of the blower and cause injury.

S Do not operate the blower while underthe influence of alcohol, drugs or whenyou are tired.

S Do not allow minors to operate theblower.

S Always have a first aid kit nearby.

Fuel safety

Special safety instructions apply to the typeof fuel used for the blower. These instruc-tions are specified under the Fuel handlingsection.

WARNING: The fuel used to runthe blower has the followingdangerous characteristics:

1. Volatile liquid: its vapor andexhaust fumes are poisonous.

2. Direct contact can cause skinirritation.

3. It is extremely flammable.

WARNING: The exhaust fumesfrom the engine are hot and maycontain sparks which can start a fire.Never start the machine indoors ornear flammable material!

WARNING: Mufflers fitted withcatalytic converters become extreme-ly hot during use and after stopping.This also applies at idling speeds.Contact can result in burns to theskin. Be aware of the risk of fire!

WARNING: The blower mustnever be used if any of the safetydevices or guards are missing,damaged or not in working order.

tion is applied. Avoid any direct body con-tact with inlet cover area. Keep jewelry,loose clothing, or clothing with looselyhanging straps, ties, tassels, etc., awayfrom inlet cover area.

S Do not operate the blower while standingon a ladder or a stand.

Other safety measuresS Operate the blower only at reasonable

hours, i.e. not early in the morning or lateat night when people might be disturbed.Comply with times listed in local ordi-nances. Usual recommendations are 9:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Satur-day.

S Operate the blower at the lowest possiblethrottle setting to do the job.

S Check the condition of the blower beforeoperation, especially the muffler, air intakeand air filter.

S Use a rake or a broom to loosen grounddebris before blowing.

S Under dusty conditions, slightly spray thework area with a hose.

S Conserve water by using blowers insteadof hoses for many lawn and gardenapplications, including areas such as roofgutters, screens, patios and gardens etc.

S Watch out for children, pets, open windowsor vehicles, and blow debris safely away.

S Use the full nozzle extension so the airstream can work close to the ground.

S After using the blower, clean up anddispose of debris in trash receptacles.

DESCRIPTION

Safety equipmentThe following equipment on the blower isdesigned for protecting personnel andmaterials. These components shouldreceive special attention whenever youoperate, inspect and service the blower.

Stop switchS The stop switch (A) is used to stop the

engine.

MufflerS The muffler is designed to give the low-

est possible noise level and to direct theengine’s exhaust fumes away from theoperator. Mufflers fitted with catalyticconverters are also designed to reduceharmful exhaust components.

S The engine exhaust fumes are hot andcan contain sparks, which may causefire if they come in contact with dry orflammable material.

S Some blower models, especially thosesold in countries where the climate isdry, are equipped with a spark arrestingscreen (B). This screen must be cleanedor replaced at specific intervals. See theMaintenance section.

WARNING: The muffler is ex-tremely hot while the engine is run-ning and after it has stopped. DONOT TOUCH THE MUFFLER IF IT ISHOT! This can cause severe burns.

Throttle triggerS The speed and the output of the engine

are regulated by the throttle trigger (C).

Variable speed controlS The variable speed control (D) is de-

signed to allow setting engine speed asnecessary during blower use only.

S To avoid causing damage to the unit, DONOT attempt to use the variable speedcontrol during starting or during vacuumuse.

Fan housingS The blower fan housing (E) and the fan

impeller (F) provide high performance airdischarge.

DESCRIPTION

Ground wireS The ground wire (G) reduces static

build--up during operation in dry condi-tions.

Inlet coverS An inlet cover (H) is located on the side

of the fan housing. Opening this coverallows access for cleaning and inspect-ing the impeller (125BX--SERIES and125BVX--SERIES only). If the vacuum tubeis used, it must be fitted to the opening inthe inlet cover. To open the inlet cover,use a tool to lift the edge of the coveropposite the hinge (indicated by arrowon inlet cover).

Cutters(125BX--SERIES and 125BVX--SERIES)S Two cutters (J) are fastened to the impel-

ler. The cutters are there to mulch leavesand other debris that have been vacuumedbefore they enter the collection bag.

Blower tube and nozzleNOTE: The tube clamp bolt and nut mustbe installed prior to initial use (see the gen-eral description of the blower on page 6).S The blower tube (K) has a pegged slot

mounting system to the unit. To install orremove the blower tube (or collection bagtube for the 125BVX--SERIES), the tubeclamp bolt must be removed. Align slot inthe blower air outlet with the raised rib onthe tube and insert tube until the holes inthe tube and housing align. Re--insert thetube clamp bolt and tighten.

S The nozzles (L) have a bayonet mountfor connection to the blower tube. Air ischanneled through the blower tube to thenozzles, where the air discharge velocityincreases and the air stream dischargepattern is formed to provide best perfor-mance. The length of the blower tubecan be adjusted by twisting the nozzle tothe left to disengage the bayonet mountand sliding the nozzle to the appropriateposition. Twist the nozzle to the right untila click is felt to resecure the nozzle.

Starter device and starter handleS The starter device (M) is located on the

side of the engine shrouding and en-gages the crankshaft only when thestarter handle (N) is pulled.

Fuel capS The fuel cap (O) is located at the rear of

the engine shrouding on the fuel tankand has a seal to prevent fuel from leak-ing out.

Air filterS The air filter (P) consists of a fiber filter

medium in a resilient frame. The air filtershould be cleaned at specific intervals(see Maintenance section). Otherwise,the blower will consume too much fuel,the performance will be reduced and anoily deposit may form on the spark plugelectrodes.

WARNING: Never start the blowerif the inlet cover is not closed, isdamaged or cannot be closed(except if the vacuum tube is fitted).

FUEL HANDLINGFuel mixtureCAUTION! The machine is equipped witha two--stroke engine and must always berun using a mixture of gasoline and two--stroke engine oil. It is important to accu-rately measure the amount of oil to bemixed to ensure that the correct mixture isobtained. When mixing small amounts offuel, even small inaccuracies can drastical-ly affect the ratio of the mixture.

Gasoline

CAUTION! Always use high qualityunleaded gasoline.

S This engine is certified to operate onunleaded gasoline.

S The lowest recommended octane ratingis 87. If you run the engine on lower oc-tane rating than 87, “knocking” can oc-cur. This leads to an increased enginetemperature, which can result in a seri-ous engine breakdown.

S When working at continuous high revs ahigher octane rating is recommended.

Two--stroke oilS For great results and performance use

HUSQVARNA two--stroke oil, which isspecially formulated for our two--strokeengines. Mixture 1:50 (2%).

S To maximize the life of your blower, youmay choose to use a high quality syn-thetic oil formulated for two--strokeengines. Mixture 1:50 (2%).

S Never use two--stroke oil intended forwater--cooled outboard engines,sometimes referred to as outboard oil.

S Never use oil intended for four--strokeengines.

WARNING: Always ensurethere is adequate ventilation whenhandling fuel.

S Always start by filling half the amount ofthe gasoline to be used. Then add theentire amount of oil. Mix (shake) the fuelmixture. Add the remaining amount ofgasoline.

S Mix (shake) the fuel mixture thoroughlybefore filling the machine’s fuel tank.

S Do not mix more than one month’s sup-ply of fuel at a time.

S If the machine is not used for some time,the fuel tank should be emptied andcleaned.

WARNING: The catalytic con-verter muffler gets very hot duringand after use. This also appliesduring idling. Be aware of the firehazard, especially when workingnear flammable substances and/orvapors.

Fueling

WARNING: Taking the followingprecautions, will lessen the risk offire:Do not smoke or place hot objectsnear fuel.Always shut off the engine beforerefueling.Always stop the engine and let itcool for a few minutes beforerefueling.When refueling, open the fuel capslowly so that any excess pressureis released gently.Tighten the fuel cap carefully afterrefueling.Always move the machine awayfrom the refueling area beforestarting.

MixingS Always mix the gasoline and oil in a

clean container intended for fuel.

STARTING AND STOPPING

Pull starter handle until engine attempts torun, but no more than 3 pulls. Move choketo ½ position and pull the cord until the en-gine starts and runs. Allow the engine towarm up for approximately 10 seconds;then, move the choke to the OFF CHOKE(opened) position.NOTE: If engine dies, return blue enginechoke lever to the closed position andrepeat starting steps.

Warm engineWith a warm engine, squeeze and hold thethrottle trigger. Move choke to ½ position.Pull starter rope sharply while squeezingthrottle trigger until engine runs. Move thechoke to the OFF CHOKE (opened)position.

StoppingTo stop the engine, push and release theengine STOP switch (S).

Starting and stopping

Cold enginePrimer bulb: Press the primer bulb 10times until fuel begins to fill the bulb. Theprimer bulb need not be completely filled.

Choke: Move the blue engine choke leverover to the FULL CHOKE (closed) position.

Starting: Hold the body of the machine onthe ground using your left hand(CAUTION! Not with your foot!).Firmly grip the starter rope handle withyour right hand. DO NOT squeezethrottle trigger. Slowly pull out the corduntil you feel some resistance (the starterpawls grip); then quickly and powerfullypull the cord.

CAUTION! Do not pull the starter cord allthe way out and do not let go of the starterhandle when the cord is fully extended.This can damage the machine.

WARNING: Never start the blowerif the inlet cover is not closed, isdamaged or cannot be closed(except if the vacuum tube is fitted).

WARNING: Never wrap the startercord around your hand.

S Clean the area around the fuel cap.Contamination in the tank can causeoperating problems.

S Ensure that the fuel is well mixed by shak-ing the container before filling the tank.

125BVX--SERIES can be used with a shoul-der strap for extra comfort. The strapshould be worn over the shoulder asshown.

To blow away debris on theground

Fitting the blower tube and nozzleon the blower

The blower tube (T) has a pegged slotmounting system to the unit. To install orremove the blower tube (or collection bagtube for 125BVX--SERIES), the tube clampbolt must be removed. Align slot in theblower air outlet with the raised rib on thetube and insert tube until the holes in thetube and housing align. Re--insert the tubeclamp bolt and tighten.

The nozzles (U) have a bayonet mount forconnection to the blower tube. Air is chan-neled through the blower tube to thenozzles, where the air discharge velocityincreases and the air stream discharge pat-tern is formed to provide best performance.The length of the blower tube can be ad-justed by twisting the nozzle to the left todisengage the bayonet mount and slidingthe nozzle to the appropriate position.Twist the nozzle to the right until a click isfelt to re--secure the nozzle.

BlowingBefore you begin blowing, put on the re-quired safety equipment.

WARNING: When fitting the blow-er tube and nozzle, the engine mustbe switched off.

USING THE BLOWER1. Open the collection bag. Insert the

collection bag tube from inside the bag tofit in the vacuum inlet opening of the bagas shown. Ensure elastic is seated ingroove. Close the zipper on the bag.

2. Remove the blower tube and install thecollection bag tube. Install and tightentube clamp bolt. Attach the carrying strapto the collection bag loops.

3. Align arrows on lower vacuum tube andupper vacuum tube. Push lower vacuumtube into upper vacuum tube until the lowertube is securely seated in the upper tube(about 3 inches/7 cm). Permanently as-semble the two tubes together with thesupplied screw.

4. Open the cover on the side of the blowerby using a screwdriver to pry up under theedge of the cover on the side opposite thehinge (indicated by arrow on inlet cover).

5. Press the vacuum tubes in the largeopening at the underside of the blowerand align the tabs with the slots in thetube. Turn it until the bayonet mountlocks (lock symbols align).

Start the blower as described in the Startingand Stopping section. Work according to thefollowing instructions:1. Never blow air toward fixed objects such

as walls, large rocks, automobiles andfences.

2. When working inside corners, blow fromthe corner and inward toward the center ofthe work area. Otherwise, debris can flyup in your face and cause eye injury.

3. Never point the blower nozzle at delicateplants.

Standard nozzleThe standard nozzle (V) is included withthe 125B, 125BX--SERIES and 125BVX--SE-

RIES. When greater accuracy and high airstream concentration is desired, use thestandard nozzle.

High--velocity nozzleThe high--velocity nozzle (W) is an acces-sory of the blower (included with the125BX--SERIES and 125BVX--SERIES).When a wider air stream and greater airvelocity is desired, use the high--velocitynozzle.

USING THE BLOWER

When operating the blower, the collectionbag must be supported by the shoulderstrap. The strap should be worn over theshoulder as shown.

WARNING: Always check thatthe collection bag is intact and thezipper is closed before starting theblower. Never use a damaged bag.There is risk of injury due to flyingdebris. Be careful, particularly if lefthand operation is applied. Avoid anydirect body contact with the ex-haust outlet area.

WARNING: Never start the blowerif the inlet cover is not closed, isdamaged or cannot be closed(except if the vacuum tube is fitted).

WARNING: Do not operate theblower while standing on a ladder ora stand.

Start the blower as described in the Startingand Stopping section. Work according to thefollowing instructions:1. Do not vacuum large solid objects that

can damage the fan, such as wood, cans(tins) or lengths of string or ribbon.

2. Do not let the vacuum tube strike theground.

3. The collection bag can be emptied by firststopping the unit and then opening the zip-per on the side.

MAINTENANCE

Muffler

Some mufflers are fitted with catalytic con-verters. See the Technical data section tofind out if your machine is equipped with acatalytic converter.The muffler is designed to dampen thenoise level and to direct the exhaust fumesaway from the user. The exhaust fumesare hot and can contain sparks, which canresult in fire if the exhaust fumes aredirected towards a dry and flammablematerial.Some mufflers are equipped with a specialspark arresting screen (CC). If your ma-chine is fitted with this type of screen, itshould be cleaned regularly. To access thescreen, remove the outlet cover on thefront of the muffler. Use a wire brush toclean the screen. On mufflers without acatalytic converter the screen should becleaned weekly, or replaced if necessary.On mufflers fitted with a catalytic converterthe screen should be checked and cleanedmonthly. If the screen is damaged itshould be replaced. If the screen is fre-quently blocked, this can be a sign that thefunction of the catalytic converter is im-paired. Contact your dealer to inspect themuffler. A blocked screen will cause theengine to overheat resulting in damage tothe cylinder and piston.

CarburetorYour Husqvarna product has been designedand manufactured to specifications that re-duce harmful emissions. After the enginehas used 8--10 tanks of fuel, the engine willbe run--in. To ensure that it continues to runat peak performance and to minimize harm-ful exhaust emissions after the run--in peri-od, ask your servicing dealer to adjust yourcarburetor.

Function

S The carburetor governs the engine’sspeed via the throttle control. Air and fuelare mixed in the carburetor.

S The T--screw (BB) regulates the throttlesetting at idle speed. If the T--screw isturned clockwise this gives a higher idlespeed; turning it counterclockwise gives alower idle speed.

Basic settingS The basic carburetor settings are ad-

justed during testing at the factory. Fineadjustment should be carried out by askilled technician.

Recommended idle speed:See “Technical data” section.Recommended max. speed:See “Technical data” section.

Fine adjustment of the idle speed--TAdjust the idle speed using the idle adjust-ment T--screw if it is necessary to readjust.The idle speed is correctly adjusted whenthe engine will run smoothly in every posi-tion.

CAUTION! Never use a machine that hasa faulty or loose muffler. Ensure the mufflerbolts are tight.

MAINTENANCE

Air filter

The air filter (GG) must be regularly cleanedto remove dust and dirt in order to avoid:S Carburetor malfunctionsS Starting problemsS Loss of engine powerS Unnecessary wear to engine partsS Excessive fuel consumptionS Elevated content of harmful exhaust

fumes.

Clean the filter every 25 hours, or moreregularly if conditions are exceptionallydusty.Cleaning the air filterRemove the air filter cover (HH) and take outthe filter. Wash it clean in warm, soapy water.Rinse thoroughly. Ensure that the filter is drybefore reinstalling it.An air filter that has been in use for a longtime cannot be cleaned completely. Thefilter must therefore be replaced with a newone at regular intervals.CAUTION! A damaged air filter mustalways be replaced.

Cooling system

The engine is equipped with a coolingsystem for maintaining the right operatingtemperature.The cooling system consists of the follow-ing components:1. Air intake on the starter device (DD).2. Fan blades on the flywheel (EE).3. Cooling fins on the cylinder (FF).4. Cylinder cowling (guides cooling air flow

against cylinder surfaces).Clean the cooling system by brushing oncea week, or more often, if necessary.A dirty or blocked cooling system willcause the blower to overheat and this willdamage the cylinder and piston.

WARNING: Mufflers fitted withcatalytic converters get very hotduring use and remain so for sometime after stopping. This also ap-plies at idle speed. Contact can re-sult in burns to the skin. Rememberthe risk of fire!

WARNING: The inside of themuffler contain chemicals that maybe carcinogenic. Avoid contact withthese elements in the event of adamaged muffler.

WARNING: Bear in mind that:Engine exhaust fumes contain car-bon monoxide, which can causecarbon monoxide poisoning. Forthis reason you should not start orrun the machine indoors, or any-where that is poorly ventilated.The exhaust fumes from the engineare hot and may contain sparkswhich can start a fire. Never startthe machine indoors or near flam-mable material!

Spark plug

The spark plug condition is influenced by:S Incorrect carburetor adjustment.S An incorrect fuel mixture (too much or in-

correct type of oil).S Poor quality gasoline and/or oilS A dirty air filter.These factors cause deposits on the sparkplug electrodes, which may result in operat-ing problems and starting difficulties.If the machine is low on power, difficult tostart or runs poorly at idle speed: alwayscheck the spark plug first before takingany further action. If the spark plug is dirty,clean it and check that the electrode gap is0.024″ (0.6 mm). The spark plug should bereplaced after about a month in operation orearlier if necessary.

Daily maintenanceS Clean the exterior surfaces of the blower.S Check that the variable speed control and

the throttle trigger function in a safe man-ner. Replace damaged parts.

S Check that the stop switch works proper-ly. Replace if necessary.

Check that the inlet cover can be lockedin the closed position. Carefully checkthat the fan impeller is clean, especially ifthe blower has been used for collectingdebris (vacuuming).

S Check that all nuts and screws are prop-erly tightened.

S Check that all the housings are free ofcracks. Replace damaged parts.

S 125BX--SERIES and 125BVX--SERIES:Check that the collection bag is intact andthat the zipper works. Replace it if neces-sary.

Weekly maintenanceS Check the condition of the starter device,

the starter cord and the tensioning spring.Replace damaged parts.

S Check the condition of the air intake atthe starter device. Remove debris if it isclogged.

S Clean the outside of the spark plug. Re-move it and check the electrode gap. Ad-just the gap to 0.024″ (0.6 mm), orreplace the spark plug. Use resistor sparkplug Champion RCJ--8Y or equivalent.

S Clean the fan blades on the flywheel.S Clean or replace the spark arresting

screen (not on mufflers with a catalyticconverter).

Seguridad con el combustible

Para manipular el combustible de lamáquina hay unas reglas de seguridadespeciales que se describen en el secciónManipulación del combustible.

¡ADVERTENCIA! El combus-tible utilizado en la máquina tienelas siguientes característicaspeligrosas:

1. El líquido, sus vapores y losgases de escape son tóxicos.

2. Puede producir irritacionescutáneas.

3. Es muy inflamable.

¡ADVERTENCIA! Los gases delmotor son muy calientes y puedencontener chispas, que a su vez pue-den ocasionar incendios. Por eso,nunca arranque la máquina en ambi-entes cerrados o cerca de materialinflamable.

REGLAS DE SEGURIDADS El silenciador del catalizador está muy cal-

Otras reglas de seguridadS No utilice la máquina en horas en que pue-

da molestar a otras personas: por ejemplo,a primera hora de la mañana o a últimahora de la tarde. Observe la reglamenta-ción local. El horario de uso común es de09.00--17.00, de lunes a viernes.

S No acelere más de lo necesario para reali-zar los trabajos.

DESCRIPCIONS El tubo de soplador (K) dispone de un sis-

tema de ranura de bloqueo para montarloen el aparato. Para instalar o desinstalarel tubo de soplador (o el tubo de la bolsade aspiración 125BVX--SERIES), remuevael perno de bloqueo del tubo. Alinee la ra-nura que hay en la salida de aire del so-plador con el reborde en relieve del tubo eintroduzca el tubo hasta que los orificiosde éste y el armazón queden alineados.Vuelva a colocar y apretar el perno sujeta-dor.

S La boquillas (L) dispone de un sistema deconexión en bayoneta para acoplarla en eltubo de soplador. El aire se canaliza a tra-vés del tubo de soplador hasta la boquil-las, en la que aumenta la velocidad dedescarga del aire y se estable el modelode descarga del caudal de aire para au-mentar el rendimiento. La longitud del tubode soplador se puede ajustar girando laboquilla hacia la izquierda para soltar laconexión en bayoneta y deslizando la bo-quilla hasta la posición adecuada. Paravolver a bloquear la boquilla, gírela hacia laderecha hasta que oiga un chasquido.

Dispositivo y mango de arranqueS El dispositivo de arranque (M) se encuen-

tra situado en el lado del cárter del motor ysólo se engrana en el cigüeñal cuando setira de la mango de arranque (N).

Tapa del depósito de combustibleS El tapa del depósito está situado en la

parte posterior del cárter del motor ylleva una junta que impide la fuga decombustible.

Alambre para tierraS El alambre para tierra (G) reduce

la acumulación estática durante lafuncionamiento en condiciones secas.

Tapa de entrada de aireS Hay una tapa de entrada de aire (H) en el

lateral del cubierta del ventilador. Al abriresta tapa, se puede acceder al ventiladorpara limpiarlo y inspeccionarlo(125BX--SERIES y 125BVX--SERIES sola-mente). Si se utiliza el tubo aspirador, sedeberá fijar en la abertura de la tapa de en-trada de aire. Para abrir la tapa de entradade aire, utilice una herramienta para lavantarel borde de la tapa contrario a la bisagra (seindicada mediante una flecha en la tapa deentrada de aire).

Para obtener una mezcla con lasproporciones correctas debe medirse conprecisión la cantidad de aceite a mezclar.En la mezcla de pequeñas cantidades decombustible, los errores más insignifi-cantes en la medición del aceite influyenconsiderablemente en las proporciones dela mezcla.

¡NOTA! Use siempre gasolina sin plomode alta calidad.

ADVERTENCIA: Para hacer lamezcla, compruebe que haya bue-na ventilación.

S Este motor está habilitado para fun-cionar con gasolina sin plomo.

S El octanaje mínimo recomendado es de 87octanos. Si usa gasolina de menos de 87octanos, el motor puede pistonear. Estoaumenta la temperatura del motor y puedeocasionar averías graves del mismo.

S Para trabajar durante mucho tiempo enaltas revoluciones se recomienda el usode gasolina con más octanos.

ARRANQUE Y PARADA

Motor frioBomba de combustible: Presione 10veces la burbuja de goma de la bomba decombustible hasta que comience a lle-narse de combustible. No es necesariollenarla totalmente.

Estrangulador: Coloque la palanca azuldel estrangulador de la motor a la posiciónFULL CHOKE (estrangulamiento).

Arranque: Presione el cuerpo de lamáquina contra el suelo con la mano iz-quierda (ATENCIÓN: ¡No con el pie!).Agarre la mango de arranque con la manoderecha. NO apriete el gatillo acelera-dor. Tire despacio de la cuerda con lamano derecha, hasta sentir una resisten-cia (los dientes de arranque engranan), ydespués tire rápido y con fuerza.

Tirar de la mango de arranque hasta que elmotor intente arrancar, pero no más de 3veces. Ponga el estrangulador en la posición½ y tire de la mango hasta que el motor ar-ranque y se ponga en funcionamiento.Permita que el motor se caliente duranteunos 10 segundos; entonces, ponga elestrangulador en la posición OFF CHOKE(abierto).

Motor calienteCon el motor caliente, apriete y sujete elgatillo acelerador. Ponga el estranguladoren la posición ½. Tire de la mango confuerza, mientras arpieta el gatillo acelera-dor, hasta que el motor se ponga enmarcha. Ponga el estrangulador en laposición OFF CHOKE (abierto).

Limpieza de suelos soplando

Montaje del tubo de soplador y laboquilla

El tubo de soplador (K) dispone de un siste-ma de ranura de bloqueo para montarlo en elaparato. Para instalar o desinstalar el tubo desoplador (o el tubo de la bolsa de aspiración125BVX--SERIES), remueva el perno debloqueo del tubo. Alinee la ranura que hay enla salida de aire del soplador con la moldurasaliente del tubo e introduzca el tubo hastaque los orificios de éste y el armazón quedenalineados. Vuelva a colocar y apretar el per-no sujetador.

La boquillas (U) dispone de un sistema deconexión en bayoneta para acoplarla en eltubo de soplador. El aire se canaliza a travésdel tubo de soplador hasta la boquillas, en laque aumenta la velocidad de descarga delaire y se estable el modelo de descarga delcaudal de aire para aumentar el rendimiento.La longitud del tubo de soplador se puedeajustar girando la boquilla hacia la izquierdapara soltar la conexión en bayoneta y desli-zando la boquilla hasta la posición adecuada.Para volver a bloquear la boquilla, gírela ha-cia la derecha hasta que oiga un chasquido.

MANEJO1. Abra la bolsa de colección. Introduzca el

tubo de la bolsa de colección desde el in-terior y acóplelo en el orificio de la entradade aspiración, como se indica en la figura.Asegúrese de que el elástico se asienta enla ranura. Cierre la cremallera de la bolsa.

2. Remueva el tubo de soplador e instaleel tubo de la bolsa de colección. Instale yapriete el perno de bloqueo del tubo.Fije la correa de transporte a las argollasde la bolsa de colección.

3. Alinee las flechas de los tubos de aspira-ción inferior y superior. Empuje el tubode aspiración inferior para introducirlo enel tubo de aspiración superior hasta queel tubo de aspiración inferior quede fijadode forma segura en el tubo superior(aproximadamente 7 cm). Fije los dostubos de manera permanente con el tor-nillo suministrado.

4. Para abrir la tapa de entrada de aire, utiliceuna herramienta para lavantar el borde dela tapa contrario a la bisagra (se indicadamediante una flecha en la tapa de entradade aire).

5. Encaje los tubos de aspiración en el orifi-cio grande de la parte inferior del sopla-dor y alinee las lengüetas con las ranu-ras del tubo. Gírelo hasta que las conex-iones en bayoneta queden bloqueadas(símbolos de bloqueo alineados).

Ponga en marcha la máquina (vea la sec-ción Arranque y Parada) y trabaje siguiendoestas instrucciones:1. No sople contra objetos compactos como

paredes, piedras grandes, automóviles yvallas.

2. En los rincones, sople de dentro a fuera,hacia el centro. De lo contrario podríanrebotar objetos contra su cara y causarlegraves lesiones en los ojos.

3. No dirija el aire hacia plantas delicadas.

Boquilla estándarLa boquilla estándar (V) se incluye con los125B, 125BX--SERIES y 125BVX--SERIES.Cuando se requiera una mayor precisión yuna alta concentración de corriente deaire, utilice la boquilla estándar.

MANEJO

Cuando utilice el soplador, la correa tendráque sujetar la bolsa de colección. La correase debe colocar sobre el hombro, como semuestra en la figura.

¡ADVERTENCIA! Antes de poneren marcha la máquina, compruebeque la bolsa de colección esté intactay que la cremallera esté cerrada. MANTENIMIENTO

