Modular, easy-to-manage network storage for outstanding workgroup productivityThe Dell/EMC CX200 is optimized for organizations deploying cost-effective, workgroup SAN and direct-attachstorage solutions. It offers the ease of management and performance required by companies running popularworkgroup applications including file/print, e-mail, light database and Web services. Designed with flexibility andease-of-deployment in mind, The CX200 delivers the same modularity and Web-based storage managementinterface as other members of the Dell/EMC CX series.

This reliable 2Gb full Fibre Channel system provides high functionality and performance, while offering highavailability and data integrity- all at a very affordable price. And unlike any competitive product in its class, theCX200 offers a "data-in-place" upgrade to the more powerful CX400 or CX600 models to meet expanding businessneeds. Full 2Gb Fibre Channel features, such as fully redundant components and dual active storage processors,provide high levels of availability and data integrity, making the CX200 an advanced disk array for its class.

Building-block modularity enables easy, non-disruptive growthAvailable in a rack-mount chassis, the Dell/EMC CX200 offers an easy storage entry point of just three 2Gb FibreChannel drives in a direct attach configuration. With the consistent hardware and software architecture ofDell/EMC comes distinct advantages. The Dell/EMC CX series' modular design enables customers to addadditional drives as their requirements expand. This capacity can be added to the CX200 in a non-disruptivemanner by simply adding a Fibre Channel or ATA disk array enclosure (DAE2) with additional drives to match theneeds of different applications.

High storage density drives configuration flexibility and economyThe CX200 is a rack-mount array that can be configured with up to 30 drives, offering a maximum capacity of 5.9TBin just 7U of rack space (12.25 inches). This compact form factor helps maximize density, driving high capacity perunit of rack space.

Investment protection with data-in-place upgradeCustomers with expanding connectivity, scalability or performance needs can upgrade a CX200 to a CX400 orCX600 array without moving their data. Traditional upgrades typically involve a difficult and complex datamigration. With the CX200, the process is streamlined and the disk drives and their associated information nevermove. A consistent, proven, family architecture enables this business flexibility.

Simplified SoftwareNavisphere® Manager Base enables a business to effectively configure and monitor a single Dell/EMC CX200system through an easy-to-manage Web-based user interface. If you plan to manage your CX200 array next toother Dell/EMC systems, you can upgrade to Navisphere Manager and Analyzer.

Access Logix provides secure, shared, or selective server access to the CX200 storage array in mixed andhomogeneous platform environments. Protection is provided and easily managed centrally and graphically withDell/EMC Navisphere Manager software. Access Logix controls access to both reading and writing data,configuration changes and management of array resources. While allowing multiple hosts to share a single array,Access Logix creates a safe environment by protecting data where it resides - on the array.

PowerPath™ is a server resident, I/O path management solution that helps keep your applications continuouslyavailable. PowerPath's automatic failover capability permits data to flow through an alternate I/O path in theevent of a failure between the server and the CX200.

Manage Dell SANs from a single console with EMC VisualSAN®. Topology maps clearly represent all thecomponents of the SAN and make it easier to check status, monitor events and performance and take appropriateactions to improve utilization, and prevent or correct problems.
