Vol. 59, No. 11 November 2017 I can’t believe it’s already November. This year has really gone by too fast. The outside of the building is looking great! It’s amazing what some paint will do to spruce the place up. We will be starting the inside of the dining rooms very soon. Please, pardon our mess as we make our lodge the best it can be. There is a lot going on the next month or so. Be sure to check the calendar. Our next big event will be our Veteran’s Dance on the 18 th . Please reserve your seats at the bar. All the money raised by this great event stays here in Indiana. Every year we donate it to the Indiana VA hospitals. We will be having Waylon T as the band, so I’m sure it will be a fun night. We are raffling off a 22-cal Henry Golden Boy to help raise money for the Veterans so ask the bartender for tickets for your chance to win. We will also have our Annual Member’s Thanksgiving dinner this month. Please join us for this special dinner. A final note for business: At the first lodge meeting of the month, on November 2, we will hear Pam Lee’s appeal in regards to her membership status. Hello!

Can you believe we are already kicking off the holiday season? I hope this finds you all doing well as you prepare for the busyweeks ahead.

We have a lot going on this month and hope that you plan to join us for the following events:

On Saturday November 4, we have scheduled a special evening of music featuring our very own, Rex Vanzant. TheDarkhorse Tribute, Beetles and Beyond, will begin at 7pm. Rex performed at the lodge a few years ago and we are soexcited to finally have him back. If you have seen him perform in the past, you already know that you do not want to miss thisopportunity. If you have not yet had the pleasure of catching one of his tribute shows, make sure you mark your calendar forthis night. The kitchen will be open from 6-9pm offering our regular Saturday menu.

Saturday November 18 is the date for our annual Veterans Dance. The committee has been hard at work with fundraisingefforts for several months as this is our biggest charity event of the year. Please make your dinner reservations as soon aspossible and plan to stay for the Waylon T Band.

If you cannot attend, a donation can be made at any time and would be greatly appreciated by our Indiana Veterans.

Also note that the Elks bus will be available for the yearly trip to the Indiana Veterans Home in Lafayette on SaturdayNovember 11.

The annual Thanksgiving dinner for members of lodge #484 will be held on Monday November 20 at 6pm. Please makesure you that you put your name on the sign-up sheet so that we have an appropriate number of meals prepared.

A few announcements and reminders for November:
