ELIZABETH AUDREY WHITFIELDJanuary 4th, 1928 - July 21st, 2017

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Elizabeth Audrey Whitfield. Beth passed away in Moose Jaw, SK on Friday, July 21st, 2017 at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Lois Gallaugher; husband of 49 years, Norman; brother, Clinton Gallaugher; and infant grandson, Christopher Whitfield. Beth is survived by her brother, Lyle (Kathy) Gallaugher of Regina, SK; sons, Barry (Gail) Whitfield and Dale (Helen) Whitfield of Briercrest, SK; daughters, Brenda (Larry) Paysen of Briercrest, SK and Vickie (Lawrence) Getzlaf of Moose Jaw, SK; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. On June 3rd, 1948 Beth married Norman Whitfield. They lived in Briercrest where they farmed and raised their family. In 2005 Beth moved to Moose Jaw, where she made many new friendships and enjoyed numerous activities. We would like to thank the staff at the Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, SK, Extendicare in Moose Jaw, SK, the Dr FH Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK, Teresa and We Care, for taking such good care of our Mom over the past 7 months. A Celebration of Beth’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 26th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Eleanor Akins will officiate and a private family interment will take place at the Briercrest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Beth’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