Silenciador

Algunos silenciadores tienen catalizador. Veala sección Datos técnicos si su aparato tienecatalizador.El silenciador está diseñado para reducir elnivel de sonido y para que los gases resid-uales del motor no lleguen al operario. Losgases del motor están calientes y puedencontener chispas que a su vez pueden ori-ginar incendios si entran en contacto conmaterial seco o combustible.Algunos silenciadores están equipadoscon un rejilla especial apagachispas (Y).Si el silenciador de su máquina incluye unrejilla apagachispas de este tipo, debe lim-piarla regularmente. Para tener acceso ala rejilla, remueva la cubierta del enchufeen el frente del silenciador. Use un cepillode acero para limpiar la rejilla. En silencia-dores sin catalizador, el apagachispas sedebe limpiar y/o cambiar una vez por se-mana, si es necesario. En silenciadorescon catalizador, se debe revisar el apaga-chispas y limpiarlo, si es necesario, unavez por mes. Si el apagachispas se dañadebe ser cambiado. Si se obstruye confrecuencia, esto puede ser señal de que elcatalizador no funciona correctamente.Consulte a su distribuidor para inspeccio-nar el catalizador. Si el apagachispas seobstruye, la máquina se recalienta y sedañan el cilindro y el pistón.

CarburadorSu producto Husqvarna ha sido construidoy fabricado conforme a especificacionesque reducen los gases de escape tóxicos.Cuando el motor ha consumido 8--10depósitos de combustible, se dice que elmotor ha sido rodado. Para asegurarse deque funcione de la mejor manera y despidala menor cantidad posible de gases tóxicosdespués del período de rodaje, contacte asu distribuidor autorizado del servicio paraque ajuste su carburador.

Functionamiento

S El régimen del motor se controla me-diante el acelerador y el carburador. En elcarburador se efectúa la dosificación dela mezcla de aire y combustible.

S Con el tornillo T (X) se regula la posicióndel acelerador en ralentí. El ralentí se au-menta girando el tornillo T en el sentidode las agujas del reloj y se reducegirándolo en sentido contrario a las agu-jas del reloj.

Reglaje básicoS El reglaje básico del carburador se lleva a

cabo en las pruebas que se hacen en fábri-ca. El reglaje final debe ser realizado por untécnico especializado.

XSeguridad de mantenimientoAntes de realizar cualquier tarea de man-tenimiento, salvo reglajes en el carburador,desconecte la bujía.Antes de realizar cualquier tarea de man-tenimiento, salvo reglajes en el carburador,desconecte la bujía.

Limpie el filtro cada 25 horas de funciona-miento o más seguido si trabaja en un entor-no muy polvoriento.Limpieza del filtro de aireDesmonte la cubierta del filtro de aire (DD)y retire el filtro. Lávelo en agua jabonosacaliente. Aclare el filtro totalmente. Controleque el filtro esté seco antes de volver amontarlo. Un filtro utilizado durante muchotiempo no puede limpiarse del todo. Por tan-to, hay que cambiarlo a intervalos regulares.PRECAUCIÓN! Un filtro de aire averiadodebe cambiarse.

Sistema de refrigeración

El motor se equipa de un sistema de refrig-eración para mantener la temperatura defuncionamiento correcta.El sistema de refrigeración del motor estácompuesto por:1. Toma de aire del dispositivo de arranque (Z).2. Aletas de ventilación del volante (AA).3. Aletas de refrigeración del cilindro (BB).4. Cubierta del cilindro (conduce el aire

refrigerante hacia el cilindro).Limpie las partes accesibles del sistema derefrigeración con un cepillo una vez por se-mana, o con intervalos más cortos si se tra-baja en condiciones difíciles. Si el sistemade refrigeración está sucio u obturado, sesobrecalienta el motor y pueden averiarse elcilindro y el pistón.

Los factores siguientes afectan al estadode la bujía:S Carburador mal regulado.S Mezcla de aceite inadecuada en el com-

bustible (demasiado aceite o aceite in-adecuado).

S Mala calidad del combustible y el aceite.S Filtro de aire sucio.Estos factores producen revestimientos enlos electrodos de la bujía que pueden oca-sionar perturbaciones del funcionamiento ydificultades de arranque. Si la potencia dela máquina es demasiado baja, si es difícilarrancar la máquina o si el ralentí es irregu-lar: revise primero la bujía antes de tomarotras medidas. Si la bujía está muy sucia,límpiela y compruebe que la separación delos electrodos sea de 0,6 mm (0,024 de pul-gada). La bujía debe cambiarse aproxima-damente después de un mes de funciona-miento o más a menudo si es necesario.
